Our back yard slopes toward our basement door...during moderate to heavy rains water flows into our basement...Joe came looked over everything...gave us a reasonable estimate in a short amount of time...his crew were punctual, well equipped, and efferent...Nature Redesigned installed a drain to mitigate the problem...the team moved the stones and pavers...since it was impossible to get machinery to the back of the house...they hand dug a trench...installed the drain and replaced everything...looks like they were never here...outside of the drain they installed. read more

Paid $8k for a stone patio. They didn't level it correctly, water either pools on the patio or comes up to the house. They didn't install the black poly sand correctly. It's stained white from leftover poly and now it's pulling away from the stones and bubbling up. read more

It has taken me years to write this review. We hired Joe in July, 2022. He seemed professional, fairly priced, and his on-line presence seemed to support the job he promised to do. We hired him to lay sod for us and to build a small grill patio. His team came to lay the sod as discussed, but he didn't call me until a week later with instructions on how to maintain it once it was down. I had to look online because he was on vacation. The sod was very inconsistent in growing. An experienced landscaper told me that Joe's team did not properly prep the ground under the portions that have fully died. Still to this day, it looks like crap, and we need to have it redone. I paid him timely for that portion of the job before I knew that it wasn't properly installed, even overnighting his payment to him since he wasn't around to pick it up from me. That's part 1. Part 2 is the deck that he NEVER installed. If I had known that he'd back out of part of the job, I would not have paid him until it was fully finished. I had a written quote from him, the professional, only to have him call me and tell me that he couldn't find the pavers to do the deck. I explained to him several times that the pavers did not matter to me as long as the color scheme was consistent. I was not being very picky, but it was really important that I have my small grill patio. After several phone calls, me insisting that any paver would work, and him insisting that I either had to pay more for a larger patio or he could do the size I wanted, but I would have to pay for a whole pallet of supplies and keep the extras, it was never done. He fully backed out of this part after quoting me in writing for the full job - Part 1 and Part 2. I did not have it in my budget to build a larger patio nor did I want extra supplies for an additional $650 just because him, the professional, did not properly plan for the job when quoting me the price. Do not trust him! And you may ask why I'm just writing this... It's because part of me always hoped that he would get back in touch with me and do the job he promised. He never did, and at this point, after the feedback on his sod job from others with experience who see how crappy it came out due to his team's lack of proper installation, I probably don't want him doing it anyways. Be careful when hiring this so-called professional. read more

I paid $8k for a stone patio and they installed the polymer sand incorrectly. They used black polymer sand and there is leftover white polymer on top. It looks like white stains. Months later, the polymer sand is now has bubbles. Joe said he would come by to fix it and never showed up. He was more expensive but I was swayed by the pictures of some of his other work. Doesn't show up, does not make good on his work, and employees don't know how to install materials properly. Would not use again. read more

Joe Shaw was the most responsive of several landscapers that I contacted. We were trying to get quotes to have our front yard redesigned after having a front porch and master suite added to our home. Joe's quote was comparable to others but his prompt responses and friendly manner are what prompted us to choose Nature Redesigned for our project. We made the right choice. We are more than pleased with the outcome and have faith that Joe stands by his work and his word. He is a man of integrity. Joe and Nature Redesigned did an excellent job with my front yard landscaping. Joe had great ideas for the design and his team worked quickly and professionally. You can really tell the difference between companies who are just doing a job and companies who really care about a job. Nature Redesigned really seems to care. AND Joe's quote was nearly a grand less than one of the bigger landscaping companies I contacted. Would hire again! read more
