1-Star Review Very disappointing experience with Nature's Supply Centre. I called on Tuesday of this week specifically looking for Bermuda sod by the piece. The woman I spoke with told me that Friday is when their fresh sod is delivered and advised me to come early before they opened because the sod is first come, first serve. Based on that information, I made the trip early Friday morning expecting that I would have an opportunity to purchase Bermuda sod by the piece. Showed up 30 minutes prior to their opening waiting for them to open. When I arrived, I was told by the owner that the Bermuda sod was actually allocated to preordered pallets, and that they only sell it by the piece if there happens to be leftover sod or a no-show. That was never explained to me during my phone call. There was no mention that availability by the piece was dependent on leftovers or cancellations. Had I been given that information over the phone, I would have made a completely different decision about making the trip and certainly wouldn't have waited all week What was especially frustrating was that after I explained why I had come, the only solution offered was essentially to come back again next Friday and do it all again. There was no real attempt to address the fact that I had made the trip based on the information I was given. I completely understand that inventory can be unpredictable. What I don't understand is why a customer calling ahead can't simply be given accurate information about how that inventory is actually allocated. I followed the instructions I was given, showed up early on the exact day I was told to come, and ultimately wasted several hours of my morning for nothing. Hopefully they can improve the communication between their staff and customers, because this was an extremely frustrating experience. read more

First delivery was great that was several years ago when Daniel was the driver, he was very careful and actually loaded it perfectly on the spot. I asked him to load it. Second order was delivered by another person not Daniel and supposedly only loaded 3 yd.³ rather than 4 yd.³ The mulch with the orange yardstick represents the 3 yd.³ which I felt was smaller than 3 yd.³ judge for yourself read more

Great service and flexible. Ordered a load of crush run and 257 and then changed my mind. They were willing to adjust the order. Note their delivery truck is 2-wheel drive so likely can't get into your yard for fear of getting stuck and costing them "$1200" to be towed out. read more

I was lucky enough today to get my order delivered almost immediately ( because they had a cancellation) My gain! They delivered the soil to exactly where I needed it. Lots of gravel in my rock order. I'd expect some bit clearly they shipped over the "bottom of the barrel" without a care or concern. Get your rocks elsewhere. This place is not worth the money based on my experience. read more

I wish I could have said we had a better experience but as first time customers doing our first big outdoor project we feel like they could have done so much better. We visited this location twice. Once to just see inventory and ask a few preliminary questions and get a rental idea for pricing. on this first visit no one came out to greet us no one sad anything to us, which was fine because we were truly just there to see what they had available. When we did go in, the two people we spoke with couldn't really answer any of our questions in any certain terms which was a bit off-putting. Then again a few weeks later when we were moving forward and decided to go wot this com-any over others as they were similar pricing but the delivery was cheeper due to proximity to our homes location. We spoke with a Colt who was knowledgeable, personable and professional we placed out order and they were able to deliver same day which was a big perk. At this point I was thinking it would be a great experience moving forward but boy did that not happen... Our biggest complaints that the guy they had deliver our order clearly should not be. He either doesn't understand how to use the equipment or needs a refresher. We had two separate deliveries on the same day. Both times he screwed up. The first delivery he dumped a huge pile of rock in the street way out in front of our home. Waisting our money and time. He also proceeded to ask us if we could "take care of it" so he didn't have to. LOL you must be kidding. Absolutely not. He made the mess he needed to clean it up and the finish the delivery. He did so but not until later and after asking us to do it twice (more below) because evidently their trust has no emergency or parking break)...only after we told him exactly what to do because he literally said "well I'm not quite sure how to get it back up" he also asked my husband to get in the truck and hold the breaks and "bounce" the product out of the truck. My husband, who has never operated a dump truck and should not be doing so. It did not look or feel safe. Not to mention had something happened in our very steep driveway where is the liability? He needed to have two people delivering clearly but there was only one. When he returned with the second delivery he did have a second person but again asked my husband to help operate the truck rather than his partner. Though out this delivery the second person litterly stood around and watched but said nothing and did nothing. He then proceeded to miss the tarp by more than 50%. Which harmed our grass further than it needed to. This also meant that there was far more yard debris (leaves, sticks, foliage, etc) in our top rock than there should have been. This is just not professional. He then, once again asked us to clean up his mess that he made int h street in front of our home and neighbors homes and when we said no he took care of it but again my husband suggested the method that he used because he wasn't sure how to do it. Truly wild. My last complaint is that we were very clear on how much we needed and knew what it should have cost. We were charged more than what we discussed. While we did receive more than what we discussed, it's still wild to dump a bunch of product at someone home that they didn't order and don't have use for and just charge them for it. The item in question is charged by weight so sending more is just a way to add more many to the fee. We now have 5 extra boulders (we said clearly that we would need between 14-16 and they delivered 19) that we did not order or need and have to figure out something to do with because it's not like we can return them. Thank God my husband can lift them without an equipment rental. We will need to get more top rocks to add after some setting but we will be going elsewhere. read more

