I read some of the other reviews where some said Allen was loud and came off as being rude, Allen is a louder speaker probably because his hearing is messed up, this man is a aging Vietnam Veteran, yes he speaks loud but rude he was not. I did not lease a spot from this business, solely because I feel the drive is too far from my residence, and who wants to deal with the traffic on the east side. When I explained I was not ready to make andecision, she ended the conversation with, "take your time and call around and hopefully we will be the last place you call." I called several other companies in the area and none of them took the time to actually talk to me like the representative at Compass, the only thing they kept doing was sending me emails and calling me to try to strong arm me into using them. I ended up going in to Compass and signing a contract as well as renting a U-Haul truck. They worked with me and made suggestions on size of unit as well as size of truck. I am so grateful for their suggestions because they were spot on. I got the right size unit as well as perfect size of truck. December 23, 2023 I received a letter dated December 5, 2023 from Public Storage to vacate the…read morepremises by December 31, 2023 for renovation. I was on travel for work since Thanksgiving and did not have access to my mail until my return on December 23. Beside that point what took so long to notify me? You knew renovations were going to be made way in advance because of the time it takes to budget the money and enter into a contract but you choose to notify me with only 26 days to left? When I checked I my unit I found it RAT infested!!! Why didn't they notify me months before that? The time it took to remove sanitize and relocate that which was salvageable cost me more than the $250.00 that I am supposed to receive for the insurance that I paid for every month. Public Storage did not notify me until the last minute so that they can continue collecting the $400.00 plus that I pay monthly for rent. They are a disgrace, it's not about what is doing right for the customer but more about the money they can make while their customers were losing their property to destruction for every day that went by. The US Commerce Department should investigate them and SHUT THEM DOWN!
