Normally, that wouldn't be a big deal--except I had just watched several white customers on either side of me receive samples without any issue. They were treated kindly and allowed to sample flavors, while I was denied the exact same courtesy. As a Black customer, the stark difference in treatment was impossible for me to ignore. Based on what I personally witnessed, I felt singled out and treated differently because of my race. I don't make an accusation of racial bias lightly, but when customers immediately around me are being accommodated and I'm denied the same basic service, it's reasonable to question why. What makes this even more disturbing is that after my experience, I came across another review from a Black customer describing a remarkably similar experience at this same location involving samples and differential treatment. Seeing that after experiencing it myself was extremely concerning. Whatever the reason, customers should receive the same level of courtesy and service regardless of race. Absolutely unacceptable experience.

And on top of that, the price of the sandwich was the same for the chicken as it would have been for the salmon. I guess on Martha's Vineyard, the price of chicken is the same as the price of salmon. The salad was fresh and had a good dressing on the side but I thought the pizza was only ok. Still a great grab and go option.
