While it was a late night movie and very empty, it felt like no one was really available. No one was scanning the doors and basically we could have enjoyed a free movie. Had to instruct another patron where to go to get their ticket scanned. Further this theatre is due for a remodel. Missing panels in the ceiling of our theatre where the hvac was possibly repaired. Seating isn't as comfortable as one would like and we moved around in them a lot during the movie to attempt to get comfortable. Being this is the one and only theatre in close proximity of our city we would like an upgrade hall! :)

Great Day at the movies to see Creed III, just a few hiccups with the theatre. Freshpopcorn was on point, the theater could have been a little more cooler! It was extremely packed and no empty seats. No one was at the corner to scan our tickets so we just searched for our theatre! Of course we will be back but, not during an opening weekend. Thanks AMC

The workers there should be ashamed of the food they served. First they handed me some nasty looking sliders. I told them I would not eat that and to give me a hot dog instead and they gave me a dog in a broken bun! Then one of the workers kept telling the girl who made my hot dog that it wasn't her fault and that it was the manager's fault. How was it not her fault when she made it? This was so disappointing. SMH. The manager came and prepared a new hot dog for me and that one was perfect.

My go to theater since Regal closed near me. It is very comfortable and the HD and 3D experience is nice.

So this time , I decided to try something new and headed over to NCG Acworth to see the Michael Jackson film . Right away, I noticed the difference in the atmosphere. Before even getting my ticket , I was greeted with rows of sweet treats and something that instantly caught my eye- movie blankets for sale . Now they was interesting. I've always been the person who brings my own blanket to the theater because it's always cold , and honestly, it just makes the whole experience feel cozier. Seeing them offered right there made me think ... okay, they get it . Someone clearly said, " Let's lean into comfort ," and I'm not mad at that at all. Another thing I appreciated was being able to choose exactly where I wanted to sit . There's something about having that control that already sets the tone for a better experience. Heck ! I may have to go potty . Who wants to come back and the seat is taken . Nice touch ! It felt relaxed , easy and welcoming- like I could just settle in and enjoy the moment . The seats were ok , I loved the numbers above the headrest to spot the seat much better . In lieu of the number located at the bottom front of the seats where they were also located. My only qualm about the seating is there's not enough foot traffic for people to pass by. But that has always been an issue with this type of layout . My toes were step on quite a bit, but at least the other movie goers were apologetic . I hate I have to touch elbows with the neighboring person but it's the way I've always remembered it. The vibe in the theater was great . No one was loud at all to be honest . I moved my head to the beat when the performance started but not enough to disturb anyone else's fun. The film was gold in my opinion . I won't spoil for anyone . Nia Long, did a wonderful job playing the role of the mother. I got a little emotional a few times because I truly miss Micheal's presence . He was a true star . And it was good to see some younger people watching. Although some looked confused . It's understandable. Micheal wasn't during their time. I have to mention the bathrooms- they felt outdated . Cleanliness could've been better , and I really wish the paper towel dispensers were touchless. I'm not a fan of grabbing a wet handle after everyone else , and a few of them weren't working anyway . Still , it's not a dealbreaker for me since it wasn't a totally bad experience. If another good movie comes out , I'd definitely come back .

Thankfully, one quick call to NCG Acworth on Thursday night turned things around completely. Shaila handled my self-inflicted scheduling mix-up over the phone with patience, professionalism, and an impressive sense of calm. She quickly rebooked me for the correct Friday night showing of Send Help -- no hassle, no stress, and not a hint of inconvenience in her voice. Beyond this experience, NCG Acworth is always an awesome, budget-friendly night out. The bottomless popcorn alone feels like a small victory, and the Lime and Vanilla Coke Zero flavor options make it even better. The comfortable recliner chairs seal the deal -- I enjoyed the movie a lot and appreciated being able to relax in style. Great value, great service, and a consistently awesome experience. Five stars all the way.

