I came across the dentist office by chance! My old dentist office closed during the pandemic and never notified me. We are a family of 5 and visiting the dentist can be hard at times but with this dental office hours it's been a breeze! The dentist are such professionals. They really care about the patients best interest. I'm grateful to have come across this dental office! I don't have to wait much in the dental office before a dentist comes. They're awful! Nasty staff who try to force appointments on you and call you to talk down and nasty because you miss an appointment that you didn't want in the first place. The manager and or supervisor pretends to care and make things right but she's as nasty and unprofessional like the staff she manages / supervises. Then you have a hygienist trying to do the dentist's work and clean out a cavity and won't fill it the same day. Then Covid shuts them down for 3 months and that cavity that was cleaned out and not filled becomes worse and causes the tooth to crack/break. and won't do anything to meet you half way to get that issue fixed I am so busy working that I don't visit them till many months later and when I finally have time to see them again, I explain what they did wrong and they do an amazing job trying to cover their wrong doing. They know that a hygienist should have never cleaned out a cavity so they deny that it ever happened. Years go by and I'm thinking of giving them a second chance and I go for a consultation. They're supposedly dealing w my insurance companies because I receive notification from one of my insurance companies denying procedures the dental office is requesting. About a month goes by and I don't hear from dental office. I just called today to see what's going on and they have all they're answers and info in line, but just failed to call me and update me on my options if I choose to proceed. The supposed manager/ supervisor is so unprofessional again and starts shouting over me as I'm explaining what they've done to me in the past and won't answer simple questions. Just yelling over me talking and being very defensive! They now lost business from a family of 4 for being liars, nasty, unprofessional and not owning up to their mistakes. read more

I'll admit, I haven't been to this dentist office in years. I had lost coverage with my favorite dentist and had to sacrifice and go with another. Chose Navarro due to the distance and, of course, affordability. They accepted payment plans. From what I recall, it didn't strike me as organized and I felt very much like a number. Get called in, look at mouth, get told what I need to have done, directed to front desk for payment. But it felt like I was being recommended to do a lot. When I went back to my preferred dentist (got insurance again), they asked what had happened to my tooth. The Navarro dentistry had put a cap over my cavity cause they said I needed it. My dentist was alarmed and said it looked like it was practically to the nerve of my tooth and didn't understand how I wasn't in pain. They had to redo it and luckily i didnt have to get a root canal. Reflecting on it makes me frustrated. Also got my wisdom teeth taken out because it was "necessary" even though I felt fine and they weren't coming out oddly. Theyd been the same for years. The place seems to try to milk as much money as possible. This frustration only came back today when I got an email from their office trying to probe me to come back for a check up. And I noticed they're advertising a 4.9 rating. When i tried clicking the link to see the source, it wasn't clickable. So that seems sleazy. I know that they try to appeal to the community because there are a number of residents who speak predominantly Spanish. And, like me, trust someone who is considered an expert when it comes to my teeth health. read more

I've been very patient with this dental office. While the receptionists have been nothing but kind, I saw about 3 dentists here and I was not satisfied with any of the work I received on my teeth. I had a crown on one tooth that hurts from time to time, 5 cavities that were poorly filed, temp refilled and now have become infected. I was told by one of the dentists that the fillings were poorly done. When I mentioned to one of the dentists that the pain was present she told me "no it doesn't" when I am the one experiencing it. Not to mention that I had to return 4+ times with the same pain to just be told to "wait if off" when temp fillings should've only been in for 2 months and it has now been about 6 with no permanent solution. I do not have any faith here and will be switching immediately. Aside from the neglect and gaslighting to be told by Dr. Navarro herself "we don't know what's wrong" while proceeding to still work on my teeth made me feel unsafe. I was also pulled into the staff lounge area with a staff member on lunch to be told this and not a private office did not feel professional at all. I had no prior issues before entering this facility and am disappointed with what feels like is going to be an expensive fix due to their lack of care. read more

Horrible horrible horrible service. I was rescheduled 5 times after calling with extreme pain due to a broken filling. Last minute they decide to call me that my appointment was canceled for the next day. I had already called out of work 3 times and their solution was to have me call out a 4th time. I was called by the scheduling manager and told she was rearranging the schedule for tomorrow and would have to take me off. She said "you are free to come but you will not be seen and you better not make a scene." I told her I have too much pain and will need to come in that Saturday and be seen it was the 5th time and the pain is horrible. The conversation escalated to the point where she threatened to call 9-11. I had high hopes for this establishment. Extremely rude and disrespectful. read more

They are all uncaring idiots with attitudes. I was in for a check up 3 weeks ago and they insisted on pushing a full set of xrays, instead of only the few needed for a 6 month time frame. I went ahead and did that. Later, when I asked for a copy of the xrays so that I could keep a file with all the work I would have done, Emma said she would send it the next day. Didn't receive it. I called and she then said it takes 19 business days. Still didn't receive it, even checked the spam folder. I called a few more times, t hen finally decided to ignore them too. They lost a good chance at lots of business with me, because I need a huge amount of work done. And my family does too. I also did not care for the fact that I did not see the main dentist. They stuck me with some lady who barely speaks English. Needless to say, I would not recommend this office, mainly for their lack of decent customer service. read more

