Went for Saturday Lunch Buffet $13 (FRI-SUN; $10 Mon -Thurs). Man everything is made from scratch with alot of love and care. I haven't eaten Indian buffet in years. But this one was so good, as if my Indian Grandma made all the food (If I were Indian, and If I had a grandma! LOL). So I'm going to be honest. When I walked in I was a little nervous because this was a little more formal than the typical Indian/Pakistani Restaurant and we definitely weren't dressed for a cute restaurant either(we were furniture shopping in our athleisure outfits...)... Anyways the we were starving and really didn't think this place would have good Pakistani food because it felt white-washed. Lol. I know not cool but I said I was going to be honest. When the food came it was plated beautifully and the food was B-O-M-B. It was fresh and NO Shan masala!!! It felt like a bunch of Moms were cooking in the kitchen. The kabobs were great but the chicken took long(they told us the bone in chicken was going to take longer but our picky 5 yr old only eats "red chicken on the bone"), it was worth the wait. It was soooo good! Not overly salted or burn off your tongue spicy. It was very balanced and oh so yummy! The Chicken Tikka Masala was good but the stand out dishes were: 1.) Chicken Korma(cooked just then...) 2.) Parathas (THE best restaurant paratha I've ever had. Awesome and flaky and memorable. I need one!!!) I needed to wash my hands and as I was walking back the had a slab of beef with a knife next to it. They freaking cut their own meat for kabobs!!! That's awesome! I will definitely be back. They do it perfectly. The chicken is adequately spicy and sized. The sauce adds a nice kick and lift in the flavor. The paratha is literally as authentic as you can get. Came here on a Thursday night because we were craving some homemade Pakistani food, and I was in no mood to cook *shrugs*. The restaurant was empty, and were greeted by a sweet lady who paused her Pakistani drama to serve us (classic). We ordered the chicken biryani, of course, Chicken Tikka Masala, and a Silver Spoon Lamb Wrap, and a Garlic Naan. They were out of lamb so we opted for the beef wrap instead. Our food took about 20-25 minutes, the naan was amazing, super fresh, warm, and soft. The biryani was pretty good, and I wasn't a huge fan of the CTM, but that silver spoon wrap....DROOL. I'd compare it NYC's famous Kati Rolls for sure. I find it hard to find good or at least decent Pakistani food on the West Coast, because of how phenomenal it is back east, but this place is definitely worth checking it out. This hole in the wall place is one of my favorites for Pakistani cuisine. I am a huge fan of their chicken briyani (the chicken is so tender and falls off the bones) and the beef silver spoon wrap. I also like the nehari which seems like a beef stew for me. I wouldn't get it if you don't like oily soups but I find the flavor delicious. Also they have a wonderful Sunday brunch for a very fair price! They have all the dishes I love (minus the silver spoon wrap) and then some! It's a great a way to try many traditional dishes! I absolutely love the chicken and lamb korma, the tandoori chicken, and all of the curries! They also have a special bread you can eat with the breakfast dishes that is very flakey and delicious! The staff is friendly and really passionate about their food. I enjoyed learning a lot about the dishes and how they cook them. Not everyone interacts with their customers a lot but they really step up their customer service and are hardworking individuals. Anytime my brother visits from out of town, he wants to have Silverspoon Wrap N Roll. Their wraps in paratha bread are our FAVORITE!!! The green sauce has a good kick to it, so if you don't like spice, request without...but if you do like it, it adds so much yumminess. The wraps are nice and big. I've ordered other dishes that were also tasty (biryani, samosas, tikka masala, saag, pappadam), but every time I go, I consistently order a wrap. The restaurant is in the same shopping center as Ruby's. I'm mentioning this since Google maps had me drive through the back of the shopping center next to it...a bit confusing. A bunch of us came for lunch to try their $7.99 buffet. What greeted us first was their chalkboard outside that mentioned the said buffet and price, but as we walked in, no server was in sight. We stood around for a bit and noticed that people who were seated didn't have anything to eat which was odd. Was the food not ready yet? True enough, the owner came out of the kitchen and told us to seat ourselves, gave us menus, and