Thank you Safelite! I had a really bad crack on my windshield, needed a fix ASAP and was wondering how I was going to be able to fix it. When I went there, the front office lady handled everything smooth, communicated directly and well with as far as handling the payment process which I was most likely concerned about. Once I told her my problem and booked the appointment with them, I took my car in for repair, waited in the office and not too long as I expected, they fixed my windshield in a matter of an hour which I was highly impressed by. And even gave me a discount for the repair which was amazing, too. Shout out Kyle and the whole team for having my windshield repaired quickly and effienciently, as far as giving my windshield a quick wash and my interior smelling like a brand new car. If I could give a 0 star, I would. I don't usually do reviews, but this time is worth it to continue wasting more of my time. I live in MA and Safelite is affiliated with my insurance company. They were to perform an onsite service for my car while at work, which Ive done several times over the years. There automated system sends out reminder texts and emails and asks you to confirm, at least 2x, confirming the time and date. Right in the middle of the arrival window I get a text Confirming My Appointment Has Changed! Like it's something to be excited about. Supposedly all the windshields in the technician's vehicle got broken that day. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and allowed them to reschedule a week later. Same thing, 2x or so confirmations prior to the arrival, and right in the middle of the window get another exciting reschedule confirmation. I called to speak to 2 different reps that hung up on me, one stating they were booked for the day, somehow that's my fault, and the other they put in the system to report to the insurance company that the window they ordered was damaged- likely to hide the scheduling conflict that is the real issue. Had I read other reviews prior to this, I would not have even tried. The customer is supposed to trust something that is to keep you safe, and they can't even get out of their own way? I dont think so...... read more

I would NOT recommend safelite to anyone. I originally made an appointment online for my F250 to be done at my house. The day before the appointment they called saying F series trucks need to be done at one of their locations. Naturally they didn't have the day available I already made an appointment for. The next Tuesday came and after waiting for an hour and a half at the Worcester location they came out and told me while installing the glass they had stress cracked it and I would need to come back. After getting the truck home I noticed there was damage to the cowl, glass still in the vehicle, and my antenna wasn't re-installed. I spent hours on the phone trying to get ahold of someone from safelite. Finally I was able to talk to someone about a possible discount. They informed me that the branch was the only one who could apply a discount after the branch themselves told me I had to call corporate for a discount. I brought the truck back for a THIRD time on a Saturday morning a week and a half later. After checking in they came out to inform me my glass didn't actually get ordered or delivered and was at their warehouse in Woburn. They said they could go and get it but it would take most of the day to be done and I had plans so I could not wait or pick the truck up later. Once again I spent hours on the phone with corporate. Finally someone said they would get me in contact with a regional manager. She sent them an email to contact me and surprise surprise I never heard anything. Today was my FOURTH time taking time out of my day to bring the truck back. After telling them I wanted to talk to a manager before anything was done with the truck they were able to take two hundred dollars off the glass. This was all they could give me after me taking eight hours total out of my life to get the windshield replaced, damaging the cowl, leaving glass in my truck, and not replacing the antenna. CHEAPER IS DEFINITELY NOT BETTER. read more

Had to bring my car in twice in order to get an OEM windshield and they still couldn't get the windshield safety electronics to function so had to bring it to a dealership to complete the job. Calling Safelite it's impossible to get to a human to help, poor service and horrible company! read more

I needed my windshield replaced. I made an appointment for today at 3pm. They said it would take a couple hours so best to drop it off. I dropped my car off at 10am. At 3:15pm I received a text message saying my appointment has been rescheduled. I called customer service. They could not reach the shop or tell me why I received the text message and no call. They gave me the number to the shop directly and no one has answered and no one has called. Completely unacceptable. read more

Had a crack the size of a dime in my windshield. Agent quadrupled crack into fracture and said I needed a replacement. Replacement was completed and no deductible was requested. Two days later the manager calls and leaves a voicemail demanding I pay the deductible in a day or else it will be sent to collections and will triple. I was never not planning on paying a deductible had I known but the customer service was shoddy at best and they just wanted to get me out and get my money it seemed as the glass dust and shavings from my cars interior were left on my dash. read more

