Only a few beers are on tap, and they're crap. The better stuff is in bottles and cans, including Old Style. Correct, that's what's considered a good beer. It's $2.25 for a big can. There's a pool table in the middle of the bar and patrons often get in the way. Simply no room to move around here. The good thing is this always feels crowded because of this. Have a good time but it's not a good idea bringing too many people because they can't fit. It also seems they finally got rid of the rotating hand towel in the bathrooms so they're getting modern. I handed her the phone back and she hung up on her boss and told me he did not have anything to tell me, which is a lie because he told me he was going to tell her how to do it. Then she proceeded to throw digs at me when ever she came back in the bar area. Finally one of the guest had to change the channels because she could not figure it out. It was not only to me but every guest commented she was a witch to them also. We could not decide if she was all there- could not get orderes right or remember them, did not finish orderes before going on to the next customer. Their loaner bowling balls are very old and beat up as well, full of dings and gouges in many of the balls. As far as the lanes themselves, YIKES! Step back into the 80s as if the lanes were never resurfaced since this place opened. Lanes are full of dents, warped and in bad shape. She was extremely knowledgeable and detail oriented, but also kind and flexible, giving advice and direction when needed, and deferring to our vision for everything else. From the very first meeting, we were made to feel at home from everyone at ACC. From the start, Peggy stressed that her goal was to make our dream a reality. To that end, at no point were we given a list of standard "packages", instead always being asked open ended questions about what we wanted. This could be seen in the dinner selection, where instead of a pre-selected list of dishes, we were asked by the chef what kind of flavor profiles we were looking for, and then given a large variety of options that fit our preferences. In the end, the dinner we chose was phenomenal. The club itself is absolutely beautiful. The drive up is on a charming tree lined road, and guests are greeted with a welcomingly large and warm foyer as they walk in, complete with a large fireplace. Our cocktail hour was in a separate room from the main dinner, yet there was plenty of space available to mingle and move around before dinner began. Behind the scenes, the men's and women's locker rooms provided great privacy and security for the wedding party to change and freshen up. The main dining room is lined with windows giving a beautiful vista of the golf course and landscape outside. The wait staff was extremely attentive and prompt, following our schedule perfectly. This attentiveness didn't end after dinner was finished; as the night was coming to a close, Peggy noticed the guest count was still pretty high (a testament to our DJ, but that's a different review). Because of this, without prompting, she had the kitchen prepare more late night snack bags so that no one would go home empty handed. We are beyond happy with our experience at the Aurora Country Club, and wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a customized selection of food and appetizers, an accommodating staff, and an elegant space. You will not be disappointed.

I was surprised by the food in this place When you walk in, the place looks clean. Nothing seemed sticky. Seems like it is kind of a dive bar on the outside but when you walk in, I don't get that feeling at all. It looks like this place has a bunch of regulars as everyone knows everybody's name. You get us two weirdos from out of town but we didn't feel uncomfortable at all. We ordered cheese curds, a shrimp wrap and a pork tenderloin sandwich. Cheese curds are definitely real and not frozen. Some places you get frozen curds not here. The tenderloin sandwich had a Thai sauce which even without the sauce would have been a good sandwich. The sauce made the sandwich great. My wife had a shrimp wrap and that was also delicious. The fries had this pepper seasoning that were making them hit the spot. The waitress/bartender was pretty attentive. It was slow when we got here but told me the tenderloin was good and she was correct. She also kept our drinks full. Plus, it is just her and watching her now as the place got more crowded she is not messing around. The prices are very reasonable too. We are walking out spending 50 dollars with 5 drinks and an appetizer. That is not bad at all. If we got bottles, we would have saved more. I would recommend coming to this place. I simply asked why some people were playing with their own shoes, and instead of explaining, he became rude and aggressive. He told me I couldn't bowl and even gestured for me to leave. I stayed calm and said I'd pay for the shoes anyway just to avoid any issue, but he still refused to let me play. When I asked for the manager, Tony, things got worse. He approached with a laughing, dismissive attitude, interrupted me constantly, and even started raising his voice while I was trying to explain politely. His behavior was shockingly unprofessional -- honestly, Tony doesn't seem fit for even the lowest customer-service role, let alone a management position. The entire interaction made me feel completely disrespected and possibly discriminated against. No customer should be treated this way for simply asking a question. This place desperately needs better management and training in professionalism, respect, and basic customer service. I would strongly recommend avoiding this bowling center.
