Absolutely delicious ice cream! Despite the long line, it went quickly, and the orders were accurate. Among the best soft serve, and the kiddy cone was just enough but not too much. Parking was plentiful, and there are lots of tables. Will return when I'm in the area!

I thought it was a bit overrated in instagram. Nothing bad or anything it was just so average. I got the giant cone icecream and they didn't really stayed it very well that it got tilted immediately. Maybe because there were so many people that they didn't have enough time to do? I'm not sure. It wasn't worth of drive tbh. Price wasn't bad. People who love icecream can definitely checks out but I just really didn't like how my cream turned out to be and I had to dump it in the cup and eat it.

Nathan's has been on my list to try for a while and after my recent visit I'm happy to report that I get the hype! My sister and I both large soft serves (orange cream for me and fudge ripple for her) and they were amazing! Great price and great flavor, perfect for a hot summer day. I will say the line wrapped around the building was a little intimidating when we pulled up but it moved quickly and efficiently - it's a shorter wait than it looks and definitely worth it!

Outstanding! No question! I had the waffle nachos with vanilla chocolate swirling, peanut butter sauce and toasted coconut crunches for a topping. YUM And while I was waiting, this guy told me to try a sample of their lemon...it's a big time sellout. So I asked and they handed me a sample...and I can see why it's a sellout! Hey, there's not much of a view (your basic parking lot ), but to me, this is a serious soft serve ice cream stop. Seriously!

I heard about this place and decided to stop on a hot day. There was a line but it moved pretty fast. A cool thing they had was ice cream flights where we got to pick 4 flavors so we got cookie monster, cow trax, bessy's bakery, and Brownie Points. The cookie monster and brownie points were the best. The service was fast so if I am nearby and want ice cream this is the place.

The place is worthy of the hype and totally worth the drive to Manassas. It's a stand with seating out front so you can eat at the tables outside or take it to go. They're located in a large parking lot so there's plenty of parking even if they're crowded. They have a large menu with many soft serve and regular flavors and several different serving sizes. They even have a model showing how much you get with the various sizes. I had the seasonal harvest apples which were baked cinnamon apples and lots of vanilla soft serve ice cream. It was perfect and I was barely able to finish it all even though I was hungry. Service was very friendly and we ended up chatting with a friendly regular who frequents this place. I'll be back here for sure and there's a mini golf course next door you want to work off your ice cream.

I love the soft serve here. I haven't tried anything else, but it all sounds so good. The vibes here are great and everything is reasonably priced.

This place is truly a gem! The soft serve is sooo delicious (as expected!) because who doesn't like a nostalgic soft serve ice cream cone. The service is great and it is a super chill spot to stop and get ice cream. (No parking concerns since it's like in a parking lot across from mini golf place/) My favorite thing about this place is the amount of flavors they offer and that it rotates throughout the year! Also it's super affordable... and delicious of course! Worth a try if you are near by!

The best ice cream shop in Northern Virginia! We have been going to Nathan's regularly for years, and we are always happy with what Nathan's has to offer. Nathan's serves both soft serve, hand scooped ice cream, and shaved ice. My personal favorites are sundaes and milkshakes - which you can pretty much customize depending on your preferences. I highly recommend the cheesecake sundae and banana peanut butter milkshake. The staff is always nice and accommodating no matter what time we visit. The vibe is always happy - with families with kids or dogs lining up patiently and orderly. Inexpensive but always a delight. Keep up the good work, Nathan's.

You know this place is great because the line is always massive and wraps around the entire building. Here you'll find the best soft serve ice cream in the whole area. Great selection of hard scoop flavors and shave ice flavors too.

Tasty ice cream and cool vibe.

I'm not in the area often but Nathan's is a must when I am. I love soft serve and they have the most flavors I've ever seen at a shop. They also have tons of ice cream flavors. Their flight option is perfect if you have trouble picking between all of them. The service is also outstanding. There's usually a line on the weekends and they move pretty fast. The most recent time I went, I accidentally dropped the blue cotton candy on my shirt and they graciously gave me some dish soap on a wet napkin so it wouldn't stain.

    Are there bathrooms?

    Yes there is a bathroom

Are there dairy free options that aren't sorbet or Italian ice here?

They have dairy free options that are made out of almond milk

I'm considering to bring my 5 yr old here for dairy free ice cream. He's highly allergic to dairy and nuts, and I'm worried about cross contamination. Are the dairy free options truly dairy free? Can anyone comment and let me know? Thx in advance!

I absolutely would not risk it. This is a fast-paced environment and it's entirely possible that cross-contamination could occur, even if the employees did their best to try to prevent it. (For example, nuts could accidentally fall into another… Read more

The restaurant chain was established by the sons of a World War II veteran, Frederick Simon. The walls in the restaurant, including in the restrooms, are covered with photos of the guy, many of them detailing Freddy's accomplishments. In summary, I would definitely come back, largely by dint of the expansive menu. Service has its quirks and can be uneven because of the youth and inexperience of the staff. You pick up your hot food from a different counter than the one for desserts. In an unusual twist for a fast food establishment, they have a staffer come around periodically to customers at the tables to see if they need anything, even if that is nothing more than straws or napkins. Restaurant cleanliness was decent. Now on to the food... As an introduction to Freddy's I ordered the Freddie's Original Double Burger. You can customize them because I ordered mine sans pickles. The default Original Burger comes with 2 patties, cheese, a couple strands of onion and a whole bunch of yellow mustard. They have a catsup dispenser by the soft drinks, so I added catsup to mine. Mayo would have been good too. I would say this was an excellent burger. The tasty meat was kind of like a smash burger, flat and wide. The bun was sturdy. I then had a very good Signature Turtle sundae, a confection with frozen custard, chocolate and caramel sauces, pecans, adorned with whipped cream and a cherry. When all is said and done, I think I prefer frozen custard over ice cream.
