I got a groupon for a 60 minute facial and I was nervous by the look of the place but the owner, Amber was soooo nice!!! She always made sure that I was comfortable and she would tell me everything she was doing to my face or putting on it. My skin is glowing and it feels great! Its so soft! Its not fancy but you get what you pay for. For someone who wants a nice facial but doesn't want to spend $120, this is the perfect place to come because you get the same results! I've never gone out of my way to write anything negative about a place but I was so upset and disappointed by this place. I came here through a groupon I purchased and thought wow what a great deal 2 facials for "only" $59. Now I regret even paying anything but thankfully I got it for a discount or I'd be even more upset if I paid full price! I invited my mom with me cuz I wanted to treat her and get her pampered. First off, this place was not a spa. It was a threading salon-hence the name- which I didn't even take into consideration when I bought it. Anyways, once we got there I already didn't like it. Our waiting chairs were literally those fold out metal chairs which I thought was really tacky, but whatever. We get walked to the back and the "rooms" weren't even rooms, they were wall pieces put together to divide different rooms plus a door. I walk into my room and the bed was lined by a towel and the pillow didn't even have a pillow case on it (gross) and there was a dirty flannel blanket to cover myself. I didn't think it could get tackier than that! My robe looked like it had never been washed so I even left my shirt on but just brought it low enough for the "massage" part. Once the "facial" actually started this lady walked in and out a few times and I realized she was doing my mom and i at the same time!!!! What?!!! If I would have known I would've offered my mom to go first and I'd go second. I was so amazed at how rude and unprofessional it was that I kept thinking this couldn't be happening and maybe another lady is running late and will be here anytime and she's just covering for her not to make us wait, right? WRONG. And in between going back n forth she would leave the door open as I was laying there trying to "relax". No privacy at all!! I even reached over to close it and 10 min later she comes back and leaves again and has the audacity to ask if I wanted to have the door open or closed. Ummm..... The "room" itself was dirty and so bright I couldn't even relax with my eyes closed so I got one of the towels and rolled it up to put it over my eyes while she was gone. She also never used the facial steamer!!! It was there but she didnt use it. It was also not relaxing at all cuz there was space between the walls and cieling and could hear everything going on in the salon. The facial itself was pathetic all she did was scrub my face with a few different things and put a mask and rubbed lotion on my arms and shoulders as the "massage". Then she said how nice my skin looked and gave me a mirror to look. I was confused and asked her if she was done and she said yes. I told her she didn't even clean my nose and I had blackheads and she's like "oh sorry I forgot I got confused cuz I did it to your mom" bullshit. She walks out (leaves the door open) comes back with the little tool and starts using it. I don't even think she cleaned it, probably not but at that point I was so fed up and wanted to leave. Now I was DONE. I put my sweater back on and went to get my mom and was barely getting dressed and I asked if she got her nose cleaned and she said no. Hmmmm alrighty. And lastly, it was not 60 minutes. I know this is long but I tried keeping it short. This place had horrible service and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Unprofessional, unsanitary, impolite and just half assed their service. Save your time and money cuz this place was a dump. read more

Sherri does an AMAZING job at threading/eyebrow work. If you have never done this and want your face to look amazing especially your eyes go see her. She is sweet and very thorough and takes her time. Big differences compared to other salons that do threading. Waxing is not the way to go, once you've tried threading 1-2 times you will never go back to waxing and you will see a huge difference on how good you look or better you look. Ambers Salon is easy to get to and very competitive in terms of cost. Easy in and easy out. They are nice ladies here so give them a try! read more

I have been going to Amber's for over a year now. I am surpised by some of the comments about the mis-shaped eyebrows because I have had a few different people there thread my eyebrows and they have come out fine. I do have to say that Maya is the best and I only go to her now. It seems as if others have figured that out too because sometimes there's a little bit of a wait for her... she's definitely worth it. The prices are great at $7 for eyebrows and I think I pay $5 for the upper lip. I do agree with some of the reviews that you will be asked where you get your hair done or if you'd like to get a facial but it doesn't bother me that they ask. I did have Amber, the owner trim my hair about 2 months ago and was pleased with the way it came out. It was $35 for a haircut and blow out. The salon isn't anything fancy, but I appreciate that it's clean, they offer good service, and they keep the prices reasonably low. I have send a few friends there and they too have been pleased. I found this lovely place on Living Social and I'm VERY happy I did! Amber is the owner and was incredibly nice and so so generous! She went above and beyond to help calm my acne and she was so kind to me. I received the acne facial, The spa creams she used smelled wonderful! and she used so many tricks of the trade and special equipment to really help me out.
