Stay far away from seat E17 in theater 12, it was the most uncomfortable VIP seat I've ever sat in and when I informed the manager about my discomfort he just said sorry and thanks for letting us know, we will look into it. Walking into the theater felt a little nostalgic for me. It had been a while since I last sat down for a movie , especially since the Cinebistro experience is no longer around . So this time , I decided to try something new and headed over to NCG Acworth to see the Michael Jackson film . Right away, I noticed the difference in the atmosphere. Before even getting my ticket , I was greeted with rows of sweet treats and something that instantly caught my eye- movie blankets for sale . Now they was interesting. I've always been the person who brings my own blanket to the theater because it's always cold , and honestly, it just makes the whole experience feel cozier. Seeing them offered right there made me think ... okay, they get it . Someone clearly said, " Let's lean into comfort ," and I'm not mad at that at all. Another thing I appreciated was being able to choose exactly where I wanted to sit . There's something about having that control that already sets the tone for a better experience. Heck ! I may have to go potty . Who wants to come back and the seat is taken . Nice touch ! It felt relaxed , easy and welcoming- like I could just settle in and enjoy the moment . The seats were ok , I loved the numbers above the headrest to spot the seat much better . In lieu of the number located at the bottom front of the seats where they were also located. My only qualm about the seating is there's not enough foot traffic for people to pass by. But that has always been an issue with this type of layout . My toes were step on quite a bit, but at least the other movie goers were apologetic . I hate I have to touch elbows with the neighboring person but it's the way I've always remembered it. The vibe in the theater was great . No one was loud at all to be honest . I moved my head to the beat when the performance started but not enough to disturb anyone else's fun. The film was gold in my opinion . I won't spoil for anyone . Nia Long, did a wonderful job playing the role of the mother. I got a little emotional a few times because I truly miss Micheal's presence . He was a true star . And it was good to see some younger people watching. Although some looked confused . It's understandable. Micheal wasn't during their time. I have to mention the bathrooms- they felt outdated . Cleanliness could've been better , and I really wish the paper towel dispensers were touchless. I'm not a fan of grabbing a wet handle after everyone else , and a few of them weren't working anyway . Still , it's not a dealbreaker for me since it wasn't a totally bad experience. If another good movie comes out , I'd definitely come back . read more

NCG Cinema in Acworth is a small cinema that is tucked away from the busy streets of Acworth. While visiting friends, we decided to pop in for a Friday matinee screening of The Iron Claw. A few things I enjoyed about NCG, and was honestly surprised about were the ticket prices, which totaled $17 for 2, and the self serve popcorn station! The bigger chains could take a lesson from NCG on that! The popcorn stations were self served by dispenser, along with the salt of choice and of course, butter. The theater itself was small, only about half the size of your standard theater, however that did not take away from the movie at all. The seats were comfy, standard "rocking" style seats, the floor and seats were clean and the quality of the film on screen along with the sound was great. I did miss a few of the comforts of major theaters, such as expanded food selections and while it was great to get self serve popcorn, it wasn't the best. Also, the other thing I noticed that was lacking here was service. Overall, decent little theater that I would have no issue visiting again. read more

We have driven by many times but never realized it was a movie theater! It's a bit hidden. Thanks to$4 cinema day, we were able to check it out. Huge parking lot, reserved seating, clean bathrooms. Upon entering, it wasn't set up like other theaters we have visited and we weren't quite sure where to go but thankfully employees were waving at us so we walked towards them at the cash registers. We purchased our meal items from them and they showed us where we pick up the food in a separate concession area for drinks and such. They have reserved, ticketed seating but it looks like VIP seating is the way to go if you prefer reclining seats with more space. Our seats weren't bad but I felt very close to my neighbors. I was a bit disappointed when I realized that whenever someone opened the door to the theater, plenty of light shines in as the door enters directly into the theater (no hallway space). Awesome location. We might visit again now that we are a bit more familiar and know what type of seats to purchase. read more

