Probably the best boba spot I've tried so far. Their menu is stacked, fruit teas, milk teas, and even a full food menu. I like that they have fun riceballs (onigiri) and snacks you don't see everywhere. Bonus for me: their chicken is halal (always on the lookout for halal options). Not the whole menu is halal though they do serve pork. The vibe inside is really cute and girly, lots of plants lined up on the counter by the window, little plushies and Asian snacks on the shelves. We love Yaya! Their onigiri is the best in the area. They are made to order so they're warm, and the rice it ingredient ratio is perfect. Other places can tend to use too much rice. I would love if their fillings included more traditional Japanese ingredients like mentaiko, hijiki, etc. but if I am looking for that I'll go to Hanamaru Mart. I also wish their appetizers were more traditional / homemade, but that is just not their thing, as Yaya is a chain and has a bubble tea focus. Nonetheless, glad to have Yaya in the area! read more

We went to Yaya tea for BOGO offer and it was okay. We tried the Hot Taro Milk Tea with boba (25% sugar) and customized fruits tea (with 25% sugar, less ice). If you want to try either of them, I would recommend you to add more sugar, at least 50%, since we couldn't taste much. We could taste the Taro flavor much, it tasted more like a hot water with a little bit of Taro flavor. The fruit tea was better since we put aloe and that had some sweetness. Welcome to Long Island, Yaya Tea! Happy to know that I no longer have to go to Elmhurst or Chinatown to have Yaya. They are located across from IKEA. My favorite drink from here is the Boyfriend. There's a ton of drinks to choose from on their "not so secret menu". The little plushies along the wall and snacks are very cute. Service here was excellent. They were getting bombarded with phone orders since the way we went was Yaya's 15 year anniversary BOGO deal, but our order was processed quickly. This place is fantastic! They made the onigiri to order, and I was expecting them to be mostly rice, but they were very nicely filled inside. The spring rolls were really good and not the least bit oily. The taro boba was good, and you can adjust the sugar and ice level if you want. There's a parking lot, so it makes it super easy to go there and get your food. The service was great. Super friendly and helpful. I can't wait to go back. Very exciting that Yaya Tea opened a location here, it's close to the Round 1, IKEA, Broadway Mall, etc. There's a little parking area to the left of the store which is convenient as it's off a big road. The interior is a bit small but cute, with the right side lined with cute plushies. The rice balls taste as good as here as other locations. You can tell it's made to order as the rice balls are still warm when they pass it to you. I've ordered the yaya chicken (which comes with seaweed), shrimp tempura, and takoyaki onigiri/rice balls and they've all been good. While the takoyaki rice ball doesn't quite taste like takoyaki, I do think it's unique in that I've never seen a takoyaki rice ball before. It tastes a bit sweet and savory, so still good but doesn't quite remind me of takoyaki. The shrimp tempura onigiri comes with some mayo and the chicken in the yaya chicken is seasoned nicely. The small size is perfect for a light snack and if you're hungrier, the large size would be more filling. If you're in the area, definitely stop by and check them out! Very cute place! Me and my friends visited during their soft opening where you buy one bubble tea, you get a free fruit tea. I was able to try their jasmine green bubble tea and the husband got the pineapple green tea with yogurt bubbles. They were delicious! The jasmine had enough jasmine flavor and you can tell they use real tea leaves. The pineapple is a syrup but it taste great! The yogurt bubbles are exactly like yakult. Why the 4 stars? The inside is very cute and the people there were super nice and explained how to unwrap and eat the rice ball, even though they do have instructions displayed. The rice balls had a nice thin layer of seaweed wrap that you quickly crack into and then hit the sticky Japanese rice similar to what you have in sushi rolls. Found this business through deer parks famous food fest last year. I've gone here a few times already and just love this spot. The onigiri is very good! I always order a bunch to share. My dad ate the chicken onigiri and it was his first time ever having it, he loved how filling and clean it was eat. Ordered a regular sized hot milk tea with tapioca and it came out to $7.33!? Damn, that's expensive. The inside shop is cute with several asian snacks for purchase. My first time trying out Yaya! I never made it to the Chinatown location but glad there's one close to home! The small rice balls are good for a snack if you're running errands or near Broadway Mall. I ordered the Salmon, Yaya Chicken, and Yaya Shrimp. The Salmon was a bit plain and wasn't anything special. The Yaya Chicken had a good sauce to it but there wasn't as much protein compared to the other two flavors. My favorite was the Yaya Shrimp! It was crispy and soft on the inside.