explained that there was no buffet today as the kitchen was backed up with burrito orders all morning. Why not take out the sign outside or change what it says? So disappointing! And it only gets better... We all settled for the SilverSpoon burrito for $9.99 with paratha bread except for one of us. You get to choose between lamb, chicken, goat, or beef but I ended going with the poultry to be on the safe side. By the look of things, it already seemed like it was going to be a very long lunch. And I was more than right. Food came out staggeringly at our table with one person in our party having his food packed to-go (without the container ever making it out). Everyone in our group was getting impatient since we had meetings to get back to. Waiting 45 minutes for a burrito is ridiculous no matter how good it is. And, if I may say so, I think it is rude and just plain and simple WRONG to tell a customer to change his/her order since it's causing the kitchen a delay. Throw away the menu and have one big sign that says SILVERSPOON BURRITO is all you can order, why don't you? SAMOSAS are on the house for appetizers but one each won't appease anyone's appetite if their kitchen takes that long. It does say you get two of those if you check-in on Yelp so do so but good luck catching the owner/server as she is always rushing back to the kitchen. I've seen a group leave after being ignored for so long, customers waiting for their food or their order to be taken or for their table to be cleaned up. It certainly is a lot of waiting. My order of MANGO LASSI which was placed together with the food came out at the end of our meal. It was lukewarm, very sweet, and tasted artificial. Uggh! She didn't charge me for it and offered to give me a cup to take it to-go. That, too, never made it out to our table, as with our bill. When we asked for it, she just verbally informed us of the price per burrito with tax and hurriedly walked away. We dropped $10.88 each and left with no plans of returning. read more

Came here pretty late recommended with friends, and the service was still pretty good. The auntie was really kids and had us seated very quickly. I thought it was a little strange that she was reluctant to give out suggestions to eat. She said that she likes the patrons to go with their gut. No pun intended. Layout: It's in a sizeable plaza, and the logo is pretty easy to spot. There are plenty of tables and spacing. Even though it was pretty empty, the service was a little slow, but they were able to get most of the things for us. They did forget our Food: naan was amazing. The chicken curry we got was very flavorful and yummy. The portion size was generous, and so were the layers of naan!! The palip paneer (pretty sure I spelt his wrong) was okay. 09.27.2015 I came here for dinner with my friend, to try something new in the area. We shared their famous "Silver Spoon" (aka Tikki Boti Wrap Roll) with beef and on a paratha. The wrap was definitely big enough to share, especially after having free chicken samosas and green sauce (2 pieces each). The flavor of the beef, vegetables and riata chutney all went well together. I enjoyed the green sauce from the samosas and added more to my wrap roll. The paratha was good but now I want to come back and taste it with the naan bread. read more

This restaurant is worth the wait. Authentic, delicious, perfectly seasoned. My boyfriend and I came here for a Friday night date and were both happily satisfied with our food. We tried one goat paratha boti wrap and one lamb paratha boti wrap. Think of the best meat you've ever tasted and then imagine it wrapped into a fluffy paratha that is satisfyingly chewy on the inside and crispy on the outside. I don't care to write Yelp reviews but this is warranted. I got my order off of Doordash, and it provided an estimated time window of 73 minutes. I simply called the business to make sure that was accurate as I am fasting and needed it by a certain time.. instead the lady told me she doesn't know. I called again and she did not answer my calls.. finally she answered when I called from my landline. I simply wanted an ETA as the app mentioned it was 3 minutes away, and she starts telling me how she doesn't know and i should've placed my order 6 hours prior. She was really rude, lacked etiquette and kept telling me she had to get off the phone because her stove was burning. I arrived near the end of the day in Ramadan (i.e., after fasting the entire day), expecting a buffet, as stated on the website. Below is a transcript of my conversation with a lady in the restaurant: Me: Hi, we're