Had a horrible movie experience yesterday with loud babies and children and very uncomfortable seats. We were stuck with seats at the end and everyone came late on our row which made us get up each time to let them in. They also made several trips out of the theater during the movie which caused us to get up and interrupt us each time, about 6 different times. We did not enjoy our theater experience at all. A theater attendant should come circulate and have loud customers with babies and children remove themselves or have them sit in back or during select shows only. We weren't able to enjoy the movie at all and will have to watch it again, possibly at another theater. The customer service at the ticket/concession counter was not great at all. None of them were friendly and weren't helpful at all with answering questions. The ticket prices are good but the theater smelled and the sound wasn't the best compared to other movie theaters. read more

Have not been to movies in years and never before at this theater. The afternoon matinee was nice. Lot of movie goers but still not too crowded. For a $2,50 per seat we got to upgrade our seats to reclining heated seats. Life is good! I'm not a big popcorn eater, but with free refills on popcorn, and a Coke we managed to chow down a big bucket of very tasty popcorn. Rachel at the ticket sales was really friendly and gave us great customer service. She answered our questions and was genuinely nice. Previously, I haven't had good experiences here, but my most recent visit was a pleasant change. The theater is open again after COVID-19 closure, though with limited seating. One small complaint: they only had one ticket counter open, so it took a little while to wait in line. However, once I was in, it was an excellent experience. The workers, especially the fellow at the popcorn station, was very kind. The bathrooms and theater were clean, and the seats were comfortable. I was pleased with the video resolution and the audio in my theater. I went to a "normal" showing, not IMAX or 3D or anything, but the sound was great. Prices are a little steep, but it's a theater. What would we expect? They do give refills on any size drink or popcorn, so you can't beat that. All in all, good stuff. It can be a bit hard to make a left turn out of their parking lot at certain times of day, so plan for that time if you're seeing a movie during a peak traffic time (not usually the case, but you've been warned). read more

Elvis was an excellent movie. Price is good. Now the bad: 1. Very dirty. Popcorn everywhere. 2. Sinks are set to very HOT temperatures for washing hands. They have a sign claiming it's to kill bacteria, I call BS on that. I say it's to save on their water bill. 3. Nobody scans tickets. You can literally walk into a movie theater without a ticket. Nice theatre tucked away off of 41. Huge spot with decent variety of movies showing. The concessions are nice and prices comparable to other venues. They do offer reserved stadium seating but only seats marked VIP are reclining. It was MUCH less crowded than Regal for opening weekend for Spider Man which was nice. we were watching the Minecraft movie and then the thing fell or something and then we missed a lot of important moments and only heard sound. and after like 3-5 minutes they turned it back on then we asked to rewind then they wouldn't. The seats were extremely comfortable and reclined a little bit and the theater itself give you a small but intimate setting. I left a 5 star review many years ago. This is still my favorite theater. I'm not sure the employees are quite as polite as they once were but refills.....they are worth a lot. And everyone was generally nice and helpful. The theater I was in had a confusing area.....stairs up to a platform? Everyone who walked in walked up to the platform of nothingness. Maybe rope it off. We thought maybe it was for handicapped seating except it is accessible by stairs. It was a lot of prime real estate - maybe you are getting the fancy recliners? But, can we please update the rewards system? Maybe an app or a type in your phone #? We forgot our card last night and got another new one. I was rushing to take in a last minute movie, the new Ant Man movie, and called to get some information on previews before the movie to see if I would make it in time, I called twice, got someone on the second attempt. She was helpful in telling me how much time I had before the movie started and explained the ad run time and then how long from previews to the actual film. I literally made it just in time to buy a drink and get to my seat as it was starting. She had it right, down to the minute and I appreciated. The lobby area was pretty clean considering traffic and it was dark in the theater but the area around my seat looked pretty clean to me. read more