Normally I would buy my tickets through the app, but it wasn't applying the discount. So I just physically bought my ticket at the concession stand. I actually hate that they change how you buy your tickets and you don't buy them before you walk through. You have to buy them at the concession stand now. There was only one person working that area so he was ringing up tickets and fixing food. Which made things a pretty slow process. I actually saw two movies in one day so the first interaction moved a little faster. But the second movie it took a minute because the people in front of me were joking and laughing and playing so they slowed down the process. At one point, I even saw a manager walk-through. The young man asked her to help with the popcorn . She did, but then walked away after that. I still had to wait for several more minutes before he finished up their order they paid and left. My second movie started at 5:30 and I stood in line waiting to buy my ticket and to go in and didn't get help until about 5:47. The guy apologize that it took so long with the people in front of me. But I think that they should have at least two people running the confession stand area. One person making the food and one person ringing up the tickets and the food purchases. Things will run a lot smoother. I can only imagine what it's like if there's a line of people. Again, if the app would have been applying the price for the discount Tuesday, which is $6.99 I would've just purchased through my app and it would've been a much smoother process. So I think that's something that they should look into. The theater that went in both were fairly clean and pretty empty. It was only me and maybe a couple other people so that was great. I did go to the restroom after the first movie. The one that's inside the theater. The bathroom was nasty. Each toilet had pee and tissue all in it except the handicap. I felt bad for having to use that one, but it was the cleanest out of all. I usually don't go to this theater and now I kinda remember why I don't.

Which does not bother me as long as they can go back. I ordered food unfortunately it arrived to me cold and hard, which was a little disappointing. I just made the best of it. . The only thing I do not like is that they put your card on file and pretty much open up a tab and if you lock your card it will decline. They bombard you and literally interrupt the movie until you pay. There was someone behind me who had a similar situation and your card ends up getting charged multiple times.. which is fine if you have a low ticket item because the chargers thankfully do fall off. The person behind me and one of the waiters or I think the manager came, which pretty much talking through the last 30 minutes of the movie. I do think they should update their system to just pay upfront and pay every time you want something new instead of opening a tab.

Unfortunately, the issues started once we were seated for the movie. We placed our food and drink orders at the same time, but only two of us received our meals. My egg rolls were lukewarm, as if they had been sitting out, and the cheese on my nachos was cold. It definitely took away from the overall movie experience. This is an upscale experience with reclining seats that includes 2 seats per pod. Super cozy for a date night. Complimentary blankets are included at every seat for your enjoyment, at no additional cost. Now let's get to the fun part! IPIC is not your typical movie theater as they have a full bar with cleverly crafted cocktails, my favorite had to be the Lavender Lemonade. It's cool and refreshing and so esthetically beautiful that you question if you should drink it or admire it. But wait there is more, on top of having a full service bar they also have a full menu! Yes you still have the typical popcorn and candy option but they also include such dishes as spicy tuna on crispy rice, charcuterie and cheese platter, lobster rolls just to name a few. Everything is savory and delicious! They do validate parking, allowing guests to park in the garage for a discounted rate. Validation usually brings the cost to approximately $3-$3.50 for 4.5 hours. The cost of tickets range from $14 - $28 per ticket. I have come many times and plan on coming back many times more. IPIC has officially become my favorite theater!

There was no notification, no auto-renewal, and no indication in the app that I had ever been a Gold member. For a premium theater experience that relies heavily on app-based ordering in a dark theater, the lack of transparency was frustrating. Unfortunately, the experience only went downhill from there. There was a noticeable sewage smell in parts of the theater, which immediately took away from the upscale atmosphere IPIC is known for. I was also disappointed to learn that the blankets, one of the signature touches that made IPIC feel special, are no longer available. The food quality has also declined. I ordered the chicken tenders, and even staff acknowledged they are using a different supplier than they did in the past. The difference was noticeable, and not for the better. To make matters worse, our drinks took an exceptionally long time to arrive. I've happily paid premium prices at IPIC for years because the experience felt worth it. This visit felt like a series of cost-cutting measures wrapped in a higher-end price tag. Between the membership confusion, declining food quality, slow service, unpleasant odor, and removal of amenities, it's hard to justify the value compared to what IPIC used to offer. I hope management takes a hard look at the customer experience because the brand that earned my loyalty over the last two years feels very different today.

I like the old timey feel of the place. According to its Wikipedia entry, Tara opened in 1968 and the name is a nod to Gone with the Wind of course. It feels cozier since there are a mere four screens total. The small size also makes it a cinch to locate the bathrooms and your theater. Tara is owned by Regal so it's not truly independent but feels more indie since it's an artsy film house. There's a concession stand that serves ever-popular popcorn as well as beer. The seats were comfy enough, though towards the end, I was getting antsy but that might have to do more with the quality of the film. I was concerned about being able to see since this theater doesn't have stadium seating, but the slope of the floor was enough so that I could comfortably see over the two women in front of me. I didn't have any issues with the screen or sound. The other patrons were pretty well-behaved though cell phones loudly interrupted a couple of times, sigh. Since Tara is in a shopping center, parking isn't really much of an issue. There's a Publix and a couple of restaurants nearby too, like Hajime which my dental hygienist recently recommended to me. Next time I'm at Tara, I'll have to schedule my movie right so I can have ramen after!