here for the buffet. Lady: The buffet is closed due to staffing issues, but we could prepare a take-away meal for you? Me: Great! Can it be done in the next few minutes? Lady: Muslims are the most unrealistic people. No, it cannot be done in the next few minutes. Me: OK. We can wait if it takes longer. Is the food halal? Lady: You're asking me it's halal? Didn't you check the website? Don't you know who we are? Did you reference check us before you came? Me: Uhh..I'm just double-checking. The website stated its halal, but I wanted to confirm in person. Lady: We can't prepare your food for you. I ordered two wraps (one beef/one lamb) through the Yelp app for dinner (very convenient btw). No other diners were in the restaurant around 6:00 p.m. There was a short wait for my food. The lady who greeted me was extremely nice. We made small talk as I waited for my food. There was a slight mix up with my order (I ordered one wrap with naan and the other with paratha, but they both were paratha). Not a huge deal, but I wanted to try their naan. Despite the error, both wraps were delicious! So worth the $10 price point. I'll be returning soon to try their other menu items. read more

We ordered through ubereats because we were craving good Indian food at work but we were disappointed all around. The chicken tikka masala was VERY salty and didn't retain the original CTM flavor at all. The naan were hard and tasted old. The Ubereats guy said she ran out of kheema samosas so she subbed them with chicken samosas which per the driver she said was "a better deal anyway". No, the better deal is getting what you ordered. They left out the Punjabi samosas completely so my vegan coworker couldn't even eat with us. The chicken jalfrezi was alright but again also salty. We had kids with us and normally things tend to get noisy and messy she started dictating on how to seat kids.. I mean really now... WTF the service was bad AF The food was just about ok... I visited about 6 weeks ago when the restaurant first opened and tried their SilverSpoon Wrap. The wrap part is basically an Indian pan-fried flat bread consisting of several layers of dough. For the inside of the wrap, one has a choice of BBQ marinated ground lamb or BBQ marinated chicken pieces, the latter being extremely flavorful and delicious. There are also some grilled onions and lettuce in there. This is the place for high quality Pakistani/Indian BBQ. At the time of my initial visit I was told that they there would be a buffet for $7.99. Recently I returned with a bunch of friends from work and the sign outside the restaurant said lunch buffet for $7.99. However, when I went inside the host said there was no buffet as the wraps were too popular that day. Really? This is false advertising. So then most of us ordered the chicken wrap ($10). One person ordered a lunch combo plate from the menu and another person ordered a chicken wrap with naan ($8). The host came back 15 minutes later and said the lunch combo plate would take too long to make and to order the wrap instead. Are you serious? How rude! Why even bother providing us with a menu with multiple pages, when the only thing available were wraps. We were each given a complimentary samosa, although the YELP check-in says 2 samosas each. The naan wrap didn't come out to our table until 45 minutes later. Most people on the table received their food until 30 minutes after ordering. One friend ordered a mango lassi that was warm and didn't taste that great. To top it off, the mango lassi was brought out at the end of the meal instead of at the start of the meal. There are only 2 people working here. It's a husband (cook) and wife (host) team. Having had a restaurant/grocery store in the Irvine area (Irvine Halal), I would have thought the owners of this place would understand how to run a business. There is no doubt that the wrap is outstanding although it is a little expensive. Service is where this place failed miserably as well as not having dishes or items that are on the menu. When we initially entered, there was no one to greet us for the first few minutes. There were at least 2 tables where I saw the patrons walk out of the restaurant due to the food taking too long or no one to check up on them. It was extremely embarrassing for me to build this place up at work and take all these people here and have such horrible service. I really hope this place can correct these major service flaws and offer the buffet as well. read more

