There is a parking garage next to this storefront that is partially public parking and partially residential. The public parking is three dollars for 30 minutes. You have to pay it on your cell phone, and they charge a $1.20 service fee. So 30 minutes of parking is actually $4.20. This was just enough time for us to go inside order sit to eat and get back to the car with five minutes to spare. Luckily, we went in during a slow period, because we were able to order right away. Also, there is only bar top seating with four barstools, so it was the perfect amount of seats for those in my group who were eating. Most people who came behind us did a grab and go.

The ambience once we entered was also pretty rough. Very sticky with a film over everything. They surely have a gnat problem. This place needs a good cleaning. Customer service was virtually nonexistent even before we arrived; I had called beforehand to make sure they didn't mysteriously close early as many ATL spots tend to do, and the woman on the line sounded absolutely miserable that I even asked. That energy was felt firsthand inside. But I'll give them a fair rating because their brownie sundae was good, and my husband enjoyed what he got as well. Good portions for the price. Extra points for being open kinda late. It just wasn't memorable because the environment was quite depressing. Last resort, not my first option.

She was working all by herself and did an amazing job. Even being by herself, she was very fast to take our orders and serve us while multitasking some other milkshake orders. Both my friend and I got single scoops - brownie batter and birthday cake. They scoops were HUGE for the price, and the icecream tasted amazing. This icecream shop is located inside a food mall, so there is plenty of parking, other food options, and seating. There are also bathrooms available and the entire foot hall is very clean.

The next day, my colleague ordered ahead and got a box so I got to taste a variety of scronuts. It tasted like a slightly crispier coffee cake. Now, it's still $1-$3 more expensive per item than most other Asian bakeries I've been to and that certainly adds up if you're grabbing multiple items. My last visit I dropped about $28 with tip for two bakery items, a tiny cream puff and a matcha latte whereas I've gotten a big bag full of items at Family Baking for $25. And one thing I can definitively say is that this place does not do well with drinks, and that's largely dependent on who the barista is when you walk in. If you are looking for ceremonial grade matcha, you will not find it here. Expect pre-mixed powders and sweeteners in most things, which in my opinion is just lazy. Selecting "no sugar" will still produce a sweet drink. I usually steer clear of the teas but coffee should be okay. It works in a pinch to fix a craving sometimes, and H&G Downtown will continue to be that for me. Extra points for occasionally being open late.
