Pecan Peach Pancakes and Bandari Bowl
    Yoland E.

Came here for brunch with a friend and tried a sweet and savoury item. We were both intrigued by the cozy interior and unique menu items. The pecan peach pancakes were good, the combination of flavours worked well, but it was also nothing to ride home about. The bandari bowl was more flavourful in comparison, but quite small and one note. The service here was nice but quite slow. Overall, my experience here was just okay.

I thought this place was closer to where I was going, but happy that I came here because the ambiance in here is super cute. It's definitely got the Kensington market vibe. Came in here for brunch before we went to the Bata Museum and there were three of us. I ordered the prosciutto croissant brunch with a side of fresh fruits because I didn't want the potato wedges. I also had the saffron latte - I didn't enjoy this very much because I'm East Indian and I thought the taste of saffron would be a bit stronger than it actually was. You can tell about this place has an antique vibe however what I didn't appreciate was that my chair back was broken and there was no other tables available where we could sit and so I had to suffer through brunch. it's also a very intimate place so if claustrophobia is a thing for you, I wouldn't recommend dining inside.

Arch Cafe is adorable and the breakfast was delicious! Would especially recommend the Persian Omlette - a really unique and delicious dish. Only downside is the weekday menu is a bit more limited.

Cute little cafe that serves coffee and a fully stocked bar. It was so cold out I stopped to get a coffee and ended up ordering a caramel macchiato. The service is super friendly- but that is a constant thing in Canada - I am in love with this place. This would be a place I would feel comfortable working from - they have free Wi-Fi and food.

I'm absolutely thrilled to have stumbled upon this amazing spot! I was on the hunt for a cute coffee shop with brunch options and a laid-back vibe. When I walked in, the staff greeted me with such warmth. I decided to sit on the patio, which had the perfect vintage charm I adore, and the music wasn't too loud, which I appreciated. It was the ideal setting for me to get some work done without any distractions. I ordered their cardamom latte and Mazafati omelette, both of which were delicious. Can't wait to come back and try more of their food! Not to mention prices are very reasonable for a good homemade meal.

A quaint middle eastern coffee shop that transforms into a bar in the afternoon. I mean it's a great concept since it keeps the business open for longer. It also serves a small menu of middle eastern dishes which I am most interested in. The café's décor and style fits right into the audience of Kensington market. It is very rustic looking, but still with a hip and stylish feel. The café is rather small and you can expect it to be quite busy. The food took a while to come so don't come here on a time crunch. Rather come here for a relaxing and quiet place to chill or as a date. Persian omelette - An interesting concept of adding tomato sauce to an omelette and cooking them together. The omelette was coated on top with a mix of herbs which added to the taste and texture, but ultimately was not for me. I have several complaints for this dish, eggs over cooked (or maybe denatured from acidity of tomatoes) and the herbs didn't add much flavour as I'd like (maybe too much tomato sauce?). It came with a side of sangak which I wished to be a bit more and also a bit crispier. I would not come back for this dish. Cardamon & honey latte - The latte was nicely and promptly made; it had good flavour and would get it again. After my dish, I would not have high expectations for the food. Instead, I would return for the atmosphere and drinks as it is a nice place to hangout and sit.

    Persian omelette and green tea

My friend and I came here for a hearty brunch around 11am and were seated right away in their patio in the back (we also had the option to dine indoors). We both got the persian omelette which consists of eggs scrambled in their housemade tomato sauce topped with assorted dried herbs and served with 2 pieces of sangak bread, side salad with pickled vegetables. Okay, so this tasted like another delicious version of shakshuka but different consistency and different spices perhaps they use. I loved this persian omelette so much and I loved well the sangak bread complimented the omelette. I felt it was a pretty good portion. I also had the peach and mango green tea which was nice and refreshing! Service was great as I noticed perhaps only one person? was working. I loved how cute the store is with its cozy furniture and homey vibes.

    Gonna park it right here

I'll fall in line with the other Yelpers and give them 5 stars just because I can. I've recommended this spot a couple times already and just now writing a review. Looking at Yelp, it's a little surprising to me that they have been open with a 5 star rating for over a year now and only 3 reviews. Wtf? Gordon K. also laments about the lack of Yelpie love. Interesting. That aside, I've only been once for brunch here and it was a great experience. I ordered the omelette and it was unlike any omelette I've had before. It is a style made by the Persians (Iranians) where they separate the yolk and white and beat them into a fluffy cloud of deliciousness. The food was great! I had bacon as a side and there was some fruit on the plate as well. What made it even better here is the spot I had to sit. I had a little couch/ loveseat all to myself in a corner and ate from what seemed like a coffee table for that family feeling. It would be a hell of a cozy spot for a morning date if you had someone with you. I peeked at the back patio and it looked pretty tightly packed back there with not much room, but everyone was happy nonetheless. As others point out this is obviously a family run business. That can go both ways. You can feel the tension when customers show up and staff is stressed, but on the plus side the attention to detail and genuine warmth offered is palpable and appreciated by anyone who has a soul. Highly recommended!

