I am such a fan of Nauti Cow! I stumbled upon this place 4 years ago when I was trying to find vegan ice cream on the vineyard, and I'm so glad I did. Now it's a must stop each time I go to the vineyard. It's a bit hidden around the corner from most other spots on the strip, but it's worth walking a little further to visit. The owner and staff are really kind. My most favorite thing they have is the gf/vegan ice cream sandwich! The cookies are thick but also soft, and I love that they don't crumble Even though there's ice cream in between. The ice cream is great but not too sweet. I highly recommend if you're gf and/or dairy free.There's no where to sit inside, so be prepared to walk around to find somewhere to sit and enjoy your treat. read more

Came to Visit Martha's Vineyard and immediately stumbled upon this cute ice cream spot. The words "vegan" and "gluten free" captured my attention right away and had to come in and try! I was able to sample the vegan cookie dough and their matcha flavored ice cream and just had to get a scoop each! The lovely women behind the counter recommended adding strawberries, to which they make the Jam themselves. Which was also delicious. I had a fabulous time talking with the ladies and telling me their story! I enjoyed every bite and loveddd the cookie dough! While waiting for our table at Lookout Tavern we wandered around looking for potential dessert spots. We saw the clever "Nauti Cow" and "organic" on the sign outside and immediately needed to check it out. They offer both hard and soft ice cream. Only the soft serve is organic. You choose your base (dairy or vegan) and flavor. The flavor (syrup) is added to the base and blended. The banana flavor was excellent. Subtle, and not too sweet. The black raspberry & cheesecake blend was also a perfect blend of flavors. Staff was very friendly and helpful guiding us through the ordering process. We'd come back again for sure! read more

Our experience was great... commenting of the bad reviews one must wonder... was it a prior owner? Melting ice cream is a good sign... no chemicals...stabilizers.. but some of the other stuff from 2019 and 2020 was inexcusible.. Hope that employee is long gone and hopefully it was not the owner. If the owner I spoke with can be believed, I can say it was truly a pleasure to have a shop deliver quality food items with gluten and dairy free options. We loved it. read more

At Nauti Cow, they have options for everyone and go to a whole lot of trouble to do so. They mix vegan flavors on the spot into their vegan soft serve base. They have gluten free ice creams without cross contamination (new scoops every time) and even gluten free cookies for ice cream sandwiches! They keep toppings aside for folks who are allergic to nuts. Between vegan and dairy soft serve, hard ice cream, and shakes, Nauti Cow literally does it all. We had "the BEST ice cream EVER" according to my kids at the Nauti Cow! The woman at the counter was an absolute doll! She allowed my kids to try some flavors as they couldn't decide what they wanted! My son got a chocolate ice cream and a vanilla based ice cream with cookie dough, M&M's and other delicious treats. My daughter got a strawberry ice cream with rainbow sprinkles! From start to finish this place was a 10 out of 10! On a sidenote, I left my phone outside of the ice cream shop and didn't realize it until the ferry was already on its way back to Hyannis. I was able to get a hold of the owner and he graciously had his staff look outside to find it during their peak hours of business! He even went so far as to have one of his staff bring it to the ferry so that I didn't have to buy a ferry ticket to come back to get it! We stumbled into this shop as a reward for biking what felt like for hours around Martha's Vineyard. Soft serve ice cream was an enticing reprieve from sore quads and Nauti Cow was exactly what we were craving. The shop is competing again denizens of other locations scoop shops so to stand out they have an option to make flavored soft serve by mixing in flavored syrups. I got tiramisu and it was delicious! The owner makes all their vegan offerings with coconut milk in house. Over priced mediocre and melted soft serve. The ice cream could not even be dipped into sprinkles because it was so melted in the cone already. They do not have 27 flavors.. they have vanilla and mix in toppings to create more flavors. All this mixing turns the soft serve into a runny mess that will fall off your cone before walking out the door. The person behind the counter grabbed sprinkles with her hands and pushed them into the ice cream. The whole experience was so bizarre. read more

Yesterday evening (August 13th) at approximately 9:30pm I observed this restaurant's White waitress scream at Black patrons in response to a respectful question regarding the shop's flavors. All five patrons immediately left without purchasing anything. She then followed them outside and described the young man who asked the question as "obviously uneducated" before returning to the store. Her behavior was egregious and racist. I strongly advise this establishment's owner to immediately relieve this waitress of her duties and ensure that all future staffers undergo client management training. Such unimaginably rude behavior will definitely lead to the demise of this ice cream parlor if left unchecked. read more

Came in with my brother in-law a couple of nights ago. When we entered, another customer was tasting samples but still deciding on what to order. The customer told us that we could go ahead and order since he was not ready; however, the cashier promptly responded with "No, you were here first." We thought this was a bit strange to not allow us to order given that the other customer had offered us to go ahead of him while he decided; nonetheless, we did not make any fuss about it. Once it was our turn, my brother in-law asked if there were any other flavors available not listed on the menu. The cashier told us that they had cookie dough. My brother in-law turned to explain that there were additional flavors when another member of our party walked in to join us. When he turned back to order from the cashier, she promptly stated "listen, I am the boss and I'm telling you that we only have cookie dough in the back." All members of our party became very confused and my brother in-law attempted to explain to her that he was only conveying the additional off menu flavor to the group; however, the cashier continued to escalate the interaction, telling us that we were being rude and that she does not understand why people are being rude when they're supposed to be on vacation. Again, we were all very confused and decided against patronizing the establishment having received such poor customer service. We walked outside and as we were walking away, the cashier cane out behind us saying "your friend is very uneducated." This was truly I acceptable. We were all having a great day/vacation experience and this certainly soured the day for my group and I. I am unsure of if this cashier may have had experience with another group earlier in the day and had misplaced anger/frustration toward us; however, this is inexcusable on her part. My family and I have been vacationing on the Vineyard year after year for some time now and I can certainly say that we WILL NOT be patronizing this establishment in the future. read more

The employee providing service misunderstood his question and proceeded to yell at him even as he calmly attempted to clarify. My family and I decided to leave after being disrespected, and the employee decided to leave the counter and come out to tell me that my brother is "uneducated." I'm not sure what the source of this person's disdain was for a person making a reasonable request in an ice cream shop, but it was wholly unacceptable. Stopped into the Nauti cow because they offer VEGAN ice cream and vegan toppings and other options!!!! Went back two other times after the first day because of how amazing it is. It is such a cool concept as well where you can add whatever flavor to your choice of ice cream base (vanilla or vegan coconut). Their speciality was delicious creamy flavorful soft serve but they also had a few great hard serve flavors as well. I highly recommend the maple nut flavor which was insanely delicious. Also the owner is a one woman show and is doing an incredible job. She is working seven days a week opening and closing alone right now due to everything going on. I HIGHLY recommend this place.
