Located in the Capitol Hill area of DC, this cute studio is on the Lower Level Pennsylvania Ave building. It can be a lite tricky to access and Christina provides thorough information with pictures to enter her studio. The studio is decorated with white/gold accents and displays the niche products she uses for her services. Services: -Brow Lamination/Sculpt/Tint: this was my first time getting my eyebrows laminated, sculpted, and tinted. I was a little nervous about my appointment and Christina made my experience comfortable. For any new clients you have to fill out paperwork and then there is a quick consult where Christina asks for your preference and expectations. Then you walk into the studio room where you lay on the spa table. The pillows for my head and legs were so comfortable I wanted to fall asleep lol Christina first cleaned my brows and then mapped my brow shape from my facial structure and alignment. Christina meticulously maps out my brow shape with her ruler and sketches this out. She explained the reasons for how she shaped my brows and provides a mirror for me to confirm the shape. After she cleaned up my brows and processed/structured my brows the last step was tinting my brows. Christina gave me an ombré tint to match my hair color. I loved the look of my brows and the knowledge Christina shared with me during our sessions! She's so personable and detail oriented that made me feel so comfortable to explore more sessions like her facials the next time. The experience difference between the two locations is night and day. This location is glorified spa night you could do at home, there's a ton of downtime where you're just sitting under a light or with a mask. At the other location in VA, they're actively working a lot of the time frame you're with them- more massage, lymphatic drainage, more gentle and thorough extractions. If you don't do an add on or buy a product they genuinely treat you worse or act really annoyed- even though you're already spending over $120 on monthly service. I cannot recommend this location compared to the service and experience you receive at another location of the same chain.

She did a great job on the bleaching and it's not damaged at all. The main gripe I have is that the dye she put on top washed out after one wash with purple shampoo, something that had never happened to me before when I had gotten my hair balayaged elsewhere in the past (nor when I'd gotten it toned every two months). She'd recommended using overtone conditioner--unfortunately, the silver overtone conditioner did nothing except give my hair a green twinge (looks a lot like hay currently.) When I panicked and told Doan about this she was kind and offered me useful advice--clarifying shampoo, which I hadn't thought about--and relayed the brand of dye she used so I wouldn't have an alternative salon use it on me in the future. Sadly, only two weeks after getting my hair done I'm going to have to go somewhere else to get it fixed, hence the three stars. :(
