I ordered the combo meal ( Chicken Tikka Masala and Chicken Vindaloo). The flavors and spices were really good! I definitely recommend this one to anyone in the Foothill Ranch area! Always a good tasty meal when I come here. Nicely sized portions too. The only hold back from being 5 stars is the decor. Its time for them to freshen up their interior. Feels very drab and old in there. Adding to that, no joke, half of the times I've been there they'll be an employee(s) on break sleeping with their head down on the table. Its so odd. Met with some fam at the Food Festival Food Court for a lunchtime gathering. Several options to choose from at this food court and I decided on this place. I got a 2-item combo with chicken tikka masala and lauki sabzi (the lauki sabzi was recommended by the friendly gentleman at the counter after I asked him what's particularly really good here). The meal also included naan. Although the chicken tikka masala looked appetizing with its vibrant orange color, it was very bland. I initially have never had nor heard of lauki sabzi, but it's a vegetarian entree made with bottle gourd, a vegetable that I wasn't familiar with either (but after having it, it's very reminiscent of radish in terms of taste and texture). Like the chicken tikka masala, the lauki sabzi didn't have much flavor (aside from the bottle gourd's radish-y taste). The basmati rice was a bit mushy even in the parts that weren't drenched in tikka masala sauce. The only thing that I liked was the garlic naan. Had a satisfying chew to it and it was nice seeing actual chopped garlic embedded onto it. Is it worth getting a whole combo just for the naan though? Not really. Maybe the other entrees here are much better, but I wasn't greatly impressed with the ones that I had. read more

Employees are delightful offering little samples so you know what you're ordering isn't going to completely overwhelm your mouth. For me, spicy is good, but hotter than *&^%$#@!,, is problematic. So, sampling was appreciated. Be sure to get the warm Nan bread with your selections. Ordering at the counter buffet is something I like because I can actually see the food. Add in sampling to taste the flavors and it's a winner for me. I ordered two items with rice. Red chicken curry was creamy and really flavorful, definitely one I'll be back for. For $5 upcharge, I opted for the lamb which is really tasty but I'll try something new next time. And there will be a next time because the flavors are immense! The same smiling faces are no longer behind the counter. The styrofoam containers have been replaced with smaller plastic ones. The price has gone up, while the portions have gone down. The chicken in the tikka masala has gone back to being pressed chunks of dry white meat. The final nail in the coffin for me is their Grubhub page is messed up. Has been for a long time, which why you see no reviews on the Grubhub page since 2022. It only has 2 items to order from, Fish Tikka or Fish Roll. If you want old chewy chicken from the morning/lunch buffet this is your restaurant. We ordered food at 5:00 pm and picked it up, we couldn't cut through the chicken with a fork. It was very hard and old chicken. When we called to notify them, we asked if it was from the morning/lunch buffet, they admitted it was. We asked if they could make us a fresh chicken tikka masala. They said yes but to bring back the tough chicken. When my husband arrived, they cut our retuned chicken in front of my husband, so rude, they had to use a knife and use force. All the cooks from the kitchen looked over and gave my husband dirty looks. We have been ordering take out once a week here for years and tonight was our last time. You would think for all the years of business they would have comped the chicken item, horrible customer service. If you do order, make sure it's not an item on their lunch buffet that has been sitting in a warming tray all day. read more

I read a review that said they came to the restaurant at 9 PM an hour before they were closing. I wanted to comment on that and say you should never as a rule of thumb go to a restaurant one hour or 30 minutes before they're closing because it is likely they begin to close everything down. They've probably had a long day and most of their fresh food has already been sold. Anyone who has worked in the food industry knows, it takes hours to clean the kitchen so as a courtesy to restaurants and their employees, I never go to restaurants that are about to close soon. read more

About the service- the first time, they were friendly. The second time, the man help me was abrupt and seemed hurried and annoyed despite not having other customers waiting and it was hours before closing time. It wasn't very spicy which was a bit disappointing. The guy behind the counter isn't very friendly. Asking a question makes me feel like I owe him something. The service really is great here. Very friendly and helpful, the place is clean and well maintained. They have several veggie, lamb and chicken options, I feel it is not worth paying $3 extra for lamb, you really only get a small bit and the prices are already pretty high for what you get. Not a fan of the huge chicken chunks in the food, the meat is poor quality, but the sauce it was in was great. I also enjoyed the cauliflower as well as the lentil curry. Most of the food wasn't as warm as I would have liked, but the flavors were great. Tandoori mostly consisted of chicken leg pieces. We liked Chicken Tikka. Made with boneless breast pieces, they were tender and cooked well. Cost is definitely on a higher side. Total came out to $36. Customer service def needs to improve. I saw a senior person being yelled at by the counter person because he was confused about different types of Naan. First and last visit in a group of 4. I had the spinach, eggplant, mixed vegetables, and lamb with rice and garlic naan. My order was $22. My friends had chicken, rice, spinach, eggplant, and naan. We all agreed the eggplant was good tasting and everything else was not. The thing about a good restaurant (this is not "fast food" because they've prepared the food in bulk hours in advance of your order) is that every dish has to be something memorable and in a good way. You can't waste a menu item that has no flavor or even has a negative. The lamb and chicken were flavorless, the spinach and mixed vegetables were flavorless, the naan was soggy and flavorless. And when it costs $15-25 for a meal, and your food is prepared in advance, it needs to be all-around good to outstanding. The curries were disappointing and everything could have been a lot better. I'm a regular here on lunch. There's plenty of parking in the HUGE parking lot in the plaza. There's other restaurants nearby and some indoor seating. Lunch is fairly cheap here. You enter the restaurant and proceed to the counter where you will first be asked if you want plain naan or garlic naan. Just an FYI, garlic naan is extra but they don't mention it. I normally get the 2 item plate and get chicken tikka AND chicken tikka masala. Both are flavorful and the sauce from the chicken tikka masala tastes great over the included rice. A small salad is also given to you with the meal. It's pretty good too. During weekdays this place gets busy after 11:15AM. Be prepared for a somewhat long line! read more
