Instead, it was one of the most stressful and irritating experiences I've had in a long time. I had the most unrestful sleep imaginable. The guests in the room above us were constantly stomping and blasting their TV. I called the front desk to ask them to intervene, but absolutely nothing was done about it. The issues started before I even arrived. Two days prior, I called to confirm my booking and was told everything was set. When I called again right before arrival, I was suddenly told my booking didn't exist. Though they eventually found it, it left me incredibly uneasy. When I finally arrived--exhausted and desperate to lie down--it took nearly 25 minutes of total confusion. The two older ladies at the front desk explicitly stated they didn't know how to check me in, leaving us just standing there. Also, the second floor hallway had a pungent, powerful marijuana odor permeating from outside of the rooms. To make matters worse, breakfast both mornings was barely lukewarm. The entire dining area was completely disorganized, and the staff seemed utterly confused about what they were supposed to be doing. From the messy administrative errors to the lack of basic noise control and cold food, the customer service here is entirely lacking. If you are looking for a peaceful, restful stay, look elsewhere. I stayed here for one night after a day at the Glen Ivy Spa and the rejuvenated energy I found from my time at the Glen Ivy was promptly gutted by a traveling soccer team comprised of preteens and their unhinged parents/chaperones as well as the lackluster performance of the nighttime employee(s)? of this weird space. When we arrived around 4:00 that day we noticed large groups of preteen athletes but did not realize the havoc they would wreak late into the night but it became quite clear after we returned from dinner that the intention of this group was to act as if they had rented the ENTIRE property and therefore run through its halls with a fierce to determination to be as loud, crude and sexually explicit as possible. Which with them being preteens is understandable that they would engage in this behavior with each other. However what is MONSTROUSLY perplexing is that the adults that brought them to this hotel decided that it was their SACRED time to enjoy the lobby of a mid range hotel to watch the World Cup (how dare you sully that treasure with your turdish behavior) with wild abandonment of their RESPONSIBILITY to CHAPERONE/PARENT minors. White claws are relaxing guys but are they time machines that transported you to a time before common sense? YET in the midst of all this we called the front desk to just try and get some extra sheets to make up the questionably stained folding futon sofa contraption and the phone was OFF THE HOOK. Which never was replaced considering a guest in my party tried to call down at 11:00 that night to ask them to address the non permitted hormonal festival happening in the hallway so we could try to sleep so we would be able to wake up as early as possible to leave. Since there was no answer she went down to the lobby, and saw the pack of adults still delighting in their willful ignorance. She asked if any of them were responsible for the group to which their amnesia swiftly kicked in. She then addressed the now two night clerks at the front desk who said their was nothing they could do, and when she asked about police assistance for the repeated noise violations they replied - "The cops won't come here" HAH! Understandable. Overhearing my friend talk to the night staff a FULL GROWN MAN CHILD from the soccer social had to be held back by his goober gang to keep from getting physical with my five foot female partner in this adventure of customer service what not to do antics. As she boarded the elevator sad excuses for women mocked her as if they had won the empire of Rome like a squad of Temu Helen of Troys. Gals, if you are reading this, it was just a few tables near the breakfast buffet equipment. The lack of accountability and ability to problem solve on behalf of this staff was grossly disappointing which to me indicates that they are very use to this type of behavior and are a hub for traveling teams. So, if this seems like the night for you because you're looking for a lack of sleep and to possibly get into a fight with a group of millennials that didn't understand the real meaning behind Fight Club, five stars. However, that was not my intention but I can't rate it any lower than one, so star for the story. It is not a safe environment nor does it fulfill its PRIMARY function of maintaining an environment where its guests can sleep. Oh, the room layouts were weird and the cleanliness was mid. The hotel was clean, it felt newer, the rooms are suites so you get a kitchen, living room and bedroom areas for what seemed like a reasonable price. We stayed two nights. Breakfast is served each morning and there were different options each day. I have to do a big shout out to the front desk clerk, Dennis. He was so friendly, helpful and really seemed like he went out of his way to make us feel welcome, answer questions and help with whatever we needed. You don't find that too often these days. He is a real asset to this hotel. We had a nice time while staying here. The hotel is right next door to a big outdoor mall. There were lots of shops and restaurants nearby and some a short drive from there. My only complaint was that the website showed photos of a beautiful firepit. We were looking forward to sitting outside and enjoying this and while we were there a lady working there couldn't get it to turn on. Another worker tried too, they couldn't get it to turn on. It wasn't working the second evening either. When I asked a different worker if it was finally working, that person said "On yeah that thing never seems to work. I thought to myself....... Well maybe they should hire someone to repair it since it's one of the main photos in their ad that draws you in on how nice this place is, but I didn't say anything. I do think if a hotel has something nice like this, they should be maintaining the property and have it working on a regular basis. Aside from that I recommend this hotel as a very nice place to stay.

