A Groupon deal brought us here, but the great conversation with Joseph kept us going. We came in with a flight for 2 and tried a chenin blanc, brut rose (sparkling), syrah, trincadeira, vinho branco doce. I'd give you my thoughts but it's a tasting and we all have our preferences, so just try them all and see what you think! We then had a glass of the 2017 Acampo Tempranillo and the Winters "hazy" Tempranillo rose. If you like something dry and bold during a cold winter day, then the Tempranillo is a good choice. If you're new to wine though, I'd avoid it and try the rose instead. You'll find indoor and outdoor seating here. The indoor space is very cozy with comfortable and clean velvet couches. It's a great atmosphere/vibe. The outdoor area has high stools and countertops as well as lower, regular tables for 4. There are some areas that can host a group of 10 people well.

Been living in Davis for years and just discovered this place! Can't beat a $20 tasting for 5 different wines. Plus the wine was good! My housemate and I loved the hazy rose and ended up buying a bottle afterwards. The owner was really nice and the atmosphere was perfect. They had light music, a beautiful outdoor patio, and an indoor lounge-type of space. This is perfect regardless of the weather and it surprisingly wasn't too crowded. I wouldn't have noticed this location unless I had seen their sign downtown on the corner of 4th and G streets. Definitely recommend stopping by!

Wowzers!! I've always loved little wine bar. Haven't been since last summer and to my pleasant surprise it has been "remodeled". The interior has a new and expanded seating area with sectioned spaces. Nice brown cozy leather seating, natural woods. It's beautiful inside. There's also plenty of seated outdoor space. I haven't even mentioned how wonderful the wine selection is!! Definitely coming here after work or after a visit to Ace for a glass of wine more often!! And the homemade Sangria is amazing too!!

This has been my best find in Davis so far!! Cork It Again is an intimate yet casual tasting room that offers a variety of local wines. My friend and I only saw this on the way to Delilah's-- it's so tucked away and hidden that I'm astounded we even saw it at all. Walking in, we were the only occupants in this tiny, tiny space, aside from the co-owner, Jake. With only four barstools available, Cork It Again encourages conversation between you, the bartender, and any others who happen to come by. He welcomes you to try a few wines, free of charge-- a full tasting of the entire list is only $7 for 8 generous pours. Not to mention that the place makes 2 sangrias fresh, weekly. Jake is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. I appreciated that he was so patient talking us through each wine, even explaining basic terminology to a wine noob like me :-) I felt comfortable asking questions like what "full-bodied" or "astringent" meant, when I'd previously felt embarrassed to ask at other establishments. Props to him for being such a gracious host and making this experience as wonderful as it was.

He let us know that happen to have a vintage 2018, 2019 & 2021 red wine flight for $30, we did the wine flight while hubby got the draft beer. We also decided to get a light appetizer to go with our drinks that night we got the pita bread with the warm hummus, everything is made in house and everything was so delicious. So good you almost wanna lick the plate. Our daughter walked around to take a look at the collection that they had on the wall where you can buy bottles there, Jared personally, came out to answer any question that she had about the wines and he was very knowledgable about it all. As we sat there and enjoyed our evening together, we saw all sorts of people trickle in, sit down and have drinks and food and just talk. The ambiance is very relaxed and very chill. It's so nice to know that a cool place like this exist in Davis. We will definitely be back next time with more friends and family. We enjoyed ourselves very much and it is so lovely that it has so many cute gifts and trinkets to buy for that wine enthusiast in your life. So I was happy to find yet another Sacramento Valley gem away from usual touristy hot spots. I came for a special event with delicious sips, and samples of their menu. The versatile and styled ambience is perfect for a casual date, after work hangout spot, or an elevated wine tasting. Nothing pretentious here though, just lots of heart shown in the thoughtful decor, local art displays, and versatile seating - you can choose to saddle up to the bar, sit at a small table or high top with a group, or lounge in a conversation area of moveable velvet chairs for casual laughs with friends. The drinks are fun and imaginative. I sampled both the cowboy margarita that came with a cute hat decoration, and an Aperol spritz. Many of the guests raved about the mocktail options, such as their rendition of the Shirley Temple. For their size, they have a generous and well curated retail selection of wines, plus a cooler with craft beers and other beverages you can enjoy there or take home. For food they have a solid options of savory items that punch above typical bar food, such as the Croque Monsieur - that I helped myself to seconds of! - escargot, and bone marrow. The owner operator was an amazing host and her team did an awesome job quickly serving our group, who all seemed to descend on the place at once! This a 21+ spot, so you have an excuse to leave the kids at home! Can't wait to return!

We had different servers who attended to us and they're both friendly and looked cheerful. We got there towards the end of Happy Hour and was presented with their Happy Hour menu. The menu is small, easy to read and has almost everything we'd want for that time of day - including the drinks. The food is a 'hit' or 'miss'. Here's my review: Drinks: Both the Arnold Palmer and the Cadillac Margarita were good. My lemonade tea wasn't overly sweet and I could definitely taste the lemonade. The pitcher of Cadillac Margarita looks innocent but may give someone a slow and powerful buzz if you're not used to the drink. (4.75 of 5) Charcuterie: This a complete appetizer board. Overall, there were some hits and misses, however, we agreed this is a well thought out appetizer board. (4 of 5) Crispy Brussels Sprouts: This is the best dish here, featuring deeply caramelized, dark golden-brown edges and a nutty, earthy flavor. Their Crispy Brussels Sprouts is also the best we've had. The seasoning is on-point, allowing the texture to show off its crackling, crunchy bite on the outside, contrasted by a tender, melt-in-your-mouth interior. (5 of 5) Seasonal Tacos: "Oh WOW!" The explosion of spicy and tangy flavours balanced by contrasting textures makes this dish "pop". (4.75 of 5) Beet Salad: The colours were lovely, but this beet salad was over-salted. The vibrant dish featuring beets as the main ingredient, balances the earthy sweetness with contrasting textures and flavours. If this wasn't too salty, it would have been more refreshing. (3.75 of 5) Coconut Lime Bouillabaisse (halibut, jasmine rice, spinach, snap pea, pickled shiitake mushroom, coconut lime broth, basil oil): Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought Bouillabaisse means seafood. The only seafood we noticed were chunks of halibut, which were delicious. This dish looks and tastes more like an elevated Thai soup dish that cost too much. (3.5 of 5) After walking in, we decided to sit outdoors because of the loud music that was playing. We're glad we did. The overhang on the veranda was well positioned with plants and flowers softening the cement walkway. The weather was pleasant - with a gentle breeze blowing down the corridor. Parking is easy if you arrive early enough. One last note: Back Door Bistro in Vacaville was featured on "Check, Please! Bay Area"
