Fort Worth is off my beaten path, but it sounded like it was going to be worth the trip, and it was. There is an ambiance about the place that puts you right at home. It's an old school vibe that takes you back to 1934 when Archie Sr. founded the place. They have a nursery and also a landscape division, so if you are not a do-it-yourself person, they can take care of things for you. When you park and enter in, the first thing that hits you sit he size of the place, it's huge! They have an amazing selection and it is accompanied by fantastic customer service. And these are just nice friendly folks, they are extremely knowledgeable and can pretty much help you with any horticultural or landscaping need.

Unfortunately they don't carry small or tiny plants. I picked up some low maintenance plants for home and the office, a golden pothos and a vibrant orange kalanchoe. The plants looked healthy, well watered and appear easy to take care of. The prices are reasonable and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. I'm grateful for another nursery that's not far and I look forward to returning.

The photo wasn't of anything bad or wrong, it was not misleading or a misrepresentation, it was a legitimate photo of the outside area of the location that she says is shared with a landscaping company, tho what landscape company I do not know. The reasoning stated to me was that the landscaping company didn't want the photo of their area published. The photo was of the locations surroundings just as any Google maps search would provide, so it's not anything that can't be seen anyway. It showed their "shared space" which being "shared" still makes it part of this businesses space which serves as sort of a parking area. The rating on this review is based on the point of contact by the owner to manipulate the initial review by requesting removal of a photo that is a true representation of what is surrounding the business, part of their "shared space", this removes what is also a visual to allow others to find this out of the way place that is not on any main road. I don't feel it is appropriate for a business to private message a Yelp member for the sole purpose of manipulating what is on the review.

They also have a lot of premade stuff, like queso, chicken and potato salads, a reach in fridge full of stuff. They also have a good selection of plants for sale. Just about any produce item, and many fruits, are all here and all quality stuff. Once you start getting produce from here, you'll never buy any mass produced crap from the other stores again. At no time did the nursery staff say that the plants may have been treated with pesticides. I thought nurseries had stopped using pesticides on milkweed because it is the only host plant for critically endangered Monarch's butterfly. Lesson learned. Sadly, the plants from Calloway's are treated with pesticides. They are not butterfly safe. I lost 30 Monarch caterpillars in one day. They do have a good return policy. I was able to return all of the poisoned plants.
