Awesome food precooked from Kosher Meats yesterday. My daughter and I stumbled in while shopping in the center by accident. It was fate. Probably the most delicious food on earth. If I had to choose a "final meal", I would have the breaded chicken tenders, potatoes, and barley. I cannot emphasize enough how much I love their food. Nassau Kosher Meats offers great personal service and a nice selection of kosher meat and chicken. It isn't cheap but reasonable for kosher. The owner Alfie is a character, I love his sense of humor and he goes out of his way to help. Prepared foods are to the right of the main door and they're really good too. Kasha varnishkes, chopped liver, chicken cutlets and pasta with pesto are some personal faves. And don't forget the big freezer case stocked with chicken soup, matzoh balls and even healthy stuff like quinoa and turkey chili! Places like this are like a time warp (in a good way) when stores were friendly and small. Early opening hours (7:00AM), so convenient. Hope they never close. read more

I have purchased meat here for years. The chicken is always fresh and so is their meat. I ordered some prepared food with the chicken special on a Friday and everyone loved the cucumber salad and the beet salad. Definitely convenient for parking and the staff is always helpful! read more

I had been wanting to check out Nassau Kosher Meats for some time. One of my favorite foods is potato kugel, and it's not that easy to find it in this area. When I stopped in earlier today, the man behind the deli counter showed me that they had plenty. I asked when it was prepared. He answered that everything was prepared earlier this morning. I did not mind paying more for the kugel and other kosher products at this store because I wanted to support local business and appreciated the convenience. Unfortunately, the potato kugel was not prepared earlier today. When I took it home, it was soggy and crumbled the way food that has been previously frozen and defrosted does. It also tasted unfresh and was discolored on the bottom. This was clearly NOT cooked today. The cucumber salad was not that flavorful, but perhaps that can be a matter of taste. I have not yet opened the other items but they were prepackaged, so less chance for lying about freshness. read more
