The front desk staff and the PT reviewed my doctor's notes and told me the visit would be "a hundred-something dollars" billed to insurance, with me responsible for 20%. Based on that, I agreed to proceed. Instead, they billed my insurance $360, leaving me with a much higher out-of-pocket cost. When I called billing, the manager said I must have misunderstood and claimed they don't give estimates, refused to check with the staff who gave me the quote, and told me to contact my insurance. I was also warned the balance could be sent to collections. This felt like a bait-and-switch, and the customer service was very disappointing. I won't be returning and recommend getting everything in writing before starting treatment. They billed 3 codes for every 15 min spent there, Therapeutic Procedures 97112- $126, Neuromuscular reeducation 97112 $70 & Therapeutic activities 97530- $162.00. Their is a reason I never ever want to see nurse practioners or physician assistants and this visit with Heather just solidified that. They do not hold MD degrees or have the proper knowledge or training to see patients. I am also switching practices because of this terrible experience and her rude demeanor. I might even dispute it with insurance as I was not supposed to see her.

One time before surgery I had to use volunteers to bring me up in a wheelchair. When I went to leave, they had nobody to come and get me so the receptionist wheeled me downstairs. He only spoke to me when I waived my hands in the air and asked him to speak to me as the patient. He did not acknowledge his chauvinistic treatment of me and said he was speaking to both of us even though he was only looking at my husband. I have seen Dr. Holm twice so far. I am very impressed by him…read more Maybe this is because I have seen so many doctors both traditional and homeopathic and I have not felt much better. Dr. Holm is very interesting. He has a great understanding of human biology and nutrition. We do stretches, massage, cracking of the upper back. We talk about weight lifting, working, posture at work. Every time I see him I get 'nuggets of wisdom'. He suggested I try to use a stand up desk part of the time. He also told me that weight lifting increases bone density. One thing that I like is he tries to teach me what to do so I can work on trying to improve myself on my own between visits. And what to do so I will have less problems in the future. I went to a chiro previously a few years ago. I felt the massage, supplements, and back cracking had a lot of theatrics. Dr. Holm is the real deal however. He knows his stuff.
