I went to speak with Jose who works in the produce department. I explained what I needed, and although he didn't know what they were, he was eager to help. He went to the back room two times to find these jewels. Good service is a state of mind followed by good intention. Jose is a fine example of both!

I've been shopping at the Jericho Whole Foods for years, and unfortunately the service has steadily…read moredeclined, especially in the vitamin aisle and coffee shop. The vitamin section rarely has staff available to help customers, and the coffee shop has been consistently disorganized for a long time. There don't seem to be consistent hours, and many times it feels understaffed and poorly supervised. I often see new employees every few weeks or months, which makes me wonder if there are larger management or staffing issues. On several occasions I've had to ask employees just to brew coffee, and overall the customer service and politeness have not been what you would expect from Whole Foods. I don't place most of the blame on the employees themselves many seem overwhelmed, undertrained, or unsupported. The bigger issue appears to be management and the lack of organization and supervision. I really don't like writing negative reviews because I shop here regularly and want this location to improve, but after years of the same problems I felt it needed to be said.

But when you do find it you find the Mecca of fitness supplies here. The original owner was so nice he gave me a sports bottle that I use to this day. NYB offers huge discounts on all the products they sell. It's a place you goto when your real serious about working out. It's not a pretty looking place. It's cluttered, it's not lit well, and it's covered in commercial carpet. This place is not for the fate of heart. If your looking to buy workout equipment they sell that too. They don't have a large selection but it's enough to get started. All the protein bars they offer there are new too. They have a huge selection. They offer a ton of Quest Bars, but where were the Cliff Bars? I bought a 7.5 lbs. Isopure Protein for only $98.00. That's the best price around. GNC sells the Isopure 3 lbs Container for the same price. I'll stick with NYB! If working out is your life, give this place a try.
