Came in craving Indian food and left very happy. We started with the classic veg samosas, perfectly crispy on the outside with a flavorful filling and a great way to start the meal. For mains, we ordered the OG butter chicken and it did not disappoint. It was rich, creamy, and full of flavor without feeling too heavy. The charred classic tandoori chicken had a great smoky flavor and was tender and juicy with just the right amount of spice. We also ordered the chicken royal biryani, which was fragrant, well seasoned, and packed with flavor. The rice was fluffy and paired really well with everything else on the table. Everything tasted fresh and comforting with solid portions. Definitely a spot I would come back to when I am craving classic Indian food done right :)

I was craving Indian food for lunch and came across this place on my Yelp app. I had driven by it before but never stopped by until recently. They're located in a large shopping plaza off of Marguerite Pkwy, across the street from the MV library and same plaza as Trader Joe's. Plenty of parking is available in the shared lot. I had called in my order ahead of time and only had to wait about 5 min when I arrived. The restaurant faces Marguerite Pkwy and it's a decent size with plenty of seating inside. First of all, I was very impressed with the lunch special prices! It's $9.99 for 1 item or $11.99 for 2 items, and you can choose from 8 different items. It also comes with basmati rice and naan bread. I selected the 1 item lunch special for $9.99 (Tikka Masala) and added 1 piece Chicken Tandoori for $4.99. The Tikka Masala had good flavor but it was too soupy for me and there were only 3-4 small chicken pieces. The Chicken Tandoori was fabulous! It was tender and flavorful, however it was a small piece and I didn't think it warranted the price of $4.99. I would definitely return just for the Chicken Tandoori alone. Unfortunately they don't offer that as a lunch special option, but you can order it as a regular plate for $14.99..

Apparently this is two sides of rice???

Unfortunately had a pretty bad first experience here. 1. Husband called ahead a pick-up order of butter chicken and chicken tikka masala. He was told 20-25 mins. He arrives 27 minutes later and is told "7 more minutes"... 15 minutes later he gets the food. 2. We were told both chicken orders come with a side of rice. See pic for what "2 sides of rice" in one container looks like... 3. We get home aaaaand the order is wrong. Instead of chicken tikka masala, we were given chicken tikka. I attribute this to the cutesy names they tried to jazz up the menu with. Unfortunately, cute doesn't always mean functional or useful and it confuses the staff as well. We called and spoke with the same female that took the order and she had the nerve to give attitude at first. And then we drove back and picked up the new, correct, order. I would've given 1 star but the food was actually good. And the naan is some of the best I've had.

Had an amazing first experience! Everything we ordered was incredibly flavorful and the service was great. We're so happy to have them in Mission Viejo!

So surprised at this little gem! Went here today for the lunch specials and it was fantastic! Two of us had the butter chicken and tiki masala chicken with the add on of vegetable samosas. One had the chicken vindaloo and the kadhi chicken with the vegetable samosa. Everything was fresh, cooked to order and excellent! The staff were friendly and helpful.

FYI. I've been here twice now. I again asked for extra spicy when ordering the Mutter Paneer. It was so mild that I could have given it to a baby. I guess this restaurant just doesn't do spicy.

Hello to whom all the concerns, the food here is really good and true authentic Indian style food. The service was welcoming and very explanatory. The ambiance is more relaxed and chill. I don't have anything negative to say about this place. Whenever I visit again I will be sure to visit this restaurant. I'm very pleased.

One detail I loved was the screen playing old-school Indian movies in the background. It adds a layer of nostalgia to the experience that's hard to describe, almost like the feeling you get watching classic black-and-white films. The food does take a little while to come out, but it's absolutely worth the wait. Service is friendly. Samosa Chaat (9/10) - An explosion of flavours. I loved that they leave larger chunks of samosa throughout the dish instead of turning it into one giant mashed potato bowl. Great texture and balance. Dahi Puri (8/10) - Refreshing, slightly spicy, sweet, and savuory all at once. Plus, it's a fun dish to eat. Lamb Curry (7.5/10) - The meat was tender and the curry itself was rich and flavuorful. Butter Chicken (8.5/10) - Packed with flavor and hands down the best butter chicken I've had in Orange County. My only complaint is that the portion wasn't bigger. I ran out of butter chicken before I finished my naan