2 years going to them for my cleaning that I was getting done every 3 months.Never had a problem with my teeth no cavities. On my last call with them trying to arrange new appointment they pushed me out 1 month. I told them I needed to update my account with private insurance no longer medical. All of a sudden they have appointments for the same week!! Trying to get me to go right away to bill the insurance. Right... On top of that turns out I have 8 cavities?!?! Dr. Navarro and her staff have provided for me and my teenager! She really authentically cares and is looking out for you and your best interest! Family have been coming here for years (me wife and 2 kids). I pay for the higher insurance through work, just so I can go here (PPO vs DMO, I forget which I have, but its the one you can pick your own Dentist). They have great customer service. I'm happy with the care and love we receive. There was a short stint we had to switch Dentists because of work. We needed something done and even though Dr Navarro wasn't my Dentist, they offered us a better price than my legit Dentist. I've found prices to be competitive, they given me estimates before doing the work, and the conscientious shopper that I am - I've gone to check other places to check price and it's little to no difference. You just have to ask questions, like how much will xyz cost, how much will my insurance coverage, and they're happy to get you all that info, and anytime they quote you anything they print it out for you. I mean it's a medical office, they tell you what they recommend, it's your choice whether to do it or not. I always ask what are my options, how much will xyz cost, is this something I need to do or something you recommend, what are consequences of me not doing xyz. It's nothing like when I go to Doctor's office (Kaiser), I pay my usual copay, then later I get hit with hospital and professional bill, for stuff I didn't even know I was getting charged for. Kaiser won't even let me ask what xyz costs, they'll direct me to a phone #. Versus the few seconds it takes me to walk to front desk (after Dentist tells me what I need) to tell me right then and there how much xyz will cost. Just my 2 cents read more

I was working in Casa Torres when they opened this clinic,  I was so excited to have a nice dentistry location like this one in Sylmar.  I started going with Dr. Navarro when I had my braces done,  since then I have been in love with this clinic.  Not only I have gotten my braces done but also whitening treatment, wisdom teeth removal and regular deep cleanings. My family and myself were recommended to this Dentist by a family friend and decided to try it. Pros: The place looks clean and uses new technology. Most of the Dentist Assistants are nice and welcoming. Hygienist: I've encountered with two of them at this place and they are decent. Cons: Where do I start? Well, I'll begin with the front desk. The ladies I've encountered there in the front desk/receptionist are not the warmest people in the world. They don't have the personality to be in customer service and they always seem to be too busy or bothered by you coming in. I've watch how they treat me and other people, no empathy, no charisma, no willingness to be of service. Dentists: I've been seen by only one of the dentists myself (Dr.Fabella) and this guy had no personality and the job he did(Two wisdom tooth extractions) and they were the most painful procedure ever. He even left piece of tooth on one of them and had to comeback because it was hurting. I've had this procedure done before and it was not this painful. I also told him I had a cavity that was bothering me, and he said that since it was in between two teeth and near another cavity that he couldn't do anything at the moment but to wait and see if it go worst. Well I went to see a different dentist and got it taken care of. I believe my benefits had been maxed out and he didn't want to do anything else, but why don't I get the choice to decide if I want to pay out of pocket or suffer??? My brother had root canals done and also had several problems with the dentists and has had to go multiple times for the same issue. My mom has had denture implants that keep breaking, chipping and keeps having to go back to get them adjusted or fixed. Her previous work from a different dentist lasted more than 8 years and this one can't even last a couple of months. Moving on to the insurance benefits staff, little after you have been seen by the dentist here comes this lady to TELL YOU not explain you what they're going to do to you and that it will cost you X amount without any explanation or giving you choices. Pricing: Way too expensive for the quality. Nobody likes going to the dentist, but your des rust experience shouldn't be this bad. I will never go back to this place, they took so much of mine and my family's money but not anymore. The owner, which is also one of the dentists there needs to take a look at her staff and daily operations there and make drastic improvements. It is located in an area where Dental offices are scared so I'm going to assume people will still go there. But if you are thinking of going here and are reading this review, I would recommend you go somewhere else. read more

