I called the Marietta, GA store to order a rebuild kit for my Garrett Turbo and was told i needed…read moreto talk to Devon, which I did. It was around 4 pm on a Friday and he told me that he would get back to me on Monday because he would have to do some research. On Tuesday afternoon I called him and he never came to the phone. Finally, Stanley picked up and proceeded to tell about all of the pitfalls of rebuilding your own turbo and convinced me that it would be the more logical solution to replace the turbo with a new one so it was ordered and I was told that he would call me when it came in on Wednesday...on Thursday I called and was told that it was in. In the background I could hear Stanley say I left him message. Which was a lie, I have had the same number since 1993 and no voice mail was left from him. Anyway I picked up the Turbo (80 mile round trip) and talked to a real nice tech named Wes and we talked several minutes and he gave some advice regarding mounting and pre-oiling the turbo. After installation I cleared all the codes and gave my truck a test drive and it ran great except I did not have the power under a load that I had before the trouble started. No codes returned. So I called back the next Monday (Stanley answered the phone) and asked if I could talk to Wes to see if he could point me in a direction to solve the low power under load situation. Stanley said the he don't let mechanics talk on the phone that they need to be in the shop earning money. I identified myself and Stanley basically told me that all I did was easy stuff and that it was probably the pump, injectors or low compression...and that I was not a professional and a pro needed to look at the truck. He told me that he would drive it the way it is. So service after the sale is pretty much nonexistent...granted I am not a Ford mechanic, but I have worked in the automotive service industry and feel I am reasonably competent. As helpful as Wes was, Stanley's message was loud and clear "I sold you the part...leave us alone." I will not use them again and everyone I know will hear about the crappy treatment after the sale. Nobody was willing to touch it... until I met Roger at Turbo Diesel. Roger was referred to me by Chris at American Towing in Roswell. Roger, Robby, and the rest of the staff at Turbo Diesel are incredible! They are not only knowledgeable, but inquisitive (one of the best qualities a mechanic can have). I recommend them to ANYONE with a diesel vehicle. Fleets, individuals, whatever. They are the best!

The oil plug fell out of my car while I was driving, and my engine needed to be rebuilt due to the…read moredamage that it sustained. Tim was the worst mechanic that I have ever worked with. He originally told me that it would take about a week and cost me around $2,500, and he ended up having my car for 5-6 weeks and charging me $3,800. I'm not blaming him for the increased cost and extra time, because I understand how those things go. However, when I started questioning some of his extra charges, like $800 for a machine shop that he allegedly had to take parts to, he refused to show me a receipt (which he is legally not obligated to do), and then got very defensive and started bullying me. I never said I wouldn't pay him, but he told me that I had to pay in either cash or a money order because he didn't trust that my check wouldn't bounce, even though I had already paid him over $2,000 in checks that cleared without a problem. He threatened to sue me several times and called me an immature child, all because I wanted to see a receipt for the machine shop. Before we started having our disagreements, Tim kept telling me how he appreciated my trust, and I now believe that he appreciated it so much because he saw it as an opportunity to take advantage of me. He even went so far as to ask me what my credit score was, and then propositioned me to co-sign a business loan with him. I thought that was extremely unprofessional. Personal problems aside, my car ran perfectly before Tim did work on it. Since I got it back, I have had problems with the transmission skipping, as well as with the electrical system. When I informed him of the transmission problem, he was defensive again and claimed that it had nothing to do with the work he did. I would never let Tim work on my car again, and I would advise everyone I know to avoid utilizing his services as well. I will probably have to pay another mechanic over $1,000 to finish repairing my car and to correct the damage that Tim did. I'm very disappointed with this business and mechanic.