They have the best pine straw that's not filled with a lot of junk. They're firewood is seasoned hardwood and will burn a long time. These kiln dried firewood you find for $8 or $9 a pack it's like paper it'll burn in a flash. Buy seasoned hardwood. They have a great selection of stones for outside fire pits walkways that's a great little business. Be sure and check their hours before you go to pick anything up. I went in to get some rocks for my parking pad that is in bad shape. These guys went so above and beyond to help me. They calculated how much i needed, then asked the right questions to make sure i didn't get more than i needed. And didn't get overcharged. Then they set up to deliver and spread my rocks on the same day.. The driver showed up and asked me where i wanted it and how I wanted it. Then spread the rocks for me on one shot. It's was absolutely perfect! They pretty much gave me a brand new driveway delivered and installed for $328.. For a 30 ft driveway! The cheapest estimate i got from anyone else was $1650... They did it for $328. I've bought sod, rocks, all kinds of stuff for my house from them and they are always super nice and helpful. They've been there forever and know their business. Don't waste your time elsewhere. One stop and you're done with Nature Supply Centre. Locally owned. They know their area and the people. And they're actually helpful. When you inquire, the staff--particularly the woman at the counter--is unprofessional and unhelpful, often avoiding direct answers and making no effort to assist in finding alternatives. My contractor ordered fill dirt and granite gravel for retaining walls he's building in my backyard. The fill dirt has chunks of concrete throughout. the gravel that was delivered turned out to be concrete gravel, not granite! I wonder how often they do that hoping no one notices? I asked owner to come take a look at the fill dirt because the pictures I sent just couldn't show how bad this dirt was. he sent out a guy who proceeded to critique my contractor who has 40 years experience, twice the experience he has. He also told me I needed to google "how to build retaining walls". This company has worst business ethics of anyone I've ever dealt with. DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE OF USING THEM! read more

Probably the worst service I have received in a while. I initially called to order Bermuda TifTuff. The guy I spoke to seemed nice and the order placement went fine. I was ordering sod to cover a yard that's less than 300 sq ft. He told me that the order would be delivered at 9am on the day requested. On the day of installation, my landscapers showed up 10mins early as I had told them the sod would be delivered at 9am. They started preparing the yard, and I called Nature's Supply to make sure the sod would be delivered on time. Curtis, the guy I spoke to, said that there was no way the sod would even have been delivered at 9am so whoever told me that time was wrong. First problem - lying to customers about delivering times. He said the earliest they would get it to me was 10:30am. My installation guys left once they were done. At this point, I had started loosing money since I was running behind. The delivery guy showed up at 10:10am and unloaded the sod. I expressed my disappointment at their service, but I suppose he was not the right person to receive my complaint. He inloaded and left. Here's problem No. 2. When the installers returned, they told me the sod was actually TifWay and not TifTuff. When I called back to verify, Curtis said they don't stock TifTuff. So that's lie No. 2 that the person I spoke to originally told me. At this point, I told him how disappointed I was and asked for a credit. He said he would check into it and call me back. I have not heard back from him. Lie No. 3. Today, they have charged my credit card more than what they told me they were going to charge. Absolutely DO NOT do business with this company. read more

I've always had good, friendly service here but today proved to be the worst service I've ever received at any retail establishment. I needed some stone for a small project. The guy at the desk was joking about me needing a shovel to load it into my car myself because he wasn't going to do it. After taking my money and directing me where to park, I waited for 25 minutes watching everyone with pickup trucks get their orders loaded. Apparently, he wasn't joking about me loading my own materials. When I went in to get a refund, no one even questioned why. They never had any intention of helping me and they have now lost a regular residential customer. If you're not really open to the public, don't advertise that you are. read more