Room was clean and able to fit 4 people no problem, with the fold out bed. Kitchen area had a coffee machine, tea was available too. Utensils and cookware were available and clean, along with dishes and cups. The pool area is clean and stocked with towels, same with the 24hr gym.

I was hoping to refill my water bottle but there's a sign that says to not do that but rather use the plastic cups to the side if you want water. There are 3 floors but ONLY 1 elevator and it's slow. Faster to walk the stairs though its located on either end of each floor. Imagine the hotel busy and waiting for the elevator. Eeek. The hallway and stairways are clean. Our room with 2 Queen size beds is a decent size though a little narrow eith limited walk space. There is a long bench to put your luggage(s) on or for you to sit on. The back wall where the bench is there are square hooks to hang your purse or clothing items. There is a small dresser part of the desk and a small closet/armoire with somw hangers, iron and an iron board. There are many dimmed lights options within the room. There are switches under the TV, by the bed stand, and 1 by the closetn but I like the table light (3 settings) better to act as night light as its dimmer and doesnt brighten up the room. The bathroom is very spacious. The tub has a grip mat to prevent falling and there are complimentary Dove brand hair care and hand wash & lotion. The water pressure is strong and the hot water is hot! What I like is that there is a bathroom fan that is strong enough to suck away the moist after a shower. It's loud but it does its function. Most hotel rooms don't even have the fan. The bed is good, not great. Not soft but not firm. The pillows though are very fluffy. I like that the linens are clean and pretty white as I did not see any stains. Complimentary breakfast is good though I wish they had bacon on the weekends as they only had it on Friday. The rest of the weekend was turkey or pork sausages instead. There's a variety of hot breakfast (scrambled eggs, cheese egg Omelette, bacon, sausages, biscuit and gravy) options with bread, english muffins, muffins and including a pancake machine. They also have a small fridge with Oikos yogurt (strawberry/ blueberr/vanilla flavors), organic valley milk )regular/chocolate milk), and SILK brand milk with a juice machine. A coffee station is available all day including a basket of fruits (apples/bananas/oranges) on the table for you to grab. The eating area is small though I didn't experience any issues with getting a table during my 4 days/3 nights there. Service at the front desk is good though my interaction was to request a pool towel only. My husband managed the check in and check out but he didnt complain so I guess all is good. The gated outdoor swimming pool & hot tub area is small with a few lounge chairs and 2 tables. But good enough for little kids to enjoy during their stay. The hallways and common areas are always clean and tidy. We had several of our presenters leaving on super early flights and wouldn't be able to get breakfast. They gave them breakfast bags to go. Nothing fancy--basically some of the portable food from the breakfast, but that small effort went a long way towards making our presenters happy which made us--the organizers--happy too. The location is right off the 91 so it's centrally located to wherever you're going in Riverside. The two places for improvement would be (1) for them to have more non-pork options for breakfast (turkey bacon at least) and (2) addressing some of the rooms which showed notable signs of age and wear--particularly the bathrooms (sink, shower). I would take off half a star but yelp only allows whole stars. So it's either a 4 or 5. Quite frankly, I think the customer service a hospitality outweighs a few cosmetic issues in the vanity. So 5 stars it is! Besides, they appeared to be renovating several of the rooms so I trust they will have them all done by the next time we come. Extremely poor maintenance, cleanliness, and security…read more Our stay was highly disappointing due to severe issues with hygiene, service, and safety: Cleanliness: The room had a noticeable odor, and the bathroom had visible mold on the walls. Cockroaches were also present on the outdoor patio area. Lack of Service: When our toilet clogged, staff simply handed us a plunger to fix it ourselves. Later, when requesting fresh bedding, we were given a set of sheets to change ourselves; the replacement linens were stained and had visible cigarette burns. No Security or Regulation: The property feels completely unsecured. The free breakfast area and the pool were constantly overrun by non-guests from the local area, creating an overcrowded, loud environment with unchecked alcohol consumption. Lobby Standards: General management oversight is missing. We even witnessed a guest using a public standing shelf in the main lobby to change a baby's diaper with no intervention from the staff.Management needs to urgently address these basic sanitation and security standards.
