Dr. Wang (as always) was very nice.. very friendly.. and he even asked me what kind of songs/music I'd like to hear. I was like hmmm boyband from 90's lol and you know what all of a sudden *NSYNC song came up I was the happiest patient in the whole world! I was still nervous but he was so calm and he made sure that I would not feel any pain at all during the procedure. The assistant, Natalia, was also very nice and calm. I was still enjoying the songs and all of a sudden Dr. Wang said "ok, it's done". Wow! The process took less than 30 minutes. Dr. Wang explained to me what to do after... he prescribed me some medicines, and I thought I was going to have the most painful night ever, but it's been 7 hours after the surgery and I haven't felt any pain yet. It's kind of uncomfortable but it's normal. I'm looking forward to come back in 2 weeks Thank you so much Dr. Wang! You're the best!

He has an excellent bedside manner and makes sure that you understand every step of what he is doing. He makes sure you are comfortable and let's you know it's ok to ask for a break. Great dentist and I'll definitely be coming back. Update: I went back in a panic 5 days after the initial procedure because of pain, I swore something was wrong. Turns out the pain was normal and he assured me it would be gone by end of week which it was. I appreciate him taking the time to see me and not dismiss me my panic. I also went back for my follow up today Oct 28 and its healing well.

The oral surgeon in charge (*NOT Dr Kissel) was twice unsuccessful and the implant didn't take. Fortunately an acquaintance of my wife directed me to Dr Kissel with whom she'd had a stellar experience after a car crash demolished her teeth. Dr Kissel assured me he'd be able to repair the bone and install and implant. He then discerned the reason the previous grafts failed: the adjacent tooth was also infected and would have to be extracted. How this escaped the notice of the oral surgeon that preceded him simply boggles the imagination. I'll spare you the saga that unfolded over the next three years. Suffice it to say that Dr Kissel went to nothing short of heroic lengths to repair my teeth and the considerable scarring of my gums from the aforementioned previous surgeries. This should not be considered hyperbolic, either - at one point he met me in his office at the very height of the pandemic to treat an infection. He was in full hazmat gear and the office was unstaffed and officially closed, but he came in to the city from his home on short notice. Despite the inconvenience and anxiety that leaving home during the most worrying peak of pandemic lockdown engendered, Dr Kissel was caring, professional and cool. He put me at ease during what was a very stressful procedure. I could go on for much longer than anyone would care to read as my road to reconstruction was so long and my admiration for Dr Kissel and his staff is so great. I'll simply say that cannot imagine a more qualified, caring, professional periodontist. HIGHLY recommended.