Southbridge Street Worcester Shop - Last 3 appointments for a variety of vehicles in my fleet have been either canceled or the shops don't have the glass or the drivers show up with wrong glass DESPITE VIN numbers being accurate. Seems like they do not thoroughly read through the on-line requested appointment details because they show up with windshields when I need back glass, or they show up with side glass when I need a windshield replaced. They always say the will follow up with a rescheduled apppintment and they never do. Horrible service as of late!!! read more

I was never told aftermarket windshield would be used. There was no tint at the top like the original. I called Customer Care and was told the replacement should have been what was originally installed. New appt was scheduled. I get to the appt and was tols the same glass was ordered. I explained about the tint . I was then told they would call the insunace company, order the OEM windshield with tint, then call me for an appt. Also told I would probably have to pay the difference. No problem. 4 days go by, no call so I call them. Nothing was done. They will look into and call back. In the end i was told they cannot get the tinted glass. even if I pay for it. They have know idea how I can get this corrected. Alo, I called the Customer care line again and after going through the prompts, I hear 'we cannot take your call right now" and that was it....SERIOUSLY!! 2 weeks wasted! read more

My insurance company referred me to them. They showed up and it was a contactless experience but they were blasting music so loud that I could hear it inside my home and their van was out on the street. I live in a quiet neighborhood and was embarrassed to have them working at my house. Also the moulding was messed up and a trim mount post was broken off. They also left scuffs and scratches in my paint and little bits of glass on my truck. I will never use Safelite again. read more

I had a small crack in my windshield. I scheduled a mobile appointment the technician showed up sat in his truck after getting my insurance information and other required paperwork. He called me and said it's going to rain for the few hours (there was a small chance of rain that day) so he said I could either reschedule or go to the office to get the windshield replaced. Nothing good to write about. First appointment all the parts never showed up. Then rescheduled to a mobile appointment. Tech noticed a scratch in the window and don't replace it. Made another appointment. The next tech showed up and installed a scratched windshield. Since that scratched windshield was installed have made 5 more appointments and all windshields have been scratched from either the factory or shipping. Also have had 3 appointments cancelled and rescheduled. Wouldn't recommend to anybody since their products come damaged. It's been over a month and I still have a scratched windshield. read more

It is such poor service that you don't notify your customers ahead of time that it will take 3 HOURS. Nowhere on any of your websites does it say 3 hours. It clearly says this "How long will my auto glass repair or replacement take? In many cases, windshield repairs can be performed in 30 minutes or less. Windshield replacements will often take 60 minutes or less; however, we recommend that you do not drive the vehicle for at least one hour after service is completed." Nobody I talk to says they have heard of it taking 3 hours. Please stop wasting peoples time and give them a heads up about the LONG wait time!!! It really stinks that you cannot contact Safelite directly. Horrible company! read more

