A SPECIAL THANKS TO KAELYNN AND MADELINE! I am a regular customer but I was even more impressed with customer service when I had lost my AirPods in the theater. It had fallen out of my pocket and I had left without it. I had called the next morning and explained exactly where I was seated. Kaelynn found and quickly got back to me about the found AirPods. Came to a 7pm showing for a movie and none of the food was available as none of the machines were on. We had to watch a movie with no food or concessions other than popcorn. We do understand it is an "AMC CLASSIC" or better put "AMC HASNT BEEN UPDATED" Please update/relocate this theatre and add Dolby Digital. read more

Don't go in theater 1 on the left side. The movie broke in the middle of the action scene. Had to wait thirty minutes to begin with and then had to wait another fifteen for it to restart. read more

Like most theaters in the area, no fancy recliners and lavish snack bars but prices good. We went at 4 showing for 5 dollars. Very worth the price! Beat the crowd and eat dinner afterwards. Go right up the counter and get your tickets and snacks in one transaction. This can get difficult on Friday night crowds. Seating is ok and staff is always nice. Pretty disappointed. In big time need of an upgrade. Haven't been to a place where you had to buy the tickets outside in years.

What I like about this theater: 1) All the auditoriums have stadium seating. 2) The floors aren't sticky. 3) The bathrooms and seating areas are usually pretty clean. What I don't like about this theater: 1) The movies do NOT start at the published time. Expect approximately 25 minutes of previews (as timed by my sister's cell phone) every time. 2) They don't serve Icees. The theater makes Slush Puppies, or some other perversion of a frozen beverage. For me, the pros outweigh the cons. I think this is the best theater in the area, and if I actually leave my home to watch a movie, I try to see it at the Carmike in Cartersville. read more

My husband and I come to this theater often to see movies. Every time we come here, the staff is standing around doing absolutely nothing, seem less than enthusiastic to be here in general, and the theater audience is always extremely obnoxious. To say i'm disappointed in this establishment is an understatemen. When we walked in the young woman at the front desk looked about 18 or so and turned away paying customers all of age to see the R rated movie because they did not have a form of identification on them. Horrible experience. No wonder Netflix is raking in the money. I took my wife out for a Valentine's Day movie and Dinner. The theater had two people working the concession counter and not one at the ticket counters. We waited in line for over 15 minutes and the lobby filled with prospective movie-goers. Nope. The two workers had no sense of urgency or customer service. They fiddled around and chatted and lthe line grew. Two more workers finally stopped walking around and took a register to help. At a snail's pace, the line began to move. Horrible!! Why can they not staff the event properly. Where is the manager? This is just another example of why online purchases are "taking out" establishments. We finally purchased our tickets online and walked through. No snacks for us! Guess that's $40 they won't be seeing! read more

Funny how the best reviews come from people who do not live close to here. When the theater was Carmike...it was clean. It has taken a hit in that department. It is also ridiculous to have a place that is understaffed to have these long lines at all. There should be one persin up front just to sell tickets to people who dont want concessions...and a sign to let people who want snacks that they can purchase tickets at the concession counter. I grew up in Rome. During most of my childhood and through my teenage years, there were THREE movie theaters in Rome. Without naming the theaters, two were mediocre at best and the third one was super scary to go to. I love Rome and always will, but as a lover of cinema, discovering Carmike here in Cartersville was life-changing. I've been to better, but compared to the ones I grew up with, this place is amazing. The sound is great. The stadium seats are great. The concessions/ticket combo is so convenient and time saving. It's generally pretty clean. Ticket prices are high, but that's expected. I will say, however, that if you're not into movie previews you're gonna hate this place. It usually takes 20-25 mins after the advertised show times for the movie to actually start. I like previews, so it never bothers me... Hence the 5 stars. read more

Excellent theater. Incredible sound, beautiful screens, nice employees, comfy seats, and very clean. I've seen a ton of theaters seeing about 85% of movies that have come out in the last 35 years on the big screen and this one has everything you need for an incredible moviegoing experience. I recently moved to Rome where the theaters are really terrible (worse than the average $1 theater) and it's a blessing to have this place a short 30 min away. read more

I recently attended a screening of They Shall Not Grow Old. It is a documentary about the British Army during World War one. It was produced and directed by Peter Jackson. I have seen this film previously and loved it so much that I wanted to see it again. I really can't describe how striking this movie is in 3d. The people really come to life, almost as they are in the theater with you. Now here comes the problem: when watching this movie at this theatre, the 3D effect never comes through. I tried changing glasses. I tried asking at the concession stand if there were more glasses. The level of, "I don't care," was resounding. Truthfully, the whole level of customer care was pretty bad. I won't go into all the details, but I wouldn't reccommend. I felt as though the service was pretty condescending. read more

The ability to catch a movie or two without having to drive out to one of the bigger cities in Georgia is not lost to me. While the seats are the old outdated kind whereby you can't even raise the armrest, the pricing is much cheaper than what I would've paid back home in Philly. I visited the venue midweek and as a result I literally had the entire theatre to myself. Pretty good experience overall. Staff is friendly, just as you would hope and expect in a small southern town. read more

This theater is under terrible management. After paying online for a 3D showing, their staff re-directed my friend and I to a non-3D showing and did not refund or offer future compensation for a 3D showing, only offering up a "popcorn pass" for their blunder. AMC corporate was contacted and the management at this theater did not apologize either. Better to avoid this theater and spend your money elsewhere. read more
