I highly recommend you give these guys your business whether you're a local or visiting from out of town. I travel all over the country to fish and visit fishing outfitters everywhere I go . I've visited far to my dealers in my travels that were either arrogant or really didn't appreciate the fact that I was trying to patronize their business and spend my money. I brought my valid government-issued photo ID along with my current vehicle registration showing my updated physical address. Bass Pro's own pickup instructions say that if the address on your photo ID does not match your current residential address, you may be required to provide a second form of government-issued documentation with your current physical address, such as a vehicle registration, voter ID card, concealed carry permit, hunting license, etc. That is exactly what I brought. My driver's license was my photo ID, and my vehicle registration was the supplemental proof of current address. However, the employee/manager still turned me away and acted like I was trying to use the registration as a photo ID, which was not the case. To make it even more frustrating, I contacted several other local firearm shops afterward, and they all said that a valid driver's license plus current vehicle registration is acceptable for this situation. So it appears this was either a misunderstanding by the store or an overly restrictive store decision that was not clearly explained. I understand firearm sales require strict compliance, and I respect that. But customers should not be turned away when they bring the exact type of documentation Bass Pro's own instructions say may be used. The process was confusing, poorly handled, and wasted my time. Very disappointing experience.

The store is smaller then the location down in Stuart but much more enjoyable to visit. I have been in the service business for 40 years and am now retired. I find myself going into the store just to look around and not always to buy items but asking questions and learning form the staff and I end up going home with a bag of good fishing stuff. She might have well have said 'don't let the door hit you on the way out. Its sad, West Marine, home of the West Advisor used to be a wealth of knowledge with friendly staff!

Walked into a puddle of water in my kitchen in the morning. The filter under the sink was the…read moreculprit. The filter was there when I moved in, I repalced the filter. It was a year old. It never really worked. I used to own a farm, I know how to test water. I turned the water under the sink off completely and cleaned up all the water. I called Dave's Plumbing on recommendation of the previous homeowner. The man on the phone was nice enough, said that he may or may not be able to get someone out here, but tomorrow definitely. Fine. I got a call from one of Dave's employees that he was stopping by in the afternoon. I showed the man the situation under the sink. I asked that the shut off valves be replaced. They were 40 years old and one turn away from leaking themselves. I asked to have a filter of my choice also installed since the old filter was clearly not functioning properly and, read above, it didn't even work with a new (expensive) filter. The plumber guy even told me that the filter I wanted wouldn't help. The TDS on the new filter I installed is ~7. Folks, most bottled "spring water" is about ~35. Florida water out of the tap is ~200+. Dave - this is the part you need to read! The plumber that showed up clearly did not want to do the work; he clearly had a major attitute. I smiled, invited him in, asked how his day was going.... The Work: Replace a couple of valves and install a new filter. I did not have the filter, but I wanted the old leaking filter removed and new valves installed (one of the old valves barely shut off and leaked) so I could get use of my sink again. I would order the filter and then have them install it. Easy since the proper valve to the filter would be shut off; once the new filter was installed, just flick the switch to let the water flow. The plumber kept repeatedly saying, "You can do this yourself right?" "This job ins't too hard". He also said, "Why not just fix the existing filter". I explained to him it was not effective in the least. Again,, "You can do this yourself right?" "This job ins't too hard". "Why not just fix the existing filter". I work like everyone else and it is overwhelming sometimes. I needed to hire a plumber for their expertise to knock out the job. Needless to say, not having your kitchen sink working is a bit of an inconvenience. I could clearly see the plumber didn't want to do it. As I was showing him the door ( I mean he doesn't want to do it), he starting saying, "We are open M-F 9-5, just give us a call". You all need to understand that this was all being said with an attitude. Why would I call you? You clearly didn't want to do the job. I bought two shark bites, a coupler for the new filter I bought. It took about 1.5 hours to remove the old plumbing and install the new filter. My total cost ~300. My savings doing it myself? I'd say ~500. I will not be called Dave's Attitude Plumbing ever again. I'm glad you all have all the work you need and can afford to be selective. Florida = the state of contractors with wet diapers.

In this last visit, I needed a pair of pants hemmed and they were able to accomplish the task with no fuss or dely. The time quoted for completion was when the pants were ready and the job was done exactly as requested. The price for a pair of pants to be hemmed was, unfortunately, high but that is also the norm everywhere you call for alterations. $16 in my case so just be aware that the cost to alter might be on par with the cost of a new pair of jeans ($22). In any case, I would use them again for cleaning and for alterations. Big, shared parking lot in front.

Beyond bikes was a hidden gem. A bit hard to find but once there, everything you could ask for is at your fingertips. Clean organized and friendly is the feeling you get. The owners were super nice to me after a million questions and even added all the accessories to the bike I had purchased off CL. Checked to make sure it was safe to ride and informed me of the dos and donts. Being new into the sport it can get expensive to get everything at once. Julie (hope I spelled it right ) helped me with the choices to be made. Items in all price ranges. But never made me feel pressured to buy anything. It was a great experience. It seems like every time I visit this shop I throw them a curve ball and they hit a home run. I messaged 3 shops on Facebook and they were the first and only to respond. It's 2018 and Beyond Bikes is using modern communication methods to go above and beyond for my simple question. It was a small request. I'm sure that the time spent looking for the part cost them more than they would profit from the total sale but they did it anyway. They definitely went Beyond for me. I have been to this shop several times. They have competitive pricing and a very helpful and friendly staff. When you are there, it is like being at a buddys house, the atmosphere is great. They stock my favorite tires and nobody else in the area does. I have also went there for emergency repair close to closing time and they did not hesitate to get me going again. I also asked if he could check out my throttle which wasn't working. He installed the liners replaced the tubes (needed smaller tubes because of liners) and checked the throttle which he couldn't repair because it was defective (Duotts has finally agreed to replace the defective throttle). He also fixed an issue I had with my bike rack. On a funny side note, when I originally looked at reviews of bike repair shops, the number one repair shop in the Stuart area by far was the Palm city bike repair shop. Unfortunately, it showed that this shop was out of business. And so I settled on Jensen Beach shop. Little did I know that the owner of the Jensen Beach shop it was the same owner of the Palm city shop who closed that location and opened up the Jensen Beach shop. So I ended up with the shop I wanted all along. Bottom line would I recommend this shop? Absolutely! This is one of the few "Repair" shops versus "we service the bikes we sell only" shops in the area. The owner is great. He does great work. I would highly recommend him.

Ted, the owner and operator, graciously helped us get the proper parts and told us he'd call us back to the store once received. About a week later, the parts were here, and Ted and my husband arranged a time at the shop. He not only helped install the rack to ensure that it was safely mounted, but he also showed my husband how he did it and was very hands-on! It took them about one and a half hours - and we were good to go. He showed us how to use the straps, how to take the pads off/on, etc. You can absolutely tell Ted is a well seasoned professional kayak guy - not only that, but he's friendly and just a genuinely nice person. For any kayak needs - car racks, life jackets, kayaks, and pretty much any kayak accessory known to man - Ted is your guy for honest help!

Terrie was working when we visited the store, (I saw her name on my receipt,) and even though she appeared to be having a meal behind the counter when we came in, she still welcomed us and offered to help us.
