A little disappointed with the order I received this morning. The box of minis tasted stale and the outside of the box was covered in sticky chocolate(?) handprints, despite the box being sealed and clean on the inside (no sign of the chocolate sauce spilling) and plastic bag also being sealed. The coffee, however, was affordable and pretty good. The espresso is on the weaker side, so getting a "less sweet" latte is probably the move if you're a coffee lover. It has become a tradition to stop at Parlor Doughnuts when we travel. This was not the exception. If you're coming in the morning expect the long line but moves along. The parking is limited and the front can feel a bit crammed with the line. We order breakfast sandwiches this time and they were good. I was tired of hotel coffee and I was disappointed to finally get to order and be told they had no regular brew coffee. I then opted for a latte which she charged me full price for. I don't know, it wasn't my fault they didn't have brew coffee and have to pay more for something I really didn't want. I obviously hadn't had my coffee yet so I left it as is. Was surprised by the generous portion of the breakfast tacos. Would recommend warming doughnuts slightly. Employees could use some customer service training... honestly, that's my biggest takeaway from this visit. We are staying at club Destin, so we walked across the parking lot to try Parlor Doughnuts and it did not disappoint! These are cake donuts and they are absolutely amazing!! So this time of year they make them to order so even if they don't have them in the case, you just tell them what you want and they will go back and make them and it takes between 15 and 20 minutes. And I will just say this, it is totally worth it being fresh! Everyone we had was amazing! But I think my favorite was turtle cheesecake. Or was it the maple bacon? :) read more

Parlor was a must-have according to my teenage niece when I visited her in Destin recently. She had the chocolate chocolate, I had the Sandy Beach, and we grabbed a Turtle Cheesecake for her mom. All of them were fantastic, unique flavors. The Sandy Beach was a fun take on a classic glazed donut. The Turtle Cheesecake was sweet and creamy and amazing. The croissant donuts are amazing. 10 out of 10 recommend. Not to sweet. Not too doughy. Really enjoyed them. And prices accordingly. Service- 1 out of 10. One gentleman came from the back to the insane crowd down (shows how good they are). He was all smiles. The three women working while we were there were less than anything friendly. The one ringing people up was yawning nonstop and not even trying to cover her mouth or anything. Like it's the customers fault she got the early shift and didn't plan her sleep accordingly. She was gruff with all of the customers. When we ordered coffee drinks she seemed put out and she wasn't even the one making them. Very unpleasant person. The two making the coffee drinks were slow and overwhelmed. It took 20 minutes to get them. The cashier said it was going to be 10-15 minutes and seemed annoyed when we said we still wanted them. The system definitely needs upgrading. People usually want coffee with their donuts and there needs to be a quicker way, especial when they are such a popular spot. The outside of the building is definitely intriguing and cute. It's what caught our attention and made us want to look up the menu. Inside could use some cleaning. I actually stopped here three times before I was finally able to get donuts. We stayed in Destin for a week and several employees at the resort highly recommended to us the Parlor Donut shop just down the way. The first time I went, the line was out the door and realized there were another 25-30 people ahead of me inside. Not wanting to take too long, I decided to get up earlier and return another day. I am so glad I did. The staff was wonderful! They recommended I sign up for the rewards program which knocked off $5 off of my initial order. I picked up two pumpkin chai donuts, a lemon bar donut and a chocolate frosted sprinkle donut. While I was waiting, I tried one of their citrus-y energizer drinks which should NOT be missed. It was wonderful. The staff were absolutely delightful and happy to make suggestions. The donuts are massive - roughly 4-5 dollars a piece but completely worth it. I look forward to coming back and tryin another donut. They also offer a full coffee bar but I had already had coffee for the morning. It smelled wonderful.