Vegan Platter: Assorted sauteed mushrooms, spinach & onion with pomegranate usage, sliced avocado, and small lentil soup, served with sangak bread & Arch's secret sauce. I thoroughly enjoyed this meal and the lentil soup was addictive. It had a beautiful light lemony flavour. Make sure to try their honey & cardamom cold latte as well. Service was great and atmosphere homey. Restroom ... meh.

This is a nice spot if you are visiting the Kensington Market area of Toronto and are looking for a place to grab brunch. They have both indoor and outdoor seating (a front and back patio) and cute decor. The day I went, I didn't have to wait at all for a table. I tried a cardamom/honey latte and the Dutch baby and both were delicious. Keep in mind they do take time to cook your order fresh so be prepared to wait . All in all, I would recommend giving them a try!

Dutch Baby surrounded by the Bazaar Breakfast Plater, Mazafati Omelette & Pistachio Rose Cake
    Nader A.

An absolute delight of a place for breakfast with an interesting and innovative menu. We (4 people) shared an order of each: Bazaar Breakfast Platter, Mazafati omelette, Dutch Baby and Pistachio Rose Cake. The variety was kind of overwhelming, in a good way! Our servers were very pleasant, knowledgeable about the menu and helpful with details of ingredients and tastes. Prices were reasonable. Ambiance was fine. Everything was good enough to tip extra.

    Ismael A.

This was a great find while exploring the Kensington Market. I enjoyed this small and unique breakfast place, which seems like a house turned into a restaurant. We ordered the Dutch Baby with Berry Festival toppings & scrambled eggs and bacon toppings. Both meals were great! Will visit again if in the area. The service was decent.

From the hostess to the waitstaff. All very polite and welcoming. We observed them with other guests and they seemed very patient with the loud kids...and adults to be fair. LOL We had the big skillet both days as well as the breakfast sandwich. While there were some variances, we enjoyed both experiences. The first visit was better in my opinion - the potatoes were tender and not overcooked and my fruit cup didn't have a lot of cantaloupe. I have shared pictures of the menu as well. We had sparkling water and diet cola both times. Our beverages never ran dry. There is an upstairs that overlooks the first floor dining area. We wondered if anyone had ever spilled a beverage that landed on guests below. We could definitely see the possibility of that happening. They also had a nice patio, however, on the hotter days, not sure how enjoyable the city smell would be while trying to eat. Interesting - they only had one bathroom. So we observed a line. And there are tables right next to the door. I would avoid those seats if possible. A little too close to the restroom in my opinion. If we are in the area again, we would definitely eat here again, although they may be at the new location if we visit in the future. I look forward to seeing the upgraded features at the new location.

Especially liked the artwork and table with their name on it. I had the Nutella latte, Nutella and strawberry waffle, and a side of sausage. Didn't like the sausage at all (tasted a bit gamey) but that's probably because ein the states there are nitrates, etc that make it taste better. No biggie! She switched it out for bacon, and that was fine and appreciated. My sister had the breakfast tacos that looked delicious and she really enjoyed. All in all this was a great pick and I would return when im Canada ever again and I'm in the area. Keep up the great work, Pierina. Her welcoming attitude attentiveness and knowledge of the menu was stellar and warrants recognition. Thank you!!!

The almond croissant, when you're lucky enough to claim one before nine, delivers a genuinely impressive balance of shattering, buttery layers and a filling laced generously with almond cream, more Parisian in spirit than most bakeries attempting the same feat across this city. Even the raspberry version, when available, carries the same confident hand in the kitchen. The coffee program deserves equal praise. A well pulled latte and a properly balanced cappuccino suggest a team that treats espresso with the same seriousness as their pastry case, and it shows in the cup. Where the experience finds room to grow is in the choreography of the space itself. The room is petite, charming in its cobalt blue framed way, but the flow between ordering and pickup can feel cramped during a rush, and seating fills quickly. The patio, however, is a genuine reward, a shaded perch worth claiming on a slow afternoon. This is a cafe operating with real ambition and skill, let down only occasionally by its own popularity. Also pretty good... shrimp was cooked fine and the garnishes worked with it. - Tuna Ceviche with avocado, cilantro, corn, red onions, leche de tigre, cancha, plantain. This one was average. This was one pretty bad... some of the worst hamachi I have ever had! Overly fishy and off-colour. Service (4/5) - server and assistants were friendly and generally attentive.