If I could give a negative 5 I would. Not just for this location, but for the company as a whole. November 10th. Made appointment online through safelite.com. Appointment was made for the morning of November 16th. Received both text and e-mail confirmation about appointment. November 15th. Received text message reminder of my appointment on the 16th. November 16th. Arrived for my schedule appointment approximately 8 am at safelite in Worcester, MA. After speaking to the personnel at the counter, they informed me that they have not received my windshield in from the dealer. They did not know when it would arrive. Stated they would contact me when they get it in. At approximately 8:30 called safelite customer service to voice my displeasure on how my appointment has been handled. Told them I should have been informed as soon as they knew they would not have my windshield in time for my appointment. Also asked them why the system does not have capability to track your windshield and/or immediately notify all parties involved when a delay occurs. I had to take a day off of work for this appointment and since they didn't have the windshield, it was a wasted day off. I will now have to take an additional day off for the next appointment. They stated it was entered in the save notes and everyone involved will have visibility. About 9:00 AM, Brian called and left a voicemail for me to call back when I have a chance regarding my service appointment. I was unavailable to answer or return the call until approximately 4:30. When I called back, Brian had left for the day and they said they would take a message and have him call me back Monday. November 19th approximately 11:00 AM received another call from the shop to re-schedule. Scheduled for the 11:00 AM, Saturday, November 24th. Friday, November 23rd, approximately 9:30 AM. I stopped by the shop to confirm they had everything they needed for my appointment the following day. They stated they ordered three different windshields just to make sure they got the correct one. Saturday, November 24th, approximately 10:45 AM. Arrived at the shop only for them to tell me they do not have the correct windshield for my car. He gave me his card and told me to call him if I do not hear back by Monday. I stated I will be traveling all next week for work so I am. It sure when I would possibly re-schedule for if it comes in soon. 7:03 PM. Received a text and email stating my appointment had been updated to Monday, November 26th at 3:00 PM. No phone call was ever received from the shop nor did anyone contact me asking if this day and time was ok and/or convenient for me. 7:30 PM. Rescheduled appointment through website to Friday, November 30th at 7:30 AM. November 30th at 7:30 A.M. Arrived at the shop and windshield was replaced in a timely manner. However upon checkout, once I was done paying the cashier was not even going to give me a receipt. I had to ask for one. Also, I had observed two other customers get finished with their windshield replacement. Both times the technician had reviewed the work that was done with the customer and the special precautions they needed to take with the new windshield. Do you think they did this with me? No they did not. They did not even give me any kind of warranty packet or information that they gave the customers before me. December 1st. EzPass transponder fell off windshield due to them re-using the same Velcro that was on the old windshield. read more

I finally had the chance to go to Safelite in Worcester who worked with my budget to replace the glass. Thank you Safelite...! I had a broken rear windshield on my company vehicle, and Doge C/V Tradesman van. I brought it to the Worcester location, and Steve sealed the back hole with plastic to keep the elements out. My work takes me all over New England, and a majority of my work is in the Boston area. I could not leave the van parked in a public place with the plastic on it, for fear that it would get broken into. I keep a lot of tools and parts in the van. The soonest appointment they had during business hours was over a week away. Steve said if I left it with him for the weekend, he would work on it in-between other appointments. I dropped it off Saturday morning, and the van was all fixed first thing Monday morning. Thank you Steve and all the staff at Safelite Worcester for accommodating me, and having me back on the road with very little down time. I could not have asked for better service. I have used this location 5 times over the last 6 years... twice for my personal vehicle and 3 times for a work related vehicle. All the work has been excellent, on time, and done right. Cheers....! I even called the day of, which customer rep confirmed and confirmed my phone #. I waited the time block (which I had planned my day around, already an inconvenience) and NO SHOW, NO CALL, NO TXT, NO EMAIL, absolutely NOTHING, they just decide not to bother! I followed up with a call to manager which was full of excuses and I had to wait days for another appt which I again confirmed for the blocked time slot and yet again NO ONE SHOWED, CALLED, TEXT OR EMAILED it took me then calling the manager again and they sent someone out later that day. SMH I strongly dislike unprofessional, insensitive, poor service and they definitely will not get my business again. HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND! read more

They are the administrators of the glass claims for my insurance company, so it worked out great for me. One phone call to put the claim in and make an appointment to get it repaired. They did a great job completing the work in just over an hour. They vacuumed the front of my car and reattached all of my stickers and Fast Lane transponder. My only complaint, and reason why they didn't get five stars, was the waiting room. Besides the fact that there was no public bathroom, it was a disaster area. There was a pile of magazines and weeks of newspapers piled on a table in the corner. I was afraid little Ms B was going to knock into it and get lost under the rubble. read more

