She took the time to listen to what I wanted and made me feel confident leaving my dress in their hands. I also really appreciated that they offer a military discount, which was a nice bonus. A life saver of a business! I took my dress blues here to get tailored and was going to pick them up in three business days, but in a typical military fashion, leadership bumped the inspection date up to two days after I brought them in. These hero's not only managed to finish the job in a single day, but managed to do so on one of the busiest times of the season and even gave me a great price despite the inconveniences. This place is amazing and so efficient being next to Nellis AFB! I had a last minute blues inspection and I needed my blues coat to be altered and they did it in a day and I couldn't be more pleased with my results. They were so kind and made me feel so comfortable. I felt bad coming in last minute but they made sure everything was taken care of! The seams on my blues coat are seamless and can't even tell what I had done to it! The price is also very affordable and they have no service fee if you don't need it to be rushed!! On May 29th, I went in search of Nellis Alterations and found they had been purchased and the name was now Needle and Stitch. I dropped off 1 suit, 1 sport coat, and 1 pair of trousers. The trousers were to be hemmed with a 2" cuff and both jacket sleeves needed to be shortened 2". I was asked when I needed them I said the 9th of June and was told no problem. They told me to pick them up on the 7th, then called me and told me to pick them up at 2pm, the called me at 2pm, while I was driving there asking me to pick them up at 4pm right when they close. When I arrived the tailor wasn't there and they were closing so I couldn't thy anything on. I get home and opened the bags to find my clothing butchered with the worst tailoring I've ever seen. The inner stitching of my pants showing on the outside, bunching of the jacket sleeves, crooked buttons and the inner stitching is a mess. When I got a call from them the girl told me it was my fault and that I rushed her!!! I never rushed anyone! Just don't take the job if you can't do it correctly. I'd give them a 0 rating if I could. I will rate them anywhere possible because this is unacceptable! read more

The women there were extremely nice so writing this review saddens me. I had a bridesmaid dress altered. (Straps and hem) unfortunately the straps snapped the moment I put the dress on at the venue