I moved to San Diego about a year and a half ago and needed all new doctors. In Summer 2018, I found this office and had a routine cleaning, which was great. A few months later, I developed an infection in my jaw (I thought) and went back to Dr. Carmichael's office. She determined my tooth was dead and infected and I needed a root canal and crown (my first). Her staff was amazing throughout the process and so helpful with insurance and answering all of my questions. It was also determined that I had early gingivitis and was in need of a deep cleaning with lasers, which I just completed today. Again, Pablo and everyone answered all of my questions and worked with me to ensure I understood what is my responsibility to pay as a patient and what would be covered by my insurance. Bottom line: I would 100% recommend this office to anyone seeking dental care. I am so happy I found them and so thankful for everyone's care. Truly, they're great. I went here for the ultrasonic cleaning, first time. Appointment was delayed for about 15 mins, then we went for XRAY and junior doctor or intern tried to make it for an hour and failed. Then hygienist went in to help, so I luckily had just four extra X-RAY shots to complete it. Next was cleaning itself, that took 3 touches for each tooth with this stainless thing, spraying, 3 minutes of ultrasonic cleaning, and spraying polishing paste over my teeth even without touching it! Then I got a sales speech for 10 minutes from two doctors in a row that I have to buy a deep cleaning, and that's it. Then receptionist said that my cleaning is incomplete and I need another appointment to complete it, but next day he texted me, that it was a mistake and my cleaning was done. I definitely need a better clinic to make a cleaning as it has to be. read more

This is an outstanding office! The facility is very homey and they have great coffee. I am a dental professional for the last 25 years. My husband has been a patient of this office for the last year and a half. We have received nothing but the greatest care from the staff. The hygienist is fantastic! Very friendly, thorough and informative. The front-office staff handled all of my insurance needs and I feel blessed for that. Dr. Natalya is a stellar dentist. She tells you what you need to hear and doesn't suggest unnecessary treatment like other dentists are inclined to do. We will not be looking for another dentist. Dr. Carmichael is taking on Dr. Codington's practice as he retires. At first I was planning on finding another dentist closer to where we moved in Escondido after Dr. Codington retires, however I had the appointment scheduled and didn't want to reschedule. Best decision I have made in a long time. I would have to say it was the best cleaning I have ever had. After the cleaning, Dr. Carmichael came in to explain the results of my x-rays. Explained everything completely, very friendly and professional, she explains everything in a way that we as patience can understand. Her staff is also the best. Dr. Carmichael recently filled 7 of my teeth to fix abrasions due to brushing that were beginning to expose the nerves. Now the teeth look like new and no problem brushing! I especially liked her technology. For example, she used a camera to show me the problem exactly and vividly. But, even better, while filling the teeth, she used a new type of mouth guard that isolates her work area from the rest of my mouth and throat. It substantially reduced the amount of uncomfortable irrigation draining into my throat. Dr. Carmichael also has a good sense of humor, a plus for any doctor, and her staff was easy to work with in setting and resetting my schedule. read more

A crown had fallen out while flossing. I called around to find a dentist that could reinstall the crown. Since I am from out of town, it was not easy finding one who could help me the same day. Gloria the dental assistant was efficient, prepared, empathetic, friendly, and seemed to work well with the other staff members during my tooth extraction.
