Walls don't go all the way up to the ceiling.

I was looking for a place to get a massage and read reviews of a few. Natures Health Spa had glowing reviews and offered a discount for first timers. Welp, This was an interesting experience...this'll be a long one... The parking right out front is limited. Basically 2 spots per business. So you have to park around back. Inside, the spa is quaint, cute, and clean. You encounter soothing / meditation music, that you hear in all the rooms bc the room walls don't go to the ceiling. You also hear when the masseuse is pounding or smacking on the client in the next room.. I was led to a room but was not told what to do so I just sat there waiting. I booked with Lisa but I don't know if that's who I got bc she didn't introduce herself. But she was shocked that I wasn't in a prepared state for the massage. There was a language barrier and she spoke with a tool that translated. What she asked was "Is it dry" and I was HIGHLY confused and slightly concerned. She had me speak into the tool and explain I wasn't told to do anything hence why I was not ready. Time for the massage... I don't know if I haven't had one in quite some time and I'm out of touch or they just do things differently... I'm used to massages for the length of my back, stopping just above my bum, and then legs slightly lower than my bum... she did it all. And it was rather unnerving (especially when she left the room and came back with the hot stones only for me to see she left the door ajar)!! When she wiped the oil off, she was VERY close a certain area that's usually avoided during a massage. Back to the language barrier thing...I have had massage therapists ask me what my problem areas are and if the pressure was too much... not this time. Maybe it was my knots but it felt like she was digging her elbows in...again, may have been my knots but holy moly was I wincing!! As I stated, just an interesting experience overall...

Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted and asked to identify any areas of discomfort, along with our preferred pressure level (soft, medium, or deep). I was then taken to my room. The rooms are separated by partitions, so while there is some noise from other sessions, it didn't take away too much from the experience. Highlights: * Friendly and efficient check-in process * Customizable massage pressure and focus areas * Skilled and attentive masseuses * Free parking behind the shopping center My masseuse, Miss Kitty, was excellent. I requested a deep tissue massage, and she did not disappoint. She worked through multiple knots in my upper back that had likely been there for months and also addressed some lower back pain I'd been experiencing. At times, the pressure was a bit intense, but when I asked her to ease up, she adjusted immediately. After the session, I was offered a small bottle of water at the front desk. The total came to $85 (credit card) for a 60-minute massage, plus tip. Overall, a great experience--I would definitely request Miss Kitty again!

The therapist said she'll call me in a few days to see how I was doing; I'm not sure why this would be necessary, but nonetheless, I did not receive a call. Peculiar. Overall, just a lack of value here so I won't be returning and would not recommend.

If you are lucky enough you may find parking behind the building. But make sure to pull up to the front and inform the front desk of your appointment at The Teal Center before parking. Upon entering, it was a calm & peaceful environment, which you will experience throughout your visit. I was greeted by a nice front desk lady. Shortly after, Crystal introduced herself and escorted me to my room. It was my first visit, so she went through all of my info and together we discussed pertinent issues. Her bedside manner, the way she speaks, and her therapy session was so calming and refreshing. I learned quite a few things from Crystal that I can implement in my daily life. She loves what she does and you can really see that. She really does care. I can not wait to see her again!
