I've been going to this cleaners for over 15 years and the last time I went here I dropped off 6 pairs of slacks and instructed a young lady that I've never dealt with before to please check the lap area and pockets for stains and I pulled out and pair of pants that had food stains and showed her exactly where it was at. When I picked up my clothes and handed over my credit card, the person who helped me said that they're already charged my credit card on file. I was a little uneasy about that but I didn't say anything and took my clothes and left. When I got home to put my slacks in the closet, I saw that three of my pants still have food stains on them. I need to wear one of the pants the next day so I went to the kitchen and grabbed a paper towel and wet it and tried to use that to remove the stains which came out almost immediately. I went ahead and cleaned the other two and then inspected the other pants. Two of the three remaining pants had ink stains that were very visible. I don't recall dropping the pants off with ink stains on them but I do carry pens in my pockets at work so I'm pretty sure it was me that stained them. But either way, I was very disappointed that 5 out of the 6 pants came by unresolved. I called the store and spoke with a woman which really didn't get anywhere so I asked her if she can have Ruben, owner, call me. Three days goes by, no phone call from Ruben so I decided to stop by on the way to work. I spoke with Ruben and he was very rude with me stating that the spotters do the cleaning and the girls take the clothes in and they might not know if certain stains can be removed or not. I mentioned that this isn't my fault and that maybe you should train your girls to figure what stains can or cannot be removed and his response was, "it doesn't work that way!" I told him, what do you meant it doesn't work that way? I mentioned to him that I work at a car dealership and that if we can't fix someone's car, we are not going to charge them so why are you charging me for work that you're not able to complete properly? He replied, "so you want me to do work and not get paid for it?" I told him, "if you're not able to remove the stains, it would be nice if you can tell me upfront so that I don't have to pay for something you cannot do!" He then went on to say, "you work at a car dealership and your rip people off because you take cars that people trade in and then sell it again for more money!" Umm, yes we are a business but why are you insulting me when I can trying to fix a problem that we have!!! I was pretty upset and left but I went back and spoke with his daughter who said that she would like to work with me to resolve this and at the point, I was very upset so I told her that I want to leave so I can cool off but I asked her to call me later which she never did! It's been over 3 days. I'm just going to contest the charges with my credit company since they charged my credit card without my consent! They are really close to my house and I like the fact that the dry cleaning is done onsite. They were efficient and did a good job on the dress, suit and jacket I brought in. I went here a couple of years ago and will NEVER go back. Came to drop off a suit and shirt and was told it would be ready the next day. I called the next morning to see if they could put a rush on it and would pay the express fee. The lady told me she would call me right back to give me a definite answer and time it would be ready, which she later did. I came in 1 1/2 hours after I was told it would be ready. I come in and a completely rude woman tells me its not ready and walks away. I explain to her I called in earlier and was given a time to come back. If they were unable to do it in the time frame I could have taken it somewhere else who could. I ended up having to wait there longer trying to get someone's attention after just being ignored. This cleaners provide fast services. However, I used them about a dozen times spent approx. $300 and finally realized they don't dry clean well. Each time I noticed something clothes seem faded like they were cleaned other then dry cleaning. I question it and a older lady could not understand. Clothes are clean but girl working the front does not communicate well. I dropped off my clothes to be washed (fluff and fold) and explained one batch can't be washed/dried with fabric softener. The girl assured me they don't use fabric softener soo it didnt matter but when I picked up my laundry I had two charges for $11.70 for a 2 shirts and 2 pants. I asked her to explain why I was charged so much and she explained that she made it two orders, with two separate minimum charges, for the ones without softener. If she had communicated this in the beginning I would have just asked for no softener in all of them. I call to let them know they need to change the time on the website and the woman on the phone says she has no control over what the website says. Really? You have no way of contacting anyone who can change the time on the website or contacting anyone who works at that location to inform someone of the time discrepancy? And even if you don't how is that my problem as a potential customer coming into a business that you work for. Horrible customer service. There are two rules to customer service. #1 the customer is always right. #2 If the customer is wrong, they are right. That is because without customers you would not have a job. Before I wrote my review, I wanted to read some of the other reviews posted. I am lead to beleive that some, not all, but some reviews that put this business in a higher regard, are NOT legitimate reviews. I say this, beacuse my experiances, as well as my family members and friends have not been good at all. I will admit, I was a loyal customer for 20 plus years. The past couple of years, I've had spotty unpleasent interations with staff at both the PCH and Cherry locations. I've had items not well protected, stained in the cleaning process, buttons cracked, and clothing shrunk. I let it go, because I did'nt have the time or the knowledge to press forward with my dissatisfaction. Yesterday, was the last straw for me. I dropped off dry cleaning, including an embellished item that needed extra care. I received a call this morning at 10 am from Frank, informing me that my embellished item, could possibly be damaged in the dry cleaning process. That conversation went to the toilet. Hhile I appreciate the heads up, I get a call almost 24 hrs (they open at 7am) after I've dropped of my items to inform me of this and he does this apathetically. His hauutiness, and smugness in how he spoke to me ... frankly pissed me off! He basically dismissed me. When I asked for a contact to speak to someone superior to him, he said he could not give out a telephone contact He hand over the phone to Tommy, who identified himself as a supervisor. That did'nt go well, because as he tried to explain away,( in my opinon) serrvice promises made on the website, I now don't want National Cleaners to clean any of my things. He told me the process had already started and there was nothing he do. Well, Tommy, according to your website, you all dry clean combination and like garmets (suits, 2pc outfits, etc.) together to prevent fading of one object in the set. What say you? the bottom line is this, I will no long seek the services of National Cleaners (I have many other choices) and from what I've heard from other customers that I personally spoke to, some of them won't either. I hope the owners, the Galven family pays attention to these issues, because it's is too bad that a service used by many for many years is no longer reputable.
