Konjo is located inside the Edgewater food court. The injera was soft and fully and veggies/lentils were tasty. Food is premade and heated on order for quick service. The portion size was small for the price and extra injeras were needed to finish the veggies.

I finally tried Ethiopian food after o my getting samples of it from other Yelp events. I am on a goal to increase my fiber intake daily so I ordered the veggie plate. There's a nice variety to choose from for the veggie plate from cabbage to spinach to lentils. Everything was quite flavorful and the portions are huge. This plate lasted me 3 meals roughly. I would've chosen the rice instead because it's easier on my stomach instead of the bread. But otherwise, it was pretty good. The tater tots were also quite good. I would've liked a little more of the seasoning but it's a pretty good deal and one of the more bang for your buck options at Edgewater.

Konjo inside Edgewater Public Market opened a few years ago. They are on the east wall just inside between Lazo Empandas & Dumpling Spot. Edgewater was really buzzing. At least 1/2 the seats were occupied. Konjo has a straightforward menu, a traditional plate with injera or a bowl with turmeric rice. You can make it vegan or add beef, chicken or lamb for proteins. There are 4 veggies to choose. I got the rice bowl with chicken, Misir Wot (simmered red lentils) and Tikel Gomen (curried cabbage with potatoes and carrots). I added a side of Awaze hot sauce. Very fiery. Only soft drinks. I got Pellegrinno Essenza Tangerine water. Edgewater has a beer hall and a full bar nearby. There is a small kids menu and brunch is offered Sat/Sun with burritos until 3pm. They have a rewards program.

Vegan Plate with all 4 veggie options

I only have positive things to say about Konjo! I get the same entree every time - the Vegan Plate with the added 4th veggie option. So that's spiced red lentils, yellow split peas, spinach & potatoes, curried cabbage, and injera. I can't stress enough how delicious this plate is *every* single time I order it. You can tell each item is made with care and attention to detail. The staff are always friendly and my order comes out in mere minutes, if not moments. If you are dairy, soy, nut, or gluten-free, Konjo has you covered. I also love that they serve in aluminum plates - if I want to warm up leftovers (what leftovers?) I can just take off the plastic cover and pop the dish in the oven. I'm also always happy with the quantity of food I receive for the price.

Konjo is a quick service Ethiopian restaurant in the public market. The positives: Konjo is delicious! I love the quality of the lamb, Injera, and spinach. Additionally, Ethiopian platters are typically large and require a large group to share. Konjo makes it possible for you to get individual servings. The negatives: while the traditional patterns come with all the vegetables, Konjo only allows you to order one side of vegetables. It isn't the same experience without the variety of vegetables in my opinion. However, if you wanted to order all the vegetables, it would be over $25 for your platter. The experience left me, wishing I had gone to a typical Ethiopian restaurant to order a traditional platter to share with friends.

Came in the visit edgewater public market shops and got hungry. Ordered the lamb with rice, injera, and gomen with dinich. The food was lacking seasoning and meat was dry. The good part was that you can each component of the fish. Would not mind giving this place another try!

I've been ordering from Konjo for as long as I've lived in Colorado. Even during the pandemic, Lamb/Beef Tibs was my go-to delivery. So flavorful and filling. Ethiopian food in Denver surprisingly slaps! I've seen their food truck at music events and believe this is how they started, so it's cool to see their food stall inside Edgewater Public Market. Check it out, and try something new!

Mimi is the sweetest lady and exceptionally customer service oriented. I'm a veggie, my service dog is not!! And I think she works 24/7 with a beautiful smile and warmth that beckons Mimi made me some OUTRAGEOUS garlic spinach over saffron rice, OHHHH YUUUMMMM, There are so many choices, I have added their menu and drinks in the photos. Oh the Market, and delicious Ethiopian food, not to be missed The entire team are AWESOME and very helpful with huge smiles, this is part of the "Public Market in Edgewater. Konjo is easy to find and has a great Kiosk as all have great signage displaying their goodies. The menu fits all spicey, yet not too much Ethiopian foods. Great place to try out several dishes. I did top this off, the garlic and saffron with some delicious FRESH SQUEECES ORANGE JUICE from Aphrodite owner of Saints and Sinners, she is a delight and can be met on Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays. The Public Market is well thought through, as you exit, there is a "Recyle Bin" for all your waste, please recycle! There many Kiosks in the public Market, stay tuned I am writing up a few just for your mouth to water and zoom in. Cheers

For fast casual Ethiopian, Kongo is pretty good. However, they are not fast. Be prepared to wait a minute or two. I tried the bed ribs plate. You order via a kiosk. Cuts down on time and any misinterpretations. I ordered the beef ribs plate. I really enjoyed the injera and the beef tibs. The tibs had just the right amount of spice and they weren't too greasy. My two sides, the red lentils (miser wat) and the curried cabbage (tikei gomen) were fine. I personally prefer a bit more seasoning in both. The cabbage portion was twice as much as the others. I sort of wish I had also tried the yellow lentils (kik alicha), but it would have been too much food. In fact, I didn't quite finish. So, thumbs up on portion size. Altogether, the plate made for a decent lunch. The Milk Market location is a good choice for picky eaters because there are several dining options all in one space. I would consider trying Konjo again.

When I found Bibamba while I was at Edgewater Food Hall to get me a plate of Ethiopian food, I stumbled up it by accident. The kind lady who was manning the register inside was above and beyond while I was sampling different types of chocolate barks along the window shelves. She explained to me that the store opened about three years ago. Really? I am pretty sure I had come here within that time frame at least once. I guess I had missed this place out of ignorance. Well, I, at least, discovered it. This is a Colorado store which imports cacao beans from Cameroon as the owner runs/owns a farm in the African country. Per the information board on the wall, the farm sustainably sources everything. I certainly appreciate businesses that focus on social responsibility.
