Drive through coffee spot in Forks, WA. This is a food desert that has more coffee spots than food spots. It's a good option for coffee again considering the location.

DELICIOUS! Fast, friendly service. Oatmeal cup was so good, as well as the bagel with cream cheese. Breakfast sandwich and scone was fresh. Iced latte was really perfect. Also, the protein shake was tasty. I'd definitely come back. Super sweet young girl took our order and was a delight to deal with. Really great customer service!!

We had a excellent breakfast at Shot in the Dark. Note, the cafe is set up as drive/through only, so there is no seating inside or outside. Service was quick and friendly. We ordered two egg sandwiches, coffee and a smoothy. The coffee had a rich flavour and the sandwiches were made fresh on the spot and were delicious. Would definitely recommend.

Busy coffee shop in Forks, WA. We stopped by here for breakfast before heading out to the Hoh Rainforest. Barista was friendly. I ordered a #3 sandwich, sub spicy sausage for regular sausage. Because it was a custom order, it came out to be 8 bucks and some change. Definitely felt like a Seattle price I wasn't expecting XD It was a good sandwich though so I really can't complain plus they're off of Hwy 101 so it is what it is. They don't take American Express so make sure you have a backup form of payment.

Stopped her during our visit to Forks. I got a vanilla latte and #1 ham/egg/cheese croissant, and my boyfriend got a lemonade and #4 bagel sandwich. Everything was delicious we will be stopping here again tomorrow morning before heading to hoh.

Excellent coffee and breakfast sandwiches. Had the #2 (bagel) and #3 (English muffin). The bagel was def the winner, but both were solid choices. The caramel latte and vanilla latte were the best we had all trip in WA. Highly recommend this place!

a cute drive through only cafe with some really friendly staff! we got the: - egg, sausage, cheese on cheese bagel ($6.50) - egg, ham, cheese croissant ($6.50) - egg, spicy sausage, cheese english muffin ($6.50) - fairlife protein iced mocha ($5.50) - tropical harmony smoothie ($6) I liked the bagel sandwich and the smoothie the best! everything was pretty good and affordable, but they forgot our yogurt parfait :"(

Another cute drive through coffee shop. Service here was faster and I got a matcha latte (though I'm not sure if that was the best decision). The latte was a tad too sweet and it didn't sit well with me afterwards.

Stopped by for a quick pick-me-up on the way to Hoh Rainforest. Super impressed by how delicious the coffee was here! Ghirardelli mocha had that perfect chocolate flavor - sweet but rich. If you're a mocha lover, you will love this. Their apple cider is incredible - great if you want something uncaffeinated. Also grabbed a blueberry scone - it was decent. Would probably try a decent pastry next time, though. Drive-thru coffee stand. Staff were friendly, and they were efficient at preparing our order. Definitely recommend stopping by!

We originally planned to hike Cape Flattery, but thick coastal fog had other ideas. Looking for a place to grab lunch, we found this small, unassuming restaurant in Neah Bay--and we're so glad we did. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with genuine hospitality. We even had the pleasure of meeting Pat herself, and she made us feel like longtime friends. That welcoming atmosphere made the experience just as memorable as the food. We ordered the famous Indian taco, served on fresh homemade fry bread, and it absolutely lived up to its reputation. The fry bread was warm, perfectly crisp on the outside, soft on the inside, and piled high with delicious toppings. We couldn't leave without trying the sweet fry bread dessert, and it was incredible. Warm, lightly crisp, and topped with cinnamon and sugar, it was the perfect ending to an outstanding meal. Pat's Place is cash only, so be sure to plan ahead, but don't let that stop you from visiting. If you're exploring Cape Flattery, Neah Bay, or anywhere on the Olympic Peninsula, this restaurant is absolutely worth the short detour. We had originally tried to eat at the gastropub just two doors down, but it was completely packed with a 45-minute to 1-hour wait. Meanwhile, Base Camp had only 2-3 occupied tables out of maybe 10-12, so because we were short on time, we decided to eat here instead. Unfortunately, I wish we had waited or gone somewhere else. Here's what we ordered: - Two alcohol flights -- $16 each - Dungeness crab dip -- $18 - Chicken wings -- $20 - Hot honey apple butter flatbread -- $16 - Garlic butter steak bites -- $20 - Cider-braised pulled pork tacos -- $21 - Mac and cheese -- $18 - Kids' cheeseburger -- $13 Our bill was $176 before tip. After a $25 tip and a 3% credit-card fee that we didn't notice until afterward, we spent a little over $200 for five people -- more than $40 per person, including our 8-year-old. My eyeballs practically popped out of my head when I saw the total. There were definitely some positives. I really like the concept of sourcing ingredients locally, and they even have a map showing where their ingredients come from. Our server was friendly. The chicken wings were really good, the fries with the kids' cheeseburger were also very good, and the cheeseburger itself was probably one of the better things we ordered. But for these prices, I expected considerably more. The $20 garlic butter steak bites were extremely chewy. Some pieces felt like I was chewing forever. The $18 mac and cheese was nothing special and honestly tasted like something I could make better at home. The $18 Dungeness crab dip was a very small appetizer and didn't feel worth the price. And the $21 pulled pork tacos were just two average-sized tacos. The portions in general were surprisingly small. Even when we asked for plates for all the shared food, we were given tiny appetizer-sized plates, maybe six inches across. Trying to actually eat off them without food falling off the sides was awkward. Full-sized plates would have made much more sense. The atmosphere wasn't particularly enjoyable either. The music was louder than I would want for a restaurant, and the speaker system sounded distorted and very bass-heavy. Instead of being pleasant background music, it was distracting and made the dining experience less comfortable. The alternative-style music selection also wasn't to my taste, although obviously that's subjective. A lower volume and clearer sound system would have made the atmosphere much nicer. I don't mind paying premium prices for a genuinely great meal. But this simply did not feel like a $200 meal. We ate at another pub the previous day and spent around $100 for all five of us, and we left much more satisfied. In retrospect, seeing only 2-3 tables occupied here while the gastropub two doors down was completely packed probably should have been our clue. I really wanted to like Base Camp because I appreciate the local-sourcing concept, and the wings were legitimately good. But between the small portions, very high prices, chewy steak bites, mediocre mac and cheese, unpleasant sound system, and $200+ final cost, I can't justify more than two stars. If we're back in Port Angeles, we'll be eating somewhere else.
