Pat's Place was one of those unexpected discoveries that ended up becoming one of the highlights of our Olympic Peninsula road trip. We originally planned to hike Cape Flattery, but thick coastal fog had other ideas. Looking for a place to grab lunch, we found this small, unassuming restaurant in Neah Bay--and we're so glad we did. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with genuine hospitality. We even had the pleasure of meeting Pat herself, and she made us feel like longtime friends. That welcoming atmosphere made the experience just as memorable as the food. We ordered the famous Indian taco, served on fresh homemade fry bread, and it absolutely lived up to its reputation. The fry bread was warm, perfectly crisp on the outside, soft on the inside, and piled high with delicious toppings. We couldn't leave without trying the sweet fry bread dessert, and it was incredible. Warm, lightly crisp, and topped with cinnamon and sugar, it was the perfect ending to an outstanding meal. Pat's Place is cash only, so be sure to plan ahead, but don't let that stop you from visiting. If you're exploring Cape Flattery, Neah Bay, or anywhere on the Olympic Peninsula, this restaurant is absolutely worth the short detour. Great food, wonderful people, generous portions, and authentic local hospitality made this one of our favorite dining experiences of the trip. Delicious fry bread tacos near the espresso coffee shop with great views! This fry bread and taco are the most flavorful that I've ever had. You will see sign's for Pat's place before you get there. It's in a little business center next to the marina. No bathrooms, outdoor eating only, no tables inside, but great food. read more

Pat's Place was a wonderful stop while we visited Cape Flattery and Neah Bay! The restaurant specializes in Indian Tacos and pie. The Indian Tacos are amazing! The fry bread that lies below the meat and other toppings is simply perfection on how it is made. It's probably the best fry bread I've had to date with the notion that I haven't had a lot of it though. The pie was fantastic also! There were a few different options but we got the Coconut Cream Pie and that was a delicious finish to a very good meal! Pat's Place doesn't have restrooms so you will need to make plans around that and they only accept cash payments as many, if not all the businesses on the Macah Reservation tends to do. There are ATM's around town if you need to get cash and if you plan on sightseeing or hanging out in town you will need a recreation permit which many of the businesses sell. read more

RUDEST PERSON GOT FOOD POISONING. I stopped by here because it was listed dog friendly on a Google Search and Yelp. When I walked in an older lady yelled saw my dog outside and started yelling at me no dogs allowed. Then said it's tribal law. Dogs are not allowed near food. Despite the drama. I ordered some food. For takeout. She didn't wrap the food in foil as promised and no silverware. I asked for a box and was told "those are for special orders". Later I became ill after eating the tacos. Which was low grade hamburger mixed with salsa likely from a jar, and cheese. RUDEST PERSON AND GOT FOOD POISONING. AVOID GOING HERE. read more

We loved stumbling in to Pat's Place! While driving into Neah Bay, we barely noticed road signs: Pat's Place-- Pies, Pat's Place--Indian Tacos, Pat's place --FRY BREAD!! That's all we needed to see because we are big fans of Native Peoples' fry bread. Not only was it delicious, it was the best we've ever had! We stopped for fry bread on the way to Cape Flattery. Pat was at the counter and she took our order and then got our recreation pass for us and made lots of great recommendations. She told us to wait outside and they would bring our food to us. We waited and waited. Turned out they ran out of some supplies and her husband (the chef) had to make a grocery run. It was a bummer to have to wait so long but...that fry bread and jam. SO GOOD!! We will absolutely go back next time we are in the area. I just wouldn't recommend stopping if you're on a tight schedule. read more

The lady was rude at first but when you buy something she was really nice in a flip of a second. The food was great. We ordered supreme taco, and it was huge and delicious. They had a limited options & it's cash only. They sell the recreation permit and scare People that they'd get a ticket, while they could have been honest about the fact there is no people in reservation and advice not to loot people. We had been told that we HAD TO try the fry bread tacos years ago when we were here the first time. Unfortunately, we didn't make it in 2019, so I made sure we stopped this time. The menu is very limited. There's only like six things on the menu and they are all centered around the fry bread. It's totally worth the stop! We are Mexicans traveling from California and we get homemade Mexican food almost a day on a daily basis. With that said, the tacos were amazing! I had a regular taco or plain taco and my husband had a taco supreme. We both thoroughly enjoyed our taco. We also tried the four berry cobbler and it was awesome. Do yourself a favor and stop and try the fry bread in any form. It's pretty amazing! Oh, and the owners were incredibly kind and friendly! They accept cash, Zelle, and Cash App. read more

Very disappointing experience. Yesterday we walked into pats place at 12:20. They open at 12 noon. There were only 2 people in front of us. We ordered a couple of their tacos. The lady was not very friendly taking our order. About 40 minutes went by no food. About that time the gentleman comes out and said we ran out of fry bread and he just made a new batch and now could serve food. We were the next order supposed to be out at that point.Then another 20 minutes goes by and we finally get our order at 1:30. Maybe next time when you take an order and you only have a couple customers to serve let them know you are out of fry bread. Especially after only being open for 20 minutes at that point and you are already out of bread. Then after you say bread is done it takes another 20 minutes to make the taco. I gave it 2 stars because the tacos were not terrible. But for sure not worth the hype and especially not worth the wait. read more

