Always have a good time at Nearby Bar. It can get a little crowded in there easily, but it's usually fine. Parking can be a bit tricky since it's in Lodo, and it's mostly street parking. There's usually a spot somewhere if you don't mind circling the block. There's almost parking garages nearby if you don't want to try street parking. The drinks are decent and they can make just about anything if it's not specified on their menu. The bartenders are nice and seem to know what they are doing. Great for a pregame or a post game! I liked this bar! Has a fancy yet divey feel. It's on the smaller side inside, so just be prepared for that. A big group (unless they're not busy) would be tough. The drinks were good, I think were on the pricier side if I'm remembering correctly which makes it seem they're trying to be more fancy than to embrace that divier side, which not sure that's the better choice. Super cool venue. My son had already been so we knew what to expect. It's small, dark and gives a bit of a dive bar vibe, BUT the bartenders are talented! The idea here is that they will ask you some questions about what you like, don't like, etc... and then mix something up unique for you. If you don't like it, no worries, so there is no pressure. not so nearby to downtown denver but close enough. we walked here after a rockies game and it was worth the trek. there are no menus and you just tell the bartenders what you tastes textures experiences you want. they make all the reductions in house in the morning. i had a drink with carrot reduction! it was actually really good too. really great mixologists that know what they are doing. if i lived in denver, id definitely be a regular here. its a small bar with a few tables. they do have tvs to watch the games as well. and they are linked to the food spot next door so you can get some foods. read more

We made reservations at another bar, but the estimate was over an hour on a Sunday. It was the best thing that could have happened. The nearby bar has fully captured my heart. There are no menus, and that's the best possible thing. You pick a spirit and you tell Jonathan and Rachel what you want and they will find something you love. Open for a little over a month, Nearby is already dialed in on an inviting space, great location, but most importantly, amazing service and delicious cocktails. Located right on Platte, it's the perfect spot for pre or post dinner drinks. There is a long bar space with a few little tables. They do have small bites available including a cute charcuterie board to soak up some of your drinks. I always appreciate when a bar has something in case I choose to hang here for the night. This is especially easy to do in this case as I was well taken care of on my first venture in. Jonathan was insightful and helpful, friendly and engaging. A little hole in the wall that I've been meaning to go into since I moved into the area. I'm so glad I finally went in. Our mixologist was so friendly and engaging. I love the concept of this place - the mixologist asks you a series of preference questions from spirit choice, to flavors, and "deal breakers" for things you don't like. From there, they craft an original cocktail. I was blown away with the drinks that were made for us. The mixologist absolutely nailed the flavor profile I was looking for and used some 8 ingredients in making the cocktail. The best thing was it was refined and didn't feel like a random hodgepodge of flavors - everything had a purpose. Drinks are reasonably priced for the experience and quality you receive.