However this time I thought I would try something different. So I ordered online with Mint. All the pictures and reviews were decent so why not? Well I should've stuck with my OG's because this was not it. I ordered x2 buttered chicken that was in a very small container (see photo attached) for $20 EACH! Garlic Naan that was $5, Mango Lassi also $5 and Gelato. First, if you guys are paying $20 for a small tiny container of butter chicken in LH please please do yourself a favor and go try Southern Spice. Their flavors are mouthwatering and the portion is huge. I understand inflation but this is ridiculous and the flavor is blah. It's like there is no spices in there at all just butter and tomato sauce AND the kicker...no rice! Super weird to me that they do not automatically give you rice! Like who just orders butter chicken or any Indian,Chinese, Korean dish for that matter without rice! I mean rice has to cost you guys a pretty small fraction no? Just give people 1/2c of rice! If not, at least you should make note of that on your menu so people know ahead of ordering. The garlic Naan is decent really no complaints there, the Mango Lassi they gave me was the size of a kiddy cup (see photo) Literally a child's sippy cup is bigger than what I received for $5 insane! And just to make matters worse, when I opened by bag they placed my gelato directly on top of the hot food! So when I took it out, it had completely melted. $10 for melted pistachio creamy soup, just what I wanted. You guys have to do better for your customers. I get the price increases but for what you are giving and the immense amount of lack of flavors...is wild. Save your money, drive a little bit further and eat some true Indian food in Irvine/Tustin cause this place is not it. The pictures posted are truly beautiful but pictures are not everything especially when it comes to food quality and flavor. I am only giving two stars bc the Mango Lassi and Garlic Naan were decent tasting.

The butter chicken sauce was very tasty. The tandoori chicken also had a pretty good marinade and it was not overcooked. On the vegetarian side offerings , they had dal, some kind of dry potato (aloo) curry, Saag Paneer, Navaratan korma, Bengan Barta, and also miniature Samosa and egg rolls. I'd driven past it plenty of times on the way to the dog groomer and never once felt compelled to stop. Friday night changed that. We were hungry, but not sit-down-for-two-hours hungry. We wanted something better than fast food, but not some overproduced evening of cocktails and self-importance. We wanted food worth getting out of the car for. Rangeen hit that mark beautifully. Getting my wife on board took some work. She's not a curry person. But a few online photos of fresh, vibrant salads were enough to win her over. Inside, the place still showed traces of whatever came before it, a blank quick-serve menu screen hanging awkwardly over the counter, like a relic from another life. But this was table service, and a perfectly comfortable one at that. There were maybe eight or nine tables, and one lone server holding down the front of house. Casual, older, thin, moving with purpose. She greeted us warmly, dropped menus, answered the phone, checked back often, kept the table tidy, and somehow managed to make the whole room feel cared for without a hint of drama. I went for the spicy mango chicken. My wife chose a healthy-looking salad with grilled sweet potatoes, nuts, and all the things I generally avoid unless someone smarter than me orders them first. We added naan, because not ordering naan would have been foolish. The food took a few minutes longer than the impatient part of your brain might expect. But then it arrived, and suddenly none of that mattered. My dish was excellent: nicely seasoned bite-sized pieces of chicken, rice, a fresh side salad, and a spicy sauce that pulled the whole thing together with real intention. And the plating, that was the surprise. This wasn't tossed on a plate like an afterthought from the spot next to the grocery store. It looked like someone actually gave a damn. And that, really, is what stays with you. Not just that the food was good, but that care had gone into it. The ingredients may not have been expensive, I say that as someone who owns restaurants and knows roughly what things cost, but value isn't about raw food cost. It's about what arrives at the table, how it's presented, and whether anybody in the building seems to care if you enjoy it. At $19, this was a steal. For about the price of a drive-thru burger meal, I got something thoughtful, well executed, and satisfying enough to remind me why local places like this matter. And to the party of four next to us who only left a five-dollar tip: do better.

I recently placed an order through Uber Eats during a "Buy One, Get One Free" promotion and chose to pick it up myself. When I arrived there, I realized that only one item had been included in my order. I immediately brought this to the staff's attention, but instead of trying to help, I was told that the promotion "didn't apply correctly" in the system. The problem is that I had already paid for the order, and the restaurant had received the payment. Even if there was an issue with Uber Eats, it would have taken very little effort and goodwill to honor the promotion and provide the second item that I reasonably expected to receive. Unfortunately, there was no attempt to resolve the situation, and no concern for a customer who has supported this business for many years. I left with an incomplete order. It's sad to end a relationship with a restaurant I've enjoyed for so long, but customer service matters, and this experience showed me that customer loyalty does not.
