on my way in and out of the hoh rainforest i came here twice for breakfast. got a latte which was great (and i'm really picky lol, i just drink the espresso with milk), they use good quality beans and probably grind the beans right away. the breakfast sandwich with the english muffin, spicy sausage, and egg was so flavorful and gave me the mental motivation to hike nearly 40 miles into the rainforest. i also got a bagel on the way out too cuz i was so hungry after eating freeze dried food for 4 days, and it was pretty soft and delicious, jalepeno cheddar flavor is nice. all in all, if you're cruising through forks on the 101, stop here for the coffee and brekkie to hold you over on your way to seattle or olympia, you won't be disappointed. read more

Was very accessible drive through, I pulled in with a truck and trailer. I loved that this place has 32oz cups. Coffee tasted great, got a huckleberry latte but forgot to mention half sweet. So ended up a bit too sweet for my taste but was great. I'd definitely have it again if I'm ever in the area again. read more

Busy coffee shop in Forks, WA. We stopped by here for breakfast before heading out to the Hoh Rainforest. Barista was friendly. I ordered a #3 sandwich, sub spicy sausage for regular sausage. Because it was a custom order, it came out to be 8 bucks and some change. Definitely felt like a Seattle price I wasn't expecting XD It was a good sandwich though so I really can't complain plus they're off of Hwy 101 so it is what it is. If you're a mocha lover, you will love this. Their apple cider is incredible - great if you want something uncaffeinated. Also grabbed a blueberry scone - it was decent. A Shot in the Dark is located off of the main road that goes through Forks. I went through here a couple of times on my trip to Olympic National Park because I was in a rush each morning. A Shot in the Dark was the perfect spot for me to get my morning coffee fix before getting on the road. I had heard that the bagel and egg sandwiches were great here. We spotted by here while driving to Hoh Rainforest. This is a small shed-like building with drive thru only, serving coffee and breakfast items. There were quite a few cars in the parking lot and the flow of traffic was not great. Service was also really slow. We got hot chocolate with oatmilk, clarifying that it was adults so wanted normal hot temperatures. However, we got watery, lukewarm hot chocolate, which we did not drink much of before tossing. The white chocolate Ghirardelli mocha was pretty tasty but not worth it for the long wait and terrible hot chocolate. read more

Coming back from Hoh Rainforest, we were a bit tired and wanted to grab something to wake ourselves up. A Shot In The Dark was on the way to our lunch spot so we decided to stop by. - PARKING - Drive-thru only! There's a window on both sides of the small hut, so you simply follow the lines until you get to the order window. - SERVICE/ENVIRONMENT - The line can get long and extend out into the street, but when it gets busy, an employee comes out to each of the car windows to take orders as to move things along faster. They also bring some menus out to your car as it would delay ordering if you got to the window and still didn't know what you wanted, so that was nice of them to do! - DRINKS - Frozen Lemonade: Super refreshing and tart! Perfect for a post-hike treat. Easy drive through for coffee, great bagel breakfast sandwich prepared surprisingly fast for how good it was. The croissant sandwich did leave room for improvement but the bagel sandwich made up for it two fold. Service was fast and efficient no long wait. This was one of the higher rated coffee spots in Forks so we stopped by for some pick-me-ups. It's drive-thru only with two lanes going in opposite directions. Since it was a little busy when we visited, one of the workers came out and handed our cars some menus, which helps streamline the whole process. What's really cool about this place is the huge list of flavors and syrups. Our entire car each got their own coffee and everyone picked something different. They charge an extra quarter for iced drinks which I find odd because don't we already get less coffee with ice in the cup? And the food menu has enough for everyone in the car, from savory bagels to sweet pancakes, waffles, or delicious coffee cake loafs from a local bakery. If needing a true pick-me-up the Shot in the Dark is a drip with extra shot of espresso, known elsewhere as a red eye. And the extreme caffeine option is actually their Red Bull spritzers. Friendly and fast service and parking available to pull over at the gas stations next door. Forks is a wonderful town with a great souvenir store across the street from this spot, expect gray weather but this drive-thru is definitely a signature vibe. read more

After a long day of hiking, this was a refreshing drink to stop by and have. The staff is friendly, and there's 2 drive thru windows to help with the line being too long. I got a strawberry banana smoothie and it was nice and cold but unfortunately I couldn't taste any of the banana in the drink and it didn't taste like real fruit was used. One of my absolute favorite things is a small town drive thru coffee stand. I was looking for a place that served oreo shakes and I believe I only had two options so I chose this place. Gladly, it didn't disappoint. There was another car in front of us and they ordered a lot of drinks so it did take a bit longer, but the wait was worth it.