I would give NO star if it's possible. I put my appointment on 20 March for their mobile service. At around 4 pm that day, their technician called me saying that he has to reschedule my appointment because he thought I was in a different location. I was like... hum... but since this is my only choice I changed my appointment to next Monday ( that's today). This morning, Safelite called... they have to reschedule my appointment AGAIN!!! I don't understand how this could be a complicated situation for me. I only request a replacement. If I have been allowed to schedule an appointment, they should be able to do it! Horrible service. This is my second time using them. I thought the first bad experience was a fluke. The first time I need a new windshield on my Mercedes Sprinter. They came to my house and replaced the windshield with the wrong one and didn't say anything. I noticed there was no heater wire in the glass. Also they scratched both sides of my van and dented the fenders on both sides. So I took the day off to wait for them for no reason. I called them and then they scheduled another day (which I had to take off of work again) to put the correct windshield in. The second time I needed a replacement I figured I would go right to the shop. They replaced it quickly in about an hour. They did a horrible job. The first rain storm it leaked like a river. So I have to now go back AGAIN for them to fix it. In the meantime I noticed they cut the antenna wire to my satellite radio. Ugh. I need to bill them for all the time I have to take off because they have no clue what they are doing. I am also going to tell them they need to pay for a new satellite antenna cable. I will not be using this company anymore. read more

I love these guys! Over the past few years, they've replaced my windshield twice and door window once. Every time, they show up in my company's parking lot the day after I call. I highly recommend taking photos of your car before any work begins. I recently had my windshield replaced and during the process they significantly scratched the paint off the frame around the windshield. I will preface this complaint with the knowledge that there is currently a recall on my particular paint due to flaking and ultimately that is likely the cause of the paint to flake off, however it's the highly unprofessional responses and handling of the situation that infuriates me. At the time of the replacement, there was no indication of any flaking paint. The installer came and left and never mentioned anything to me about the paint coming off. I noticed the scratches hours later so I took pictures and submitted them for a claim. Safelite sent someone out to review and take pictures of the damage a few days later. Shortly thereafter I received a call from the Worcester manager Allen telling me that he reviewed the timestamped photos and that the damage was there before the work started. I argued that there was no possible way it was like that before so he emailed me some pictures. When I looked at the pictures I knew that they were the ones taken that morning because the car was parked in a totally different location (so much for the time stamp). I responded that the photos were taken that day and he claimed to have mistakenly attached the wrong ones and would send over the correct ones. I did receive another photo that I was told was taken "previously to the install." I could tell it was taken on the day of the install but it was clearly cropped and was oddly close to the damage. I took a closer look at the picture and realized that there was no windshield in the picture, which I'm sure is why it was cropped so close. The photo was taken after the old windshield was removed but "previously to the install" of the new one. I couldn't believe how manipulative and deceptive Allen was being! I called him out on this deception and his only response was that it's a known issue with the paint and to deal with Toyota since "there is no damage due to the install." If he had just been up front with me and acknowledged that the paint flaked off during the removal process due to a known issue with the paint I wouldn't have had any problem. Instead he lied and tried to deceive me to remove any fault from Safelite. I'm disgusted with how I was treated and I will NEVER use Safelite again. read more

I've been trying to get a replacement window for my car for the past month and have been shut down over 5 times. Every time I've called in order to schedule a date to replace my window, it was always a no show or "I can't make it today". The excuses started to become even more ridiculous after using the excuse that he was unable to replace my window because of the rain. We gave him one last shot and promised us that he would be replacing my window right at my home. We made all the necessary planning for him to show up and never did. Whatever you do never do business with this man. Very unprofessional and mediocre when you have to force someone to do their job and to give them business. You're better off learning how to replace car windows on your own. read more

A few items that concern me, these are just the ones that I am aware of, what about things that customers don't see or know. If the small details aren't accurate how do we know the job was done correct? -- Online receipt says tech name was Kevin, -- Paper envelope receipt says Brian Trottier -- Online says car was vacuumed, this isn't a true statement. -- I noted to the tech that I was picky about placement of stickers and fast pass. -- Fast pass was directly behind rearview mirror on old windshield so its wasn't seen from drivers seat. It was placed back into this place, its directly in view of the driver. Just not how I like it, I know its a small thing but details are big to me. -- Inspection sticker is now a few inches up from the bottom, again blocking the view if needed. I guess I get to wait to next Nov to get that issue resolved or pay $29 for a new inspection. These are all small items to me but I am very detailed oriented. If I did my job like this I would not be there for very long. -Joe read more