It's not so much a restaurant or food stop, but a little hole in the wall with hot pots! Only one person allowed in to order at a time. Forgetting the few issues we had upon receiving our oder, overall it was super tasty. We had the plain fry bread taco, and one cinnamon sugar and one with jam. Eating outside along the water. Not a whole lot of options, but did I drive 3 1/2 hours to go on a short hike and eat some delicious fry bread? I sure did! I love Indian fry bread and will eat it any chance I get - what's not to love about hot, puffy, delicious fry bread anyway? The fry bread tacos are fresh and covered with generous portions of refried beans, cheese, lettuce, tomato, scrumptious salsa, and meat as well if you want it. I have been waiting a long time to eat at Pat's Place. I got the Indian Taco Supreme and it was FANTASTIC. You see, this isn't the first Indian Taco for me. I've eaten IT's a few times before but they certainly did not compare. My last Taco was in Arizona and was nothing like this delicious bit of puffy cloud goodness. The puffed Taco pillow was so soft, warm and easy to cut. It wasn't greasy at all. This pillow of goodness was topped with yummy seasoned ground beef, lettuce, tomatoes, olives, salsa, jalapeños and sour cream. The IT was filling on its own but I got a couple pieces of pie to share with my family; those are also home made. I got the blackberry pie and banana cream pie. They were the best pies I've ever eaten. The other family member had the nachos Supreme which was equally delicious. The restaurant was very clean, tidy and well organized. Everyone was busy but cheerful which tells me that the management is kind and a pleasure to work for. I highly recommend you give Pat's Place a try. There are not a ton of Choice near here, so we tried Pat's Place. Super casual. They only take cash, and you can only have one person inside when ordering at a time. What I can only assume are the owners, are super focused, not super fast, and not the friendliest. Although we did get some warmth once the food was finally brought out. It did take awhile, as there was a big party right before us. Food was good, fry bread was amazing (according to my husband!) I did not eat because I am gluten free and a pescatarian, and there was bascially nothing for me on the limited menu. Wish I had more cash, as I would have liked to try the pie! read more

It's always the mom and pop tiny places that have the BEST food. I had heard about the Indian Tacos here and made the trip out here on the way to Cape Flattery and it was worth the stop! The fry bread was crispy yet soft. A perfect combo. It was delicious! Bring your mask as they require you to wear it when you go in to order. Remember you are on tribal land and a small mom and pop establishment. Respect their rules. There are tables and chairs to sit outside and enjoy your Indian taco. I would definitely stop if your in the area. And to me it was worth the trip out to the Northwest Part of WA. I haven't had a decent Indian Taco since I left South Dakota and this exceeded my expectations. Yummo! read more

These people who run or own this place are the rudest people I have ever encountered. We walked in and I did not realize that it was a to go place w no tables to eat at and I just casually said oh are there no tables to eat at in here (more to Myself than anything as I looked around). The lady at the counter basically yelled at me to go back outside and read the sign. There is a sign out front stating there are no tables and only one person allowed inside and like ten other rules. I admit we did not read it but it was like 42 degrees and we had a cold toddler and were eager to get inside. To be honest I did not even see the sign. I did not just ignore it. So the lady kicked us out and then followed us outside to rudely point out the sign. We did not even end up eating here even though we really wanted to try it because this lady was so crazy and rude I could not bear to give them our money. She could have just kindly told us to read the sign instead of being as rude as she was. No need for that. Look I have been a server for like 20 years I get the business I don't need anyone to kiss my butt and I'm certainly not a "karen". But this lady was rude behind what is necessary given the circumstances. Even my daughter was like why is that lady being so mean to you mommy. It was very weird. We went just down the road to the warm house restaurant where the whole staff was really sweet to us and we were happy to give them our money and a big fat tip for being nice. If you wanna be yelled at and eat outside in the cold give pats place a try. If not go down the street to warm house and try their French dip! read more

Go for the pie and go early! It's the best we've ever had and it sells out! We had to push through the customer service that was underwhelming at first. When we walked in and inquired about ordering the guy pointed and we were told the menu was outside on a sandwich board. We went outside to look and came back in to order and the guy seemed friendlier after that. The Indian tacos were good, but the pie is what blew our mind- the best apple crumble pie ever. We would have loved to try the other type that was available but they were sold out of pie and apparently it happens often. The views of the bay are beautiful. Fan-freaking-tastic. My girlfriend and I just ate here after walking the Cape Flattery trail, and let me tell you, it was some of the best fry bread we have ever had. We ordered 2 fry breads (one cinnamon sugar, one strawberry jam) and 2 veggie Indian tacos. The fry breads were so good we had both finished ours before the tacos came out. As I write this it's 3:23 pm on a Saturday... Googls shows closing time is 4 pm and their OWN Facebook page says closing time on a Saturday is 5:30. When we arrived initially it was around 2:30 but they require face masks to enter (bc in summer 2022 why would we assume any business is still doing this). Not a huge deal and I was REALLY looking forward to some fry bread. So I go searching around town for a face mask out of respect and return at 3:10. As soon as I walk in a man says "we stopped taking orders". All I responded with was "really?" in a surprised tone. This guy felt the need to cop a serious attitude, saying "yeah! At 15 til". Like I was an idiot for asking. Completely unnecessary. If ANYone copped an attitude it should've been me considering 1) multiple websites did not state a closing time as early as 3 pm, 2) even if you close at 3 pm that should mean you stop taking orders at 3 pm, not 2:45 and 3) there was absolutely no reason for an attitude. I don't care how good the food is, it's not worth it. I don't even think as a restaurant on a reservation that they are subject to health dept regulations which is scary bc it looked absolute filthy. Plus you have to sit outside and it stinks to high heaven. If you want to risk you better come in an RV and eat inside to escape the smell! read more

This review is mostly regarding their hours. Yelp and google says they close at 4 pm and their store front says they close at 6 pm. I arrived a little after 3 on a Thursday, and their open sign has been turned off. The door was still open and there were people were still inside and outside eating. I asked if they were still opened, and the lady said if I saw the sign in such a condescending manner. How about updating your hours so it's not confusing. read more
