The pharmacy waiting area-light and bright
Victoria C.

Nobody wants to go to the Emergency Room. Unfortunately that was the case for me yesterday. I have had multiple strange symptoms for the last several months but yesterday, feeling so ill with the accumulation of these things, I had no choice but to go to find some answers out. I spent the better part of the day here. I found the staff to be very caring and considerate from start to finish. I was very scared when I went. I saw multiple doctors/neurologist. Everyone took the time to listen and pay attention. I felt nothing but honest concern and a calming presence. I really have no complaints at all. The hospital is clean and pleasant to be in. It seems well run and organized. They seem progressive and have everything state of the art. I think if you have to go to the emergency room (hopefully, you do not) then I think you are in good hands here. The pharmacy ( was quiet when I went) is very nice and the person I dealt with was so caring and answered all my questions.

I don't recommend this hospital or the clinics inside. I've had many unpleasant experiences with Drs. Ane nurses.

The lady upfront was rude when I asked her simple questions. I had to deal with her attitude and impoliteness during the interaction.

That alone made me feel cared for. I especially want to thank the nurse who received me this morning. I don't remember her name, but I will never forget her kindness. With her sense of humor and warmth, she eased my anxiety within minutes. In such a vulnerable moment, that kind of humanity makes all the difference. The medical team was professional, organized, and confident. Even in a highly technical environment filled with equipment, everything felt coordinated and reassuring. I felt safe the entire time. My procedure turned out better than expected, and I went home feeling peaceful and deeply grateful at 10:30 am Thank you for not only doing your job, but for doing it with empathy and heart. That is something that truly impacts patients and stays with them long after they leave I'm so grateful, thanks again all personal is amazing

During my visit, I experienced excessive wait times, poor communication, lack of follow-up, staff behavior. What was most concerning was lack of communication. I understand that hospitals can be busy and that healthcare professionals work under significant pressure. However, patients and families deserve clear communication, respect, and timely care. In my case, I had to wait 3 days for an MRI after that their wasn't a care plan to follow up. I had to advocate for myself for proper treatment. I am sharing this feedback not simply to complain, but in the hope that management will review these concerns and take steps to improve the patient experience. I would appreciate having someone from leadership contact me to discuss this matter further. Thank you for your attention.

She came into my postpartum room extremely rude and hostile, didn't even smile, didn't even congratulate me. She was very condescending and seemed to want to make me feel intimidated based on her job title, once I even found out what her job title was after our altercation... She demanded to me rudely to turn my TV off because I kept asking her to repeat herself, even after my infant was crying over her and I couldn't hear her, I wasn't even aware she was the social worker because she did not state that, she must have used another term but I was unaware she was the social worker when she introduced herself and her job title to me, not once did she say "social worker". After she left I asked the nurse when the social worker would arrive and they told me that she was the social worker. Her name was Ganell? Or Janelle? I felt like she made decisions based off her own personal dissatisfaction and judgment toward me, and was extremely unprofessional and power driven, keeping me at the hospital and preventing me from being discharged as some form of personal punishment for not taking her attitude very well. I even overheard that based on her judgement; that I might have to stay until Monday, and the stress has been killing me, for reasons she kept me, she didn't even inquire about, or even ask me to explain anything regarding her own concerns. I came in Wednesday at 6cm dilated in active labor around 3am and have another child waiting for me at home. I've been here basically 3 days and counting and I feel like I am in a postpartum prison. I don't understand why they cannot continue investigating my case at home and let me go home. Even a lot of other staff members and nurses are confused that I am having to stay so long and were surprised that I was no longer able to discharge based off Miss Janell's orders and "discomfort" of me.

They couldn't wait to get rid of me and they completely blew me off. Nobody went over paperwork with me. I never even saw a DOCTOR. They just gave me my paperwork and sent me out with a prescription for NAPROXEN. I sat in pain for another two weeks before I finally went to Tri City Hospital and they diagnosed me with Raynauds and gave me a calcium channel blocker. I used to love Palomar because they saved my Moms life but when it came to my care, I was treated like dirt. I'll never go back to Palomar ever again!

I was wondering at first and thinking how small is this area for parking to be a big of a problem. We came an hour early just to scout the place. They were not kidding. It's a big structure with lots of parking space but also full parking lot. Just like where I work.. it took us 20 minutes to find a parking space and was lucky to have it near the building where my appointment is. Reception wise, same as other Kaiser Permanente clinic or hospital I went to. In about less than 10 minutes, they called for my name and there's Ms Anna Lee and Mr Andrew receiving me warmly by the door. They brought me to my space and let me change into patient gown and Ms Anna Lee walked me through the procedure, Mr Andrew started my IV and I am very appreciative of him granting my request without questions. From there I already felt at ease and most of the questions in my head regarding the procedure were already explained. Few minutes passed and Mr Jonathan came in greeted me and introduced himself and took me to the procedure/sedation room. He also walked me through the things that will be done in that room. Mr. Cesar and Ms Kara were there as part of the team. Moments later, Dr Masters came in and explained to me what will transpire and ask me if I have questions. Procedure was done and all went well. I really appreciate being assigned to this team. They have exceeded my expectations. I was at ease and I have no doubts or questions during my visit. This is the quality of service I would like to have and also what I try to give to our patients as a healthcare personnel. Thank you so much to the whole team. Keep up the good work. :)

The parking situation has become very challenging since the hospital opened and there is often a bottleneck in and out of the free valet parking but that's just an annoyance. I have become increasingly frustrated by the time it takes to schedule elective appointments however. I was told I needed cataract surgery in June 2025. I didn't get a pre op appointment until 1/8/26. Recently I developed an issue with my scalp and wanted to see a different dermatologist than I'd seen in the past. His first appointment at that time (6/8/26) was at the end of September. I called the appointment line that day and made my request. I was told that there were no appointments available and they'd get back to me. When I followed through I was told I was on a priority list and they'd get back to me, which hasn't happened yet. I question whether any other HMO is better. I think they're great if you only need maintenance but, as you age, they don't have the invested resources to take care of my only growing needs.

One thing I do not like is it took me 12 days to get my Neck X-Rays back, me while I waited in pain. I don't know what it is about Kaiser but good luck trying to get any pain meds, anti inflammatories OR anxiety meds out of this company. I have suffered with long term social anxiety for the last 12 years now. I asked my doc for some Xanax which I only take for emergencies and he gave me 3 pills of Aadvin instead and never would refill my script. To me, this is absolutely ridiculous, I am not some junkie, I'm a 50 year old man who suffers with this crap. I quit that doctor as I didn't like his bed side manner anyway and choose another doc. "Never got the anxiety meds I needed, but thank GOD for street pharmacists. Fast forward to a new doc. I went in for a severe neck pain, once again, 0 help from the docs for any pain medication. They have me taking OTC stuff that's not really helping. "Again, thank God for my street pharmacists". The thing that sucks is, I pay 1000's of dollars for insurance and still can't get the meds I need. I miss my old private doc practice, where I could tell my doc what works for me and he would prescribe it it he agreed, not this Red tape corporate BS where you pay premiums and get the crap you need. I can't wait for my company to switch insurances again.
