It was ok! I was the only one there and it took about 10 mins to get my food. It was a pretty large portion, but I paid a lot for what i got. Flavorful, yes, but nothing really special. There are good indian places around that win out if you want takeout. Plenty of seating.

Natraj is a fast food Indian restaurant where they have everything ready. We ordered the chicken tikka masala to go and some garlic naan on the side. Curry comes with basmati rice and they are nice big portions. Irvine has tons of great Indian food but Natraj is just not up there at all. The chicken tikka masala was really tomato-y and the chicken was horrendously dry. The garlic naan was fluffy and crispy and tasted good with the curry. I don't think I would come back to Natraj unless they have some big promotion going on or there's no Indian restaurants around.

I like the food here, it's quick and ready to eat. Their curries are really good and I love their naan bread. Great place if you want something quick and easy.

This place has been delicious the times we have visited and pretty standard but I came by today to redeem my birthday reward which they emailed me to use, it was a free one item combo with the purchase of a drink. I drove out of my way since this was the closest location to me, all for them to tell me at the register that they refused to accept it and that there was no way they were going to. I had already ordered my food by then and made the trip for it but it was very disappointing to be mislead. I even double checked that it was for the right location. I'm currently eight months pregnant, and was violently craving Indian food so I just ended up paying. This encounter put a bad taste in my mouth and will no longer be supporting this company. There are better spots anyways. I left the two stars for the fresh food and clean location.

Enjoyed the quick service. Prices was affordable, under $20. Got their special which was rice, bread and 1 or 2 entrees. Staff was very nice, welcoming and quick. Will be coming back!

Natraj's Tandoori is a fast casual Indian restaurant chain with locations throughout southern Orange County. I always opt for a two item combination meal which is served with rice and freshly baked naan. You can sub garlic naan for a small fee. On a recent visit, I ordered the Chicken Curry and Chicken Vindaloo with my combo. The chicken items are always flagrant and flavorful, and I always appreciate the portion size. Unfortunately the garlic naan was disappointing this time and was tasteless. Also, the service was subpar and the staff member behind the counter was both impatient and inhospitable. Despite the poor service, Natraj's is a good option if you're craving Indian cuisine and don't have time for a proper sit down meal.

Great location but food quality could've been better. Chicken Masala had a strong tomato base it reminded me of when I was younger eating chef boyardee. The cashier was rude and seemed like he was in a hurry. He kept interrupting me in the middle of my question. It wasn't bad since I was looking for something quick but also not worth the money for the quality of food. If you're ever in Long Beach I recommend trying "FLAMIN CURRY"

I love their vegan samosas, it comes in 2 pieces per order for $6.45 out the door. Also ordered their 2 item plate with rice and freshly baked naan on the side. Their Saag paneer and chana masala were delicious, and they even have other options that include fish instead of chicken, lamb, or shrimp. I look forward to stopping by and trying other options they have available in the near future!

ordered rice with 2 veg and non veg entrees . Tastes ok but don't recommeNd paneer masala dosa . Not crisp and no masala and not authentic.

Service was fantastic. They are consistent in refilling their dishes. Their garlic naan was so chewy and crispy, held our many dishes well. My recommendations are their butter chicken (must have), vegetable korma, paneer, and fish curry. The desserts were all good, from their mango pudding to gulab jumun and gajar ka halwa. The gajar is a blend of carrots slow cooked into water and milk, it's nice and light. Would recommend, better than some of the already tasty Indian buffets in the immediate area!

But don't let that put you off. Once you try the food you'll have a totally different opinion! We tried the all-you-can-eat lunchtime buffet as that always lets you sample a multitude of dishes at one time. Everything I tried was very tasty and seasoned appropriately for the western palate. In particular the goat curry was very tender, sometimes it tends to be a bit tough, but not here. The naan bread was also exceptional, fresh from the oven and to hot to pick up when delivered to the table. As we had the buffet it's hard to comment on the tableside service. What we saw was good though. As it's in an industrial area lunchtimes can be quite busy.

It tasted more like North Indian food being presented as South Indian food, with very little resemblance to the flavors I associate with genuine Chettinad cooking. The chapati was particularly disappointing. It tasted stale, almost as though it had been made a few days earlier. Surprisingly, the only things I genuinely enjoyed were the papad and the lemon pickle--which says a lot when those are the highlights of a thali. The staff themselves were pleasant and had a good attitude. However, the service lacked attentiveness. No one stopped by to ask whether the food was okay, whether we needed anything else, or even whether we needed more water or napkins. These are simple courtesies that make customers feel welcomed and looked after. Most concerning was seeing a bug crawling on the wall immediately next to our table while we were eating. I couldn't tell whether it was a small cricket or a roach, but either way, seeing an insect crawling beside you during a meal is extremely unappetizing. Management should seriously consider having the restaurant professionally inspected and treated for pests. I came expecting to enjoy authentic Chettinad flavors and a variety of South Indian dishes. Unfortunately, between the quality of the food, the lack of attentive service, and the insect near our table, this was not an experience I would want to repeat.

Tables were dirty and when asked to clean; they only cleaned that one specific area and left. I don't even understand why people are saying it is the best karahi and nihari. First off it was overly priced who pays $27 for 5 pieces of chicken with some gravy. My sil can make better karahi than this. It was like a combination of 2 packets of karahi Shan masala mixed in a pan. The portions were very small compare to the price. Goat pulao was the worst pulao I have eaten probably. At least pay attention making your food if you're overcharging your customers, clean your place, provide solid customer service and make the food in a timely manner. All the good reviews are paid and probably their known people writing the review. We had to ask for water and cups after sitting there for 30 minutes no one even bothered to at least put water on our table. They barely had staff working and only 1 at the cash register or serving food. The place needs deep cleaning; it gives an unsanitary vibes that puts a bad impression to begin with.
