I just started going after my friend recommended this place and I absolutely love it! Shery does my eyebrows and she is the sweets gal ever!

I just got my eyebrows done here. First and last time I'll go to Amber's. I have thick brown hair so for my face i made it clear to her that i DON'T look good with thin eyebrows, yet she still managed to make them too thin. After finishing the first eyebrow i thought, "okay not bad for $5" but when i saw her finish the second one, they didnt effing match!!! :( I have two different shaped eyebrows and if she tried fixing them they would only be even thinner. So i left the salon with thin, misshaped brows. I'd rather spend more and get matching eyebrow than ever go back to Amber's. The customer is always right so when i say don't make them thin, listen to me!!! So frustrating!!!! read more

I use to go to Laguna hills mall (down the street) because it was closer until they did a horrible job. Amber fixed my eye brows and made them look beautiful. I also get my underarms waxed. I've never had a bad experience here. read more

I really I like to go to this natural threading salon and have my eyebrows done by miss cherry , she knows how to do her job and she knows me for over two years now and I am happy with this salon the new owner has new ideas when she finishes threading she massages your upper face and feels great after, thank you for your good job. read more

I rarely write reviews, unless they are positive, however, I was disappointed in this Groupon purchase. The esthetician was very nice, but the facility was unkept. I don't think anything was sanitary, the products used and the treatment did nothing to an overall pleasing result. it was an uncomfortable bed, and it was cold. Too much noise outside the room, and a huge fluorescent light that was over the facial room, was shinning in my eyes. I was looking forward to being pampered, relaxing in a quiet, dark room. I left feeling stressed!!! read more

Totally messed up my brows then lied about it and filled it in with a pencil to cover up her screw up. She claimed my eyebrows weren't fully grown out when they were. I hadnt had them done in over 4 months. Dont go to them!They have a liar working there. Check your brow before they pencil them in. They are totally uneven.Any threader that uses a pencil to cover up mistakes arent good as she claim. I have never had to draw in my brows.it truly sucks. I like being natural.Always take a before photo of your brows!if i had i would file a lawsuit against her and the business.this is a bad business dont go there.very dishonest! read more

I always come here to get my eyebrows threaded. It's $8 which is cheaper than most of the threading places around here. Amber does a very good job - she really takes her time and puts in the effort to get all of the tiny hairs, so my eyebrows are always on point. Plus, she's very sweet! Went here for a facial after purchasing a Living Social deal. Everything was good, so they must've taken note from the few bad reviews earler on. Amber (owner) did my facial, she was very friendly. I liked that she didn't try to sell me anything either during or after the facial. My skin looked great and while it may be wishful thinking, my 2 sun spots do see a tiny bit lighter! Yay! Only suggestion was that the music did seem a little loud, but other than that, this small shop is a hidden gem. read more

Okay!!! So i bought a Living Social special for Facial for this location. The offer was ridiculously low and let's just say that I was desperate to get a Facial done incredibly soon. So, I called and the owner took me in right away, which I must give it to her credit. So, upon my arrival the owner who is also the main lady who does the facials was too busy to see me coz apparently she is the only one that runs the salon. It was also supper annoying to know that their was absolutely no demarcation between one facial room to another and basically the person next door can see you and you can see them. Thirdly, they have no air-conditioning in this place and imagine trying to relax in 105 degrees. Not so much fun! The lady who ended up doing my facial had no idea even on how to turn the machine on and had such pointed nails that she kept apologizing the whole time during the facial that she had no idea she was doing a facial today otherwise would have cut them. All in all, would not recommend if you looking to get some quality in your service but yah if it's all about the money for you then perhaps its the place for you. read more

bought a Groupon for a 60-minute facial from here. upon entrance, i was a little wary and not altogether impressed by the appearance of the salon, and even during the facial, i was worried about the results. however, my skin looks and feels amazing. fay did a great job. she did not cut the facial short like some salons, but the facial even extended over an hour because i added a microdermabrasion ($20) add-on. the microdermabrasion was a good decision on my part because it made a big difference. my skin is super radiant now. the service is professional and i might return. overall, good experience. read more

I came to Ambers Beauty and Threading from a living social deal, and I am sure to return! The customer service was fantastic! If you want a salon that really cares about you and what you want to do for your beauty needs, and you want a very loving set of women to provide it for you, then this is the place to go! I am naturally blonde but have my hair colored red (which is a VERY tricky color) and most of the time when I get my hair done I get the wrong red and then have to wait for it to fade to get the right color, BUT Amber really worked with me and got my hair the absolute closest ANYONE has ever gotten it towards the red that I was seeking! The only person that should do your eyebrows here is Maya!!! Aside from always being friendly and kind, she does an amazing job on threading. I'm Asian, so my eyebrow hairs are very fine. She is skilled in that she can shape and trim my eyebrows without thinning them out. I use the Anastasia duo eyebrow powder and when I freshly get my eyebrows done its so easy to just apply it on and it looks so natural. I don't have to build shape because Maya threads it so well. Also when she shapes my eyebrows, she works with the way my hair goes so the shape is very natural. The topper, it's only $7 to get your brows done here. :) read more