I have not been in a movie theater in a while, and the last few years I have grown to expect only very comfortable seating and ample leg room, well this is not that. The seating super uncomfortable, I am 6' and could could not stretch my legs I felt like I was on an airplane, plus seats did not recline at all. Prices are kind of crazy, $12 for one ticket, but most theaters are this way: Went to see the new Bob's burger movie, and a younger looking manager started yelling at the employee helping me. The kid was 16 at most, and was most likely one of his first days. He accidentally charged me for the wrong candy, and i went up to get it fixed, and the manager came out of the back screaming at him. I told her it's okay and not a big deal, but she continued! Ive been coming here for over 6 years and I will keep coming back. The prices are what keeps me coming back along with the great popcorn. Yes,sometimes I just come for the popcorn and leave. Don't forget that while your at the movies all drinks and popcorn,regardless of the size have free refills. You can not go wrong with that. I'm all about saving a penny these days. We went to see Top Gun Maverick in theatre 3 and though I enjoyed the movie, this place is going downhill. There was a creaky old air conditioner unit in the ceiling that didn't make any cool air just constant noise. The 40 min of commercials were annoying as were the screechingly high volume of the few obligatory marvel superhero previews. The popcorn was bland and old and the the drink machines that actually worked lacked enough carbonation. The movie sound was good enough if you could ignore the clunky air conditioner wheezing away loudly during all the quiet parts, but the uncomfortable atmosphere and yucky overpriced concessions means this theatre had only of the three necessary things to make the $ you spend worth it. I gave it two stars because at least the employees were friendly and competent. read more

Took our boys to see Spiderman 3. Great movie. Theater is nice, decent price. Tuesday also has discounted snacks. Popcorn and drinks have free refills which is awesome. We got VIP tickets, $2 extra per seat, but totally worth it, IMO. VIP seat recline and also have seat heating, which is great for the cold natured like me. We will definitely visit again, especially afternoon showings as there are less people. The bad...pretty sure they don't wipe or sanitize anything after each show. Maybe at night?? We had to wipe out the seats and food tray. And basically no one wore masks, except employees. Maybe everyone is vaccinated? Anyway, the theater was not too crowded and no one sat in seats directly beside our group. And rows have plenty of room between. read more

I've been coming to this theater for 6 years. Every time I've shamelessly brought in a metal water bottle. I have a medical condition and need to drink water or I will pass out. I came in today and they told me I couldn't bring in my water. I put it back in the car and went to get a cup of water and they charged me 4.75$ for a water bottle. The least they could do would give me a free cup of water. Not my fault I need water in order to stay conscious. read more

Website changed the date when looking at seats and I purchased the wrong date without realizing. I'm typically an AMC customer but decided to give this theater a chance. Technology is non existence with this company. No electronic tickets and if you pre purchase you still have to wait in line with everyone else. Got to the counter to find my tickets were the wrong date. Manager couldn't do anything to rectify and made no effort to help in any way. Was told to repurchase tickets at full price and I choose to leave and go back to AMC. Glad we did as this theater is dirty looking just walking in the entrance. First impressions are big and between the website and ticket counter I won't be back. read more

This has never been my favorite theater; however, it is close to my house. A situation that transpired during our last visit has me considering driving a little further out to give another theater my business. We went to the 6:10pm showing of "Halloween* on 10-27-18. About halfway through the movie a middle-aged white male began shouting at a group of black teens seated in front of him. His threatening, expletive-laden rant got them all riled up and some started shouting back at him. The older man threatened to assault one of them. Finally someone stepped out to alert an employee and the group of teens were escorted out by an employee. Why was the self-appointed Movie Police allowed to stay? In my opinion, all disruptive parties should have been asked to leave, not just the group of teens who got stuck on the receiving end of some entitled white guy's bullying. It was handled very poorly and it totally ruined my movie watching experience. I will say this - I've only been to one great movie theater, and it's in Asheville. Most theaters have stuff you tolerate like long lines, sticky floors, overpriced popcorn, and nasty bathrooms. This theater does have a good front end staff and they make the lines move quickly. I have used this place exclusively since they have opened. Drinks and popcorn is great and bottomless. The prices have been on a rapid rise. Seats are clean, theatre rooms are clean. The means bathroom is clean but has old during smell. That's why 1 star. They are not reinvesting into the place. The carpets have become seriously dirty...just look at the bright edges where people do not walk....the seats are comfortable as stated above but the leather is coming off and looking worn out.
