Ya'll are so sweet and helpful, but for me, it's a bit overstimulating! Almost to the point I have trouble coming in. I know it's all out of kindness and wanting to help, but being asked what you can get for me the second I walk in when I just want to browse for a minute is a bit much. I'm followed all around the store and I feel pressure to get in and get out. I think it should also be an option to have stuff carried to the car, not everyone wants that. Just some advice! Every single retail and service business should take lessons from this place as this is the best shopping experience you will have. Every single time I go, an employee sees me coming and will rush to open the door for me. When you go in, you could just tell them what you're looking for and they will go get it for you and bring it to the counter. I usually browse but they ALWAYS offer. They are always incredibly attentive and friendly and the prices are competitive which you usually don't see at small businesses. Usually they're more. Just moved to downtown Franklin and I've visited this store twice. They open the door for you, bring your dog food out to your car--seriously?! I've never had this experience at a pet store. So happy this is right down the street from me, but even if it wasn't I would still come here just because the service is stellar! I am so thrilled I found this pet store for dog food. I already do grocery shopping in the center (Sprouts), and my dry cleaners is a couple doors down, so to add a third business to my list in the center absolutely thrills me. This is true adulting - the excitement about these kinds of things. I've always invested in high quality dog food for my dogs, and this center carries the cream of the crop - Acana, Orijen, Stella & Chewy's as well as many other not super expensive brands, so a variety to suit different preferences/budgets. The friendliness and engagingness of the employees cannot be beat. That is what first struck me. One of the associates immediately came up to me asking if I needed any help, and it was authentic. The same kind of interaction happened with the other employee at the register. I also noticed they have a flyer posted on their door of weekly specials/discounts on various brands and products, to which you can subscribe to a weekly email list of! I have been having issues with keeping my sanity. I admit I'm a total neat freak and have become adapted to living alone. I adopted the best little man cat a couple months ago and finding the best litter for us has been so difficult. Cheap brands just don't work due to the mess and heavy scents to cover the just as heavy smell of cat waste. I stopped at the store on a whim because I was in the area and didn't have to lift a finger. The employee that helped me was very knowledgeable and knew exactly what I needed immediately and gave my information that made me comfortable purchasing something a little more expensive than what we are used to! Nice employees, they seem to always be open, and when was the last time someone insisted on carrying a 10 pound bag of dog food to the car for you? If it wasn't recent, then that's because you're not shopping here. They have 3 resident cats, 2 of them are friendly, and the third (Henry) is human friendly but doesn't care for dogs. If your pet has a special dietary need or issue, definitely visit. They are quick to give out sample packs of food to help you decide, and they have customer loyalty programs, too. The best! Everyone who works at this shop is so nice and helpful. The service is great, and they carry a great variety of foods, toys, and supplies. This is one of the only shops in the area where we've been able to find all of the food our cat likes. They help you choose the best products for your pet and even care the bags of food (which in our case was heavy) to your car. This store is not only the best pet store, but one of the best stores in general!!! Customer service is amazing. They always have my cat food ready at the counter when I call to make sure it's available, and when it's not available, they order it ASAP and let me know when I can pick it up. Everyone in here is so happy to help, and genuinely cares about you and your pet. It's because of the staff's knowledge I was turned on to the amazing brand of food my cat now loves. Excellent selection! This is my favorite pet supply store of all the ones I've visited since moving to Franklin. I can walk in and get food, treats, and toys (whatever I need) for my cats, dog, and bird. Decently priced for everything, too. In the past I shopped at the Nashville location and always had a positive experience. In the last 3 months I started shopping at the smaller Franklin location and each time I have had a negative experience. The smaller location has a much smaller selection than Cruzen. I am a K9 handler and trainer, I have more than a few K9's and I spend a hefty amount each month at their stores, even with their prices being significantly higher, I march in there and plunk down my cash. However, I can just no longer tolerate the rudeness that permiates at the Franklin store. I often have to wait at the counter or I am just ignored, apparently turning invisible once I pass through their door. Most recently, while at the counter - one particular 'female' employee is chatting away on a personal topic (she never seems to be working). I am standing at the counter waiting (and waiting) to pay. I amuse myself by petting the cats, (they don't seem to like it there either) and I continue to wait while she chats away and ultimately walks out of the store and continues her chatting outside leaving me at the counter. I wait and I watch her standing outside chatting. I walk around looking for another employee, I spot one! Ah but she ignores me as well. Finally I ask; excuse me, I would like to pay for my item real quick, cash sale. She huffs, rolls her eyes and yells to someone and I mean yells to someone in the back, Again, I wait and wait..........finally I just walk out. This wasn't my first negative experience or even my fourth, it's standard practice at the Franklin store. I called Corporate office on Cruzen and spoke with James who stated; well I have been in there and I didn't have that experience. Wow what a stupid comment. I felt as I was being called a liar. He also doesn't apologize. As a K9 handler and trainer I am often asked for recommendations. Even the employees give bad reviews (read Glassdoor) so that might explain the attitude. Go in there if you want......but you will pay more, the selection is poor and the employees are rude. I will stick to the Cruzen location. read more