One nurse is super nice but some of the others need to be retrained in basic courtesy and manners. My son has experienced a number of medical issues, including oral cancer. Naturally I was concerned that his dentist cause him no additional pain; and be compassionate and caring - otherwise he would not go. He is an adult, but he was terrified of dentists. I finally did some research for him and found Navarro Dentistry and Glenda. Other dentist would not set an appointment because they did not want to deal with all his medical issues. After researching Navarro's website and reviews carefully, there was something about their photos that spoke to me. I felt they were more than a dentist office. One Friday, I left a note for Navarro explaining everything about my son and his medical conditions. Glenda, their fantastic manager, called me THE NEXT DAY, from out of town. We made an appointment for that week. From that point on Glenda has been wonderful. She has answered all my questions and concerns with patience, compassion and caring. His first appointment with the dentist went well as did his second with the hygienist. My son walked out of that office like he had conquered the world and is no longer terrified. The nicest staff! So clean and beautiful office. It's roomy it's so unlike all he dentist office and the first time I don't cry or wanna cry seeing a dentist and have seen 2 yearly since 5 now 40! I used to HATE HATE going to the dentist and this staff all were amazing, talked me thru what they did would let me know this might hurt a little or let me know when I'm hitting you made me feel so at peace and anxiety was non existent within 10 minutes this is my 3rd time and every time has been nothing but amazing and highly recommended to all my friends and family! I went to this place for a crown, it was done wrong and came off. here at this so called dentist says: I need gum lengthening when it was placed wrong because in the first place the assistant one year ago was for over an hour continued after the crown specialist prepped for crown so (he leaves) and she begins to use a sharp tool scraping away my gums it was painful and I had gotten numbing injection and felt every sharp stab. I thought to go back when I paid for this dental work. I was sent back home a total of 2 times, waiting once over 2 hours and the last time just about 2 hours. The receptionist told me "nothing last forever". I told the so called dentist my tongue was having discomfort I think it's caused by my crown falling and the pole it had adhered to because I got a root canal years back. When she responded it was a ridicules and clueless offense. Not a good place! The first time she send me out she said next time she will see me it's a simple procedure and a hour long. came back for that simple procedure and she tried to have me pay for a specialist with a costly procedure. read more

5 stars for this place! They were one of the only few places that offered us a same day visit to check my husbands wisdom teeth that were causing him pain. They attended us with no appointment AND were able to remove his wisdom teeth on the same day too. I liked that there was no need for sending us to a specialist to get the work done, they get everything done there. We are thinking of becoming members of this dentist, just need to change our insurance because they dont accept HMO. read more

If you value your time do not come to this office. It's an assembly line set up and there are many patients set up for the same time. Today we arrived approx 10 mins early for our appt and still waited 30+ minutes in the waiting room. Besides the wait it is VERY warm in the waiting area, crowded and loud cartoons are on the TV. The staff is friendly but that doesn't make up for the time you are waiting in the lobby and in the chair. This is an ongoing problem at this office. Disappointed everytime! read more

This WAS a great place to come... the dentist was nice. But in my first visit some nurse lectured me on how I should be spending MY money on my teeth instead of my nails. And on the last visit, I was told they would only charge me $400 for a deep cleaning instead of $900. I found a much better dentist in the SF Valley that will do it for $200. 5 stars on Yelp. I called today and spoke to Rose. I wanted to cancel my appointment. Instead of looking at my history as a patient there, she just out right says, "ok you can cancel but we're charging you $75". I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS OFFICE TO ANYONE!!! So 1st time at this office I decided to try a new place closer to my home. I took both of my children. Mind you my kids are up to date every 6 months to their dentist for check up-The Dr takes their X-ray & tells me that one of my son's has 14 cavities and my other one has 10 cavities and that they both had gum disease. I almost flipped in my chair!! I literally laughed at the Dr And said WOW! How in the world did they get all that going on in their mouth within 6 months? Her response was it must be hereditary & if they don't get this issue taken care of now they will loose their teeth at a young age. She was very, very pushy and as I was having this conversation with her, her receptionist comes to me with a list of the price and breakdown of the "procedures needed." Point is I knew that lady was all about the money & there was absolutely no way in the world my kids had all that going on. I left went to a new place other than their original Dr just to see what the results would be. My child with "14 cavities" had 2 cavities my other child with "10 cavities" had 0 cavities and of course neither one of them had gum disease. Lol. It's a shame how low ppl can go especially when it's a "professional" so could you imagine if I would have been ignorant to stay? Hello people... I am not one to comment on any of the places I patronize, but these guys, especially Dr. Rosemary Navarro are on their A game when it comes to working with patients. My son was horrified of dentist's until he underwent treatment for much needed dental work with Dr. Navarro. They specialize in younger patients and are always friendly and courteous. They have been the easiest to work with in regards to my insurance and I am honored to be their customer. If your kids or family need a good dentist, search no more, these people are some of the best there is......I commend the dentist's and their staff for making my child feel at ease. i love this dental office. i went there in severe pain and got to see a dentist asap very professional and i must emphasise they have the best diagnostic tools available really ..i went to another dentist ( twin palms) beware...and he really didn't want to pull my tooth out he wanted me to get my mother to co sign on some overpriced root canal. long story short he gave me some antibiotics and pain pills and only took one x ray . i was in so much pain u went to navarro dendistry the doc expalined every single thing and oh by the way they took an xray of every single tooth and found another tooth that he saved from a root canal and filled two cavities medical covered it unlike. twin palms smh recommended read more
