They also gave us a few free waters. We had 8 people with us and we got 2 wave-runners for 2 hours so people took turns. Just down to the left, you can see Tiger Wood's compound (mostly the walls security cameras and his boat) but you have to go in a no wake zone for a few minutes to get there. Still pretty cool. I recommend going fast for the first part and if you have time check out Tiger's house on the water! Remember to bring cash for tipping the crew - they are very helpful and deserve it.

Unfortunately, this experience was disappointing because of how the situation was handled after the issue occurred. This was our second time renting from Salty's Water Sports in Fort Pierce. Our first experience was excellent, which is why we returned. The staff previously had been welcoming, helpful, and professional. This trip, we rented a Sea-Doo pontoon boat to take the family out to a nearby sandbar and cruise the Intracoastal. During the walkthrough, I noticed the check engine light was on and pointed it out immediately. The employee reassured me everything was fine. However, once we left the dock, the boat would only travel about 6-7 mph, even after trying different modes including Sport Mode. We still made the short trip to the sandbar so the kids could enjoy some time there. Following the staff's recommendation not to beach the pontoon due to the engine, we anchored offshore safely. After about an hour, we attempted to continue cruising, but the boat still would not exceed 6-7 mph. My wife called the office to make sure we were not missing a setting or operating it incorrectly, and the employee instructed us to return to the dock. At that point, we were already about two hours into a four-hour rental, had barely traveled anywhere, and the fuel gauge still showed essentially full because the boat was not functioning properly. I approached the situation respectfully and calmly. I was not demanding a full refund or trying to be difficult. I simply asked if we could either receive: * A two-hour voucher to use when we returned in two weeks, or * A partial refund for the lost rental time. The dock staff was apologetic and initially offered another boat plus extended time, which I appreciated. However, by then it was already late in the afternoon, and restarting the process would have cut heavily into the remaining time. Since we genuinely enjoyed the overall experience and planned to return anyway, I again asked for a simple future-use voucher instead. Unfortunately, once management/ownership became involved, the interaction became far less customer-focused. Every request for a reasonable accommodation was denied, including waiving fuel charges despite the boat barely being used and the fuel gauge remaining essentially full. What disappointed me most was that the focus shifted from resolving the issue to defending the business. There was also conflicting communication regarding what my wife had supposedly been told over the phone, despite her only speaking with a male employee who instructed us to return to the dock. To make matters more concerning, after leaving I noticed multiple pending charges on my card, including two separate charges of $345.13 plus an additional pending charge of approximately $750. I now have to spend additional time sorting through the billing situation to ensure there was not an incorrect duplicate charge. I fully understand that equipment problems can happen in any business. The true test is how those situations are handled afterward. I was simply asking for a reasonable solution after receiving a pontoon boat that could only travel 6 mph. Had this been handled differently, Salty's likely would have earned repeat business from our family for years to come. Based on this experience, I unfortunately cannot recommend renting a pontoon boat from Salty's Water Sports.

His easy going manner yet attention to details such as asking "Do you need some sunscreen?" and "We have the latest kayak launch system in the industry" illustrate the care he demonstrated to my husband and me. His business started with paddle boards and although I've been paddle boarding for a few years I can't wait to take a lesson from him using my own equipment! In addition to having an awesome morning on the intercostal waterway and circling the spoils islands, we made a new friend! Hats off to Chris and his we'll run business. Stopped into the Environmental Learning Center on a whim after driving past it many times, and now…read moreI'm wondering why I waited so long. This place is one of those hidden little Treasure Coast gems that almost hides in plain sight. The boardwalk trails through the mangroves were peaceful, scenic, and surprisingly immersive. Every turn felt like a mini nature documentary. Within a short walk I spotted a ribbon snake cruising through the water, an orb-weaver spider that looked like it came straight out of a sci-fi movie, and plenty of birds and wildlife along the way. Bring a camera because you'll use it. Bonus points for the rare opportunity to admire a spider web without immediately walking face first into it. The grounds are well maintained, educational without feeling overly touristy, and just plain relaxing. There's a nice balance between nature preserve, learning experience, and quiet escape from the everyday rush. Also appreciated that you can spend 30 minutes here or easily lose a couple of hours wandering the trails and slowing your brain down a notch. We didn't try the kayak rental this time but made a mental note for the future. If you live in or visit Vero Beach and enjoy nature, photography, kayaking, wildlife, or just finding peaceful spots that don't involve crowds and traffic, this place is absolutely worth a stop.

We got to see a lot of fish and native Florida wildlife! There were a lot of walking trails, kayak/canoe launches, and tons of information posted around about native Florida habitats! There was also a play area for kids as well. We spent a lot of the time in the aquarium room (and yes it's a room not a super huge space) since it was air conditioned and our daughter really enjoys seeing the fish. They have a touch tank that's open for a few hours throughout the day, but we noticed that if the tank isn't open, there was no staff in the space. The facilities seemed a bit older but overall well maintained. There were summer camps going on while we were there, and felt like they sort of overtook some of the spaces we were in from time to time. Not a super huge deal as we were able to go explore other parts but it did feel somewhat chaotic as a large group of 8 year olds ran into the area. You do have to pay admission, there is a pass available as well if you plan to visit more than once. Parking was not plentiful so be mindful when planing, to come early or during a more "off" time. Overall this was a neat place to go to if you enjoy learning about Florida wildlife and nature.

I actually had decision burn-out, as I went in sleepy, not knowing how they expanded this store greatly since my last visit! And maybe a super cute and soft towel even though there's no good beaches up north, but the towels were just that beautiful and buttery soft! There's a really dope Halloween design, amongst other awesome designs, and you can put them on a variety of shirt styles! Awesome music was playing, and staff was incredibly friendly and helpful!
