I have a recessed ceiling light in my basement and the glass cover was cracked. I brought the broken glass into National and they had a piece with a similar shade and cut it at the same size and I was in and out in minutes. unfortunately when I got home and tried to insert the new glass into the frame it cracked which was my fault. I brought the broken piece back to National to have them cut a new piece at the same size and I was planning to pay for another piece but they didn't charge me. I would have been fine paying for another piece since it was my fault but they were kind enough to cut another at no cost. very nice business! read more

I had my wife's windshield replaced on our Subaru that is two years old in November, and I noticed that they completely installed wrong,the plastic shield that holds the wipers in place is loose letting air under the windshield, they said to bring it back but we need our car!! I really just was hoping for the job to be done right the first time!! So I'm now going to have to take my car to Gardner Automotive and have them fix it during a oil change and auto inspection because my wife works nights in a hospital in Boston and depends on her car and I need it fixed by dependable people!!!! I guess next time I will call one of those companies on tv that fix windshields in your driveway!! It's too bad worcester glass doesn't do auto glass anymore because they always did a perfect job!!!! read more

I was there today and bought a 48"x35" bathroom mirror . They have a nice showroom with shower enclosures and many home mirrors that are modern , contemporary and classic designs . The staff was courteous and professional, what you would expect from a family owned business that's been in the city since 1921 . Very disappointed in National Glass, auto glass division. I called to set up an appointment, as their website states you must do for auto glass appointments. I inquired about their mobile service and was quickly told they only do replacements away from their shop. I told them that this would be a replacement, and that I'm from an area town. I was quickly told they had no service calls, in my town, at the moment and they would call ME, if and when they would be in the area. I was not even given the option of bringing my vehicle to them. After a moment of awkward silence, I said "so I guess I'll have to call somewhere else" to which I was told that's what I should do. So I did and I will not be going back anytime soon. read more

Had my car broken into last night. Brought it to National glass at 7:30 this morning and it was fixed by 9. Some glass had gotten in my seat belt buckle and it was a struggle to get it out but they stayed with it and got it done. If you need a window/door screen repaired, or a window pane or door glass replaced, these guys are the best. Prices are very reasonable, and you are serviced very promptly. I do all my glass work with National. They've been in the community forever. They also can replace auto glass, and sell fireplace screens, picture frames and framed artork. WORST SERVICE EVER. Had 2 windows get fixed by them - took 2 weeks for glass to come in. Quoted me window would rebuilt - turns out was just the glass. Then they told me 2 hours to fix. Dropped off 11am- never received any calls or updated from them. Continually had to call them- they IGNORED my calls. Finally answer at 330pm- they had not even started them - said they needed to do them overnight!!! "Silicone needs to dry overnight"- BULLSHIT. Had to put plywood in windows overnight!! Spoke with manager, said windows would be put in as "courtesy" the next morning 8 or 9am. They never did it!!! I had to call them in the afternoon. unbelievable. Stay away from this place. A total disaster. Cost me a ton of money and aggravation. read more

Very disappointed in National Glass of Worcester. I had two break ins at my business this year. Both times they smashed the glass on the front door. The first time I called Worcester Glass and they came out and fixed it for a cost of $423.50. After the second break in, called Worcester Glass again but they were booked solid for the day so I called National Glass. The guy came out and installed the glass but cracked it putting it in. He came back the next day with a new panel, but the bill from National was $613.33. Almost $200.00 more than Worcester Glass. I called the office asking if they made a mistake, and they told me that was the price. Lesson learned, I won't be using you again. read more

I just recently had my windshield replaced with National Glass. Since I have sensors attached to it I needed to bring it to the shop on Park Ave to have it done. They were very accommodating on when I could drop it off and did the work much faster than I expected. I did need a part ordered from the dealer for my mobile start, but Carmelo handled everything with the dealer and my insurance company. He was so pleasant to work with! They even found $20 under my seat. I would highly recommend them for a windshield replacement! read more
