For a tribal city that bases their economy on tourism. They sure treat their tourists like crap. EVERY employee I encountered was rude and it was obvious inconvenience to want to buy food and coffee from this shop. Super not dog friendly even though there's outside seating.

We spent two days on the Makah res exploring and Native Grounds was our go-to in the mornings and afternoons! The staff were so sweet and gave amazing recs, everything we had was excellent. Adorable Halloween decor, too!

Drove out to Cape Flattery and stumbled upon this cafe. The food and drinks were really good! The staff were extremely friendly and made our visit memorable. Highly recommended stopping by if you are in the area. They even have a few tables on the patio that have great views of the bay!

Quad Breve Latte. They did a perfect job.

Great Quad Breve Latte. I was able to buy the Cape Flattery park permit that is needed to visit.

My husband enjoying a trinket while we waited for our made from scratch breakfast.

My husband and I just returned home from our 6 day trip to the Pacific Northwest. We spent one night in Neah Bay and thoroughly enjoyed our chai tea latte, coffee, breakfast tacos and breakfast bowl-it was made from scratch, big portion and absolutely delicious! We love the clean and fun atmosphere, it felt very homey and like a local spot. The games, trinkets and views were a nice touch to the already fantastic establishment! Also what a clever name, loved the play on works to honor the Natives!

Great coffee and friendly staff. Home made scratch kitchen makes the best breakfast in town.

The kids love the milkshakes and Italian sodas. I'm a latte fan, as is my wife though she'll deviate on her typical order time to time. We all enjoyed our drinks and make this place our little stop in town, whether cruising through or grabbing camping provisions. The service is always friendly. It's a bit of a gravel truck stop coffee stand type feel pulling up, but the stand itself is nice enough. There's two windows, one on each side, servicing. Their service is a little slow because it's usually 1-2 people working max from what we've experienced, but we bake that into our expectations. We have not tried any food items here - just haven't had a good opportunity yet.

It's always a risk trying someplace new for coffee cause you never quite know if it's gonna be bland or overly sweet. After reading reviews I got specific to avoid disappointment and I ordered an almond Roca with a double shot and not too sweet and it came out decent. The lavender latte the next day wasn't as impressive but drinkable. Be specific how you like your coffee is my advice- I should have added extra hot bc it was pretty lukewarm. . My husband enjoyed his hot chocolate and I really liked their oatmeal cup. I don't recommend the pastries if you're picky because they're just pre-packaged sweets.

We originally planned to hike Cape Flattery, but thick coastal fog had other ideas. Looking for a place to grab lunch, we found this small, unassuming restaurant in Neah Bay--and we're so glad we did. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with genuine hospitality. We even had the pleasure of meeting Pat herself, and she made us feel like longtime friends. That welcoming atmosphere made the experience just as memorable as the food. We ordered the famous Indian taco, served on fresh homemade fry bread, and it absolutely lived up to its reputation. The fry bread was warm, perfectly crisp on the outside, soft on the inside, and piled high with delicious toppings. We couldn't leave without trying the sweet fry bread dessert, and it was incredible. Warm, lightly crisp, and topped with cinnamon and sugar, it was the perfect ending to an outstanding meal. Pat's Place is cash only, so be sure to plan ahead, but don't let that stop you from visiting. If you're exploring Cape Flattery, Neah Bay, or anywhere on the Olympic Peninsula, this restaurant is absolutely worth the short detour. Great food, wonderful people, generous portions, and authentic local hospitality made this one of our favorite dining experiences of the trip. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in the area, and we highly recommend stopping in--you'll leave with a full stomach and a smile. Check out our video on our socials @reessroots
