I went there last week for the first time. I just needed two( 2) 36" runners sewn together. This was on a Wednesday, the lady told me it would be ready on Saturday, I was surprised, this job is less than 10 minutes plus I basted it with sewing pins already. She asked when I needed it, I said "today, if possible". We went back and forth for a bit but she told me to come back at 1:00pm which was about 3 hours later. I told her "thank you so very much." I don't usually leave reviews but the owner was so stubborn to accept his mistake that i am now left with. I wouldn't want this happening to someone else. We had choose this cleaners due to it being the cheapest and quickest option. we mistakenly trusted the man who works here who said he we do the job we wanted and no issue at all. So it was my surprise when i come back to pick up a new coat with damage. When confronted he shook his head and was trying to talk it down. When we repeatedly stated we were unhappy with his work he stated that if you go somewhere else it would be more expensive and that the damage is on the back and no one's going to see it. Although he had a point, i didn't come to the cleaners to pay for my articles to get damaged. He refused to talk to us and took the cash and was walking around pretending to be busy again as if it wasn't his problem. Not only is my real leather coat knicked and will probably start peeling but he somehow made it change texture. When i gave it to him it was more sturdy, it's almost like he used way too much heat and made it lose it's original feel. Please don't make my mistake, go some place else. Oh my gosh , I love this dry cleaners. Husband and wife team who are so nice, work so hard and are so professional. They get stains out that other dry cleaners couldn't, and had actually "set the stain". My husband loves the way they do his work shirts. They don't scorch the shirt or break buttons. They also do alterations and did a great job. Full service. They even help carry my clothes out to the car when I have a big order to pick up. Very happy with this operation! The older lady said it would take 3 days then she walked away started saying something to the older man in another language and I heard her say, he's new customer, then he shakes his head and comes to tell me, no 3 days. I will spare the details, but we attempted to use BKC for alterations to our son's suit for his wedding and our daughter's bridesmaid's dress. They promised completion the following week. They did not honor their word and I had to demand they return the items with literally 2 business days left before the wedding. I brought items in to have 1 button sewn on, 1 per short, 4 in total. I was charged $6 first time, same shorts she had sewn button on before and they now were being fixed by her again. I go in to pick up shorts and am being priced gouged at $32 for same exact order. Use caution and get that price in writing before leaving your stuff there. I only just started using this cleaners 4 or 5 months ago (I had been using Sang Q Cleaners on Orange and Carson across from the 99 cent store). I thought I would switch because they are closer to home ( a quick walk. They have been a decent cleaner but today I picked up a Red and white dress that was now a red and pink dress! The owner refused to acknowledge he had made a mistake and tried to say it was that way when I dropped it off. Decades ago when I went to Fosberg on Wardlow they lost a scarf and reimbursed me and another time they shredded the lining on my coat and immediately offered to replace it. I switched to Sang Q Cleaners when Fosberg changed owners. Sang Q Cleaners did lose one of my husbands shirts and gave him $50.00 credit in dry cleaning. Bixby Cleaners refused to even acknowledge their mistake! I refused to pay and I will not return. My advise to you is steer clear, they are without integrity. Don't come here! They will ruin your clothes and expect you to still pay! It's a couple that works together and it's their word against yours. Horrible customer service and the owner is very condescending. Unless you want your clothes ruined and alterations made for a 5 year old, don't bring your clothes here. BEST dry cleaners in Long Beach/Bixby Knolls area. Family owned by married older couple. NEVER had any problems with clothes smelling, delayed service, etc. Always a positive experience here. I go through a lot of dry cleaning because of dress clothes, so I'm in here 1-2 times a week. And, the prices are dirt cheap. Can't ask for more, right?? At first I was skeptical about trying this place because of how cheap the prices were. Thinking to myself "No way can a place charge a cheap price for great service." I WAS WRONG. Not only did the elderly couple do an amazing job, they were very accommodating with my specific instructions. My suit was dropped off Thursday morning (12/18) per the person I spoke to on the phone. I called to confirm that they could clean n press my suit, which I needed to wear the next day (12/19) to my mothers memorial service. I made arrangements to have the suit delivered per their instructions. When I arrived home the suit had been pressed but not clean. When I called to inquire the owner argued back at me and then hung up the phone. We had dropped off other items to be cleaned, so I stopped in this morning (12/19) to retrieve my remaining items. When I arrived I was told I could not have them back because they were in the machine, when the situation escalated to ME CALLING THE POLICE the owner suddenly found all my clothing in the laundry bin under the front counter. I went to this cleaners based on everyone's reviews. I did not get the same service as everyone else. My suit was pressed and cleaned but my sweater had some issues. The sweater has some flowers made out of the same sweater material. I've taken this sweater several times to other cleaners and without any conversation they have been able to return the sweater with pressed flowers. This cleaners did not press the flowers so I mentioned it and he says "No, can't do." and waved his hand up while walking away. Since I just paid, there wasn't much I could do. He walked to the back and I didn't see him to even have a conversation about it. Additionally, the price was about $4 more than I have typically paid. read more

After reading positive reviews, I decided to go in and get three of my work pants/trousers hem altered. The guy was friendly enough and listened to my needs. We were able to find a length despite me not bringing in the proper shoes (D'Oh!). He charged $8.00 for one of my pants however he charged $12.00 for the other two because they had an inner lining. I thought this was fine since he basically had to alter the hem of two parts per pant. He was also very accommodating with pick up time. I got them back and they fit great! Omg they burnt and ruined a dress trying to take a stain out & when I picked it up they didn't even bother to tell me that the item was damaged, I just happened to lift up the bag to look at it and that's when I realized that it was ruined!! While I am discussing with the owner if he has a policy for items that they ruin, his wife is charging my card & I realize that they even charged me for it!!!!! I couldn't believe it. First how do you not make my aware that my dress is ruined? I was just supposed to go home and notice it then?? AND you're going to charge me for it???
