I've always been curious about Ethiopian food. I've had it once food before and was not quite hooked. So once I walked into Mango House and saw Natoli Cafe. I knew I had to order. The lady behind the counter was sweet. I ordered the Doro Wat. Every order comes with Injera as well. Now I was so excited to try this, and it was good, but I think there was so much Injera and not enough sauce! The sauce was rich and savory but the injera soaked up a lot of the sauce. Those parts of the injera were delicious! If there was a bit more sauce, I think the dish would be stellar! I would definitely come back to try other things, but may try other things in Mango House before doing so.

Amazing good! Amina helped us order and then prepared us a feast! Our food was bursting with flavor and portions were large. Delicious!

The Ethiopian cuisine served at this restaurant is outstanding. This restaurant is located in the food court area of the Mango House. The head chef and owner owner Amina, goes above-and-beyond providing customer service , and cooks the food with a personal touch. I ordered the Lamb Awaze Tibs, with a side of rice, it was incredible! I had a couple of espresso after my meal, it was delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant if you're in the Denver area, I will definitely dine here again.

Amina is so sweet and accommodating! Her food is the best Eth food I've had in Denver. Try her Malawahbread and samosas. You won't be sorry.

What a great hidden gem! Located at the Mango House along Colfax Ave in Aurora, Co... With ample parking in the back... this is a great place to stop for a quick break. There is a small takeout Ehtiopian place near the Natoli Cafe. I ordered the veggie combo that came on a huge plate with multiple lentil items, including cabbage and red beets. The meal was fragrant and with right amount of curry and spices and comes with extra Injera! The service was impeccable and the fiod was fresh. The owner also serves freshly ground Ethiopian coffee with frothed steamed milk. The coffee comes directly from Ehtiopia! The smell itself makes your mouth water. Definitly a place to stop for lunch or dinnet. If you're lucky you might hear the owner, Amina's story... she rents the space at the Mango House... and has dreams of having her own stand alone restaurant. I will definitely be back for more authentic Ehtiopian food.

Home-roasted coffee, home-made pastries and all are delicious. The cafe is part of a larger food hall but it's a great place to study.

And the really added extra that made the meal so special is the warm and welcoming personality of the owner. I hope many people reading this will try this terrific restaurant.

This used to be our favorite Ethiopian spot until our most recent take out experience…read more We called to order two vegetarian combos at 5:30 and were told told to come in pick up at 5:45. When we get there at 5:45, we notice that the food is packed up in a medium (9"x13") sized aluminum pan with lid. In the past we'd gotten our meals in two styrofoam take out boxes with plenty of food so I was initially excited to see the new packaging because I believed the quantity would be the same or more. We get home 5 mins later and were sorely disappointed by our order. There were plenty of lentils but the orange ones were undercooked and lacked flavor. There were only about two bites of the collard greens/Gomen wat. And usually Mama África supplies more potatoes spears with their carrot and cabbage side, this time, we also only got two bites of the cabbage, no potatoes. Not to mention, the green beans were definitely canned and had no additional flavor to them. We asked for a side of chickpea soup/shiro wat and were disappointed to find that it too lacked flavor and was mostly oil. The worst part in addition to all the above was that the food was cold and the injera tasted stale and lacked its usual sourness. To add insult to injury, the meal was nearly 70 dollars in total for something that barely fed one person. This was the first time I ever wanted to ask for a refund for our food because we barely received one portion of the veggie combo, not the two we paid for. I hate to leave a one star review for a small business but the quality and quantity of food went down drastically.

The owner was there that day and talked to us about our experience and shared details about how they make their Injera and how when done traditionally, it is fermented and made with teff flour rather than wheat. She also mentioned that some Ethiopian restaurants don't make it the traditional way and asked us to see if we noticed a difference in the taste and how heavy things felt after eating. She was absolutely right. Their food was delicious and their Injera not only tasted better but it also did not leave us with that uncomfortably full and heavy sensation. This has now become a favorite for both my husband and I. All of the food is delicious and authentic. My husband is a meat eater and I am a vegan and we both find wonderful, enjoyable food to eat here. The service is great as well!

But don't overlook Lucy near Colfax/Quebec - it's full of fresh and flavorful (and also filling) favorites served in a clean and inviting space. One of my favorite offerings there is the chicken stirfry known as Yedoro Tibs in Amharic and Nay Tibsi Derho in Tigrinya. Redolent with the spice mixture Berbere and sided with soft supple rounds of the teff-based flatbread variously called Injera or Tayta, the dish is served in plentiful portions, ensuring that prospective diners will be suitably satiated. However, I can also attest to the potato stew (Yedinich Wot / Tsebhi Dinish) I sampled on my most recent visit to Lucy. This dish is a bit more mild, utilizing seasonings such as turmeric and ginger for a mellower mouthfeel. Nevertheless, the savory sauce is still a worthy accompaniment to the sizable chunks of potato and carrot which can be found within it. I was very pleased by my meal. But honestly, anything you try at Lucy is sure to be a winner, so stop by and check out one of Colfax's less-heralded Habesha gems.

I would like to say if it's your first time just know the "bread" ingera is more sour-ish and is kind of an acquired taste. I would say I have been here many many times now and have taken to go and eaten in small groups and bigger groups. I would say the area is definitely very beautiful and cultural. The take out doesn't really give you the experience so I would say eating there is better. I wouldn't say costumer service is above and beyond but they definitely are nice and have helped us taking out food to go and check on us to see how we're doing. The food is definitely more expensive than I would wish but lots of time and effort go into making the food so it is nice to splurge on this kind of food. Now since I have been here many times, every time the food is amazing and hot (not spicy hot but temp hot) waiting time isn't too long and it's usually nice and quiet enough to hear your friends not too quiet where you can hear a pen drop. FYI they are not welcome to outside food/drink in case one person wants other food.