A cute little restaurant I found when I looked up curry when I was in Tustin. Although I was initially attracted by the curry wraps, I'm very fond of goat curry, and that's what I ended up having. It was pretty good, and the portion was fairly large (Rice is ordered separately, but that, too, is a big portion). I came here specifically for the lamb parantha. It took a while for my order to come out, but it was worth the wait. The lamb is marinated well, and wasn't too gamey. The crispy wrap was delicious with their special green sauce! I'm a sucker for green sauces, and this one did not dissappoint. The only thing is that the wrap is pretty oily, so expect that. Also, I wish they added more vegetables to the wrap. It's mainly filled with meat, which isn't a bad thing. The owner also gave us the free samosas with check-in. Holy Tikka Boti Roll! Why have I never heard of this or seen this item at other Indian places? What is it? Being Asian ethnicity, I can only describe the outside of the roll as a dense Chong Yu Bing without the onions. The flakey, doughie texture and oily flavor make for a crunchy burrito of yum. What's inside? You can get it with lamb, goat, chicken, or beef. I got the chicken tandori inside my Tikka Boti Roll and it was filled with grilled onions and maybe cheese? That's it! Pretty simple, but packed with flavor especially with the green sauce. Is it the healthiest of choices? OH HELL NO. But will it fill you up with Indian in a burrito goodness? It sure does. Maybe it's a good thing that I don't write reviews right after a meal.. so they are short and sweet. I came here for lunch and decided on the silverspoon wrap. It was filled with chicken and lamb and was okay. It didn't wow my taste buds, but once it came out on the plate, I knew I couldn't eat the whole thing unless I wanted to pass out. The bread is thick and chewy, flavorful and it helped to soak up the oil. The protein wasn't gamey, however a tad dry . Kind of one dimensional. The sauce that came with it helped better the flavor. I also ordered mango lasi. Tasted pretty standard. Service was okay. Total damage was $15 which is kinda pricey but I got lamb so I guess that's alright. read more

This is a British Indian restaurant; Ruby, the owner brings Indian British recipies to Irvine. So, the food is Indian but molded to the tastes of the British Indian community. But she caters and can make mexican and italian. The decor is simple; a medium dinning room with a kitchen in the back. It almost feels like a bodega space turned into a restaurant. If you need to use the restroom, the owner will gladly show you the facilities in the back of the house. It would be nice if there was a restroom customers could access without asking first. But the owner was very nice about it. One more thing is there is no music, only a tv playing the news. And even that wasn't really working. Silence in the dining room isn't great. A little music would make a big difference. I would say ditch the news and put on pandora or something. The food is pretty good. The chicken biriyani was different than most places as the flavor was in the chicken pieces mostly with the rice complimenting the chicken's flavor by staying a bit agnostic to the protein. Also the seekh kabob was really good. The meat was well seasoned and was not overcooked. Also I liked how the sauce they serve with the food isn't over powering. They also have a buffet that I want to try. That way you can try a lot org different dishes. I'll probably end up here again to try the buffet soon. read more

This place is going to be a regular spot. Excellent food and service. The owner (?) is an extremely welcoming and nice woman. She was very polite and prompt. The paratha is crunchy and chewy at the same time, yum! I enjoyed both the lamb and chicken paratha, and I honestly could not tell you which one is better because both are so good. The green sauce that comes with it has a slight kick as well, also good. Also, the mango lassi is very fresh and delicious! We also received complimentary samosas, 2 each! This restaurant is a little off the beaten path, it's right where Ruby's diner is. Glad we found it because the food and service is excellent. It's a Mom and Pop restaurant, you can tell they take pride in their restaurant. Our friend did the ordering since he is more familiar with the dishes. We ordered beef samosas, chicken biryani, lamb biryani, chicken tandoori, spinach with cheese, naan (plain and garlic), another chicken dish with red sauce and lots of achara. Omg! Everything was so good! Delicious! We ate so much but it was sooooo worth getting bloated after the meal. The staff, very friendly and very courteous. We will definitely be back!
