They are no longer a brick and mortar business. However, they sell their flour online and it's AMAZING!

Lately, I haven't been that big on sweets. It has to be really special for me to be willing to use…read moreup my calories. But my husband had been here before and insisted I try something and OMG... EXCELLENT doesn't even begin to cover it. We had the Sticky Bun Croissant (topped with buttercream icing and a caramel-y, slightly hardened bottom) and--HELP JESUS. That thing is PHENOMENAL. Like... immediate silence once we started eating. We also grabbed a slice of the 15-layer chocolate cake (layers of cake, chocolate ganache, and chocolate mousse) and it was straight-up fantastic. Even the bottled drinks were great--I had a sparkling pink grapefruit drink that was really good. My husband previously had the carrot cake bread pudding and still talks about it like it changed his life. Everything... and I mean EVERYTHING we tasted was nothing short of amazing. We literally went back 20 minutes later to grab something to bring to my mother-in-love who lives in another state. That's how serious it was. They also have a few celebratory alcoholic beverages if you're grabbing items for a party, event, or special occasion. And they make beautiful baked goods for events too, so definitely check them out if you've got something coming up. Lady Ray's also offers tea parties! You do need to book in advance, but the setup was so intimate, elegant, and cute. I didn't take a photo of the party while it was happening, but I was genuinely impressed. Such a fun idea for a girlfriends' outing. And Lady Ray herself? Absolutely beautiful, both inside and out. Her friendly demeanor, great sense of humor, and service-oriented heart make you want to come back again and again. If you're anywhere near Lady Ray's, I highly recommend stopping by. Your taste buds will thank you.

The first course was a delicious earl grey with scones, the second was a chamomile tea with the tea sandwiches (YUM), and the third was either a cinnamon tea or a peppermint tea with all the sweets (I'm sure the variety may change over time). We were super full by the end and couldn't even finish half of all the goodies, so we got a to-go box to take the rest home. For the price ($38.99 per person) it was nice to get so much to eat and drink!

One strawberry sprinkle that is just a pink frosted donut not actually strawberry as they told us and one red velvet with white frosting. Both of those were super dry cake donuts and the red velvet tasted nothing like red velvet tasted like a basic dry cake donut. Sad I really wanted to like them but I was just disappointed.

My family and I went here for ice cream after having lunch at the City Food Hall. They had a good variety of flavors for both ice cream and gelato. My wife and my son got their favorite choice of gelato flavors. I went with Blood Orange and Mango sorbetto flavors. Their gelato and sorbetto are homemade. Their ice cream is provided by Blue Bell. The gelato and sorbetto flavors were good. I liked my choice of Blood Orange. It was refreshing and delicious. The Mango flavor was good as well. We had a good experience here. The service was nice and friendly. The shop was clean and inviting. I would go back here if I am in Destin again. Definitely check them out if you haven't before.

We visited The Local Market because we kept hearing they had "the best Cuban in Destin." After…read moreeating there, I honestly do not understand the hype at all. First off, this is not a real Cuban sandwich. The bread was completely wrong. Real Cuban bread, especially if you've ever had one from Ybor City in Tampa, has a very specific texture and press. I even explained before ordering that I only wanted the outside pressed and toasted, while the inside stays cool. That's how an authentic Cuban is made. Instead, they brought out a sandwich that was heated completely through. The meat, cheese, everything inside was hot. It completely ruined the sandwich. When I politely asked about it, the employee seemed irritated and had an attitude about remaking it. They eventually brought another one out, but honestly it still was not good. The bread tasted wrong and the sandwich itself just wasn't enjoyable. It got worse from there. My grandson ordered chicken tenders and fries. The tenders were bad, and the fries tasted like old grease that should have been changed hours earlier. My wife ordered a shredded chicken and cheese sandwich that honestly smelled questionable, like the chicken may have been turning. The final straw was the fruit cup having visible mold growing in it. At that point we lost our appetite and decided to leave. Very disappointing experience overall. Poor food quality, bad execution, and not worth the money. We will not be returning.

Gotta love local!!!…read more Got some pizza here on a week day during our Fl summer vaca b/c we were looking for something locally owened. Got the hawaiian, pepperoni and cheesy bread. All super good! Crust was a thin crust, not too paper thin though, so a nice in between of thin and regular. The cheesy bread was SOOOO good! The cheese on the bread was nice and thick and gooey! A+++ on the cheese bread in my opinion. Great helping of cheese. So if you just want cheesy bread that's light or mid on the cheese I would recommend clarifying your preference b/c they're serious about the CHEESE part of the bread! Called ahead to see what the busiest times are and typical wait times, b/c wasn't sure if we should order assuming longer wait times or if we should wait to order until closer to being ready to be hungry enough for everyone to eat. Called and the gal on the phone was SOOO nice and friendly, advised week day order before 5pm and will be ready within 30 mins. Advised we'll order before 5 and will probably put order online and she asked for my name and advised she'll keep an eye for my name to come through, which I thought was just an extra step of nice courtesy that I wasn't expecting and just thought that was so thoughtful! Was about $90 for two big pizzas and the cheesy bread, but SO worth it. The pizzas were also BIG! So was very happy with the portion sizes. Happy to spend this money for the quality and supporting local owned establishments that put out quality product! I would recommend purchasing here over other franchised chains.
