I decided to have Diamond Home Services to remodel my main bathroom. This was a major decision, due to the fact that I have lived in my home for 30 years. I knew this would be a major project as well as costly. I chose Diamond because I was satisfied with the new roof that had previously been installed on my home and garage, garage gutters and windows, and new security door on my enclosed back porch. I was very pleased with the bathroom remodel. I was able to chose the materials and practically design my bathroom. I only want to recommend that when it comes to new bathtubs, make sure you check the internal design and material of the bathtub. I originally had a old cast iron bathtub which was made quite different from these new bathtubs. I know now that not all bathtubs are created equal. I would suggest everyone , try to physically sit in the tub before deciding on your choice. Also request to see samples of different materials. I was unaware of fiberglass and acrylic bathtubs. I prefer cast iron which I discovered was very expensive. Overall I was very satisfied with the modernization of my bathroom. They did my complete tear off of old roof shingles and replacement of rotten wood and then new shingles. I had a problem with water leaking before the work. My mom has used Diamond for several other projects and decided to use them again for her porch roof and gutter replacement on Rhodes in Chicago. I cannot comment on the actual project process, but I will comment on the results. My mom is 80 years old and does not see well. She has trusted Diamond because they come out and do the work. She feels comfortable with their sales teams and project managers and their prior projects have been good. I hope that the following complaints will be fixed expediently and correctly. 1.The gutters were attached to the shingles with what appears to be zip ties Instead of gutter brackets. I have never seen this in my life. I imagine that any weight on the gutters will pull the shingles off and cause roof leaking. It makes no sense, is unsightly and looks like the work of an amateur. 2. There are areas of the gutters that are not even attached to the roof. An obvious gap between the roof and gutters exist. This defeats the function of gutters. Who would put up free floating gutters and gutters attached to rubber shingles. These will fail and be hanging further off the house with the next big rainstorm. 2. An end shingle was not cut to the contours of the roof and overlaps a gutter downspout. This will cause water intrusion underneath the shingles, into the house. 3.They did not caulk an area of the north roof that attaches to the rest of the house. This is also an obvious area of water intrusion. 4. The end of the gutter that terminates into the ground drain is not covered which can cause the drain to clog from surrounding debris. I don't understand how one can possibly redo a roof to be watertight when holes are placed in the shingles to attach the gutters. The gutters are not stable because they are not attached to the wood of the house. This is basic to the function of gutters. Gutters are not cosmetic, they are functional. So is roofing. If one cannot install a roof then install gutters for the roof to drain water away from the house then they should not be in the roofing business. This is not acceptable. I can't imagine that a project manager or any licensed roofer performed this work. I am requesting that they send a licensed roofer to remedy these issues. read more

Buyer beware the salesman Brad promised discounts that he did not apply to the sale of a roof! He sold a roof to a visually impaired client ( he was aware she was visually impaired) stating discounts and rebates while outlining cost. Brad had her sign a contract that did not included any of promised discounts ! The contract did not outline the cost of any of the services and it was not legible . The salesman stated when I queried about the contract being illegible and missing discounts that he had talked about , he said he had poor handwriting . He said that the company doesn't list each service and cost on contracts . When asked about the discounts he lied and said he never mentioned any discounts. He got the order put through expeditiously. The crew arrived on time, (like early on time). Everyone wore masks and were very courteous and professional. I spoke with Manuel about my concerns. He explained everything that he was doing, the errors from the first install I had done 21 years ago by Roger's Roofing, who didn't apply the aluminum coating and how he's making corrections to how the rubber roofing material should be installed for my flat roof. He even made a small repair and sent pictures of the roof. He's a good man. The job took one day. They cleaned up all the debris. I received a follow-up call after the job was completed. I used Diamond Home Services for a bathroom remodel. They did an amazing job and could not be more pleased with the quality of work. The crew was very polite, fast and efficient. They completely gutted my bathroom and replaced plumbing, bathtub, tiles in the shower and on the floor, new vanity, mirror and toilet. We had an issue with the vanity top we had originally purchased being too big and the Diamond Home Services set us up with a company to get a custom vanity top and had it 2 days later. Truly amazing customer service. They even made me a custom ledge for the window and matched the stain to the trim and vanity. Top notch team! Then was told well i will work with you again no figures discussed and was told dont worry about it. Really. My roof is now leaking and I call them numerous time and get a different excuse about some one contacting me or coming out! Still no response! This company does not follow through! The individual who came out to provide the estimate was EXTREMELY pushy. After quoting an estimate that was outrageous in comparison, he INSISTED that I needed to make a decision, on the spot, no paperwork detailing the estimate. After hearing that I needed to speak with my dad, again he was pushy, saying several times "call him now". After a couple of times going back and forth, he stated that he knows I won't be calling back to close the deal. He commented that after getting the quote, most people don't call back. When I called the office to complain the woman repeatedly said that "we don't do written estimates." You want me to commit to a $20,000 roofing job and you can't give me a piece of paper. For at least 5 years now Diamond Home services has called me monthly to ask whether I need work done. And for years I have had no needs. Finally when I did have needs, I set an appointment with a two hour window. With 15 minutes remaining on the window and no contact from them, I called to learn the person can't make it. I rescheduled the appointment. On the reschedule, no one came. I didn't get called or contacted in any way. I called back after being abandoned twice to give them another chance and spoke with Millie who says she was the Manager. Ironic that she makes that claim because I specifically asked for a supervisor, and she said there was none on duty until "tomorrow." So I ask for a manager and, Surprise! SHE is the manager. Right. When I explain the situation to her she blames last week's Jewish holiday and a guy's car trouble. Then she "reminds" me that two years ago I was not home for an appointment set with them, as though I deserved to be blown off twice in a month. Can't say I remember that, but also can't say it isn't true. It may be. She then asks me whether I have the money to do the work now. That was enough. Either way, it was too defensive for me to want to deal with them any longer. I asked to be taken off of their call list. We'll see whether that happens. read more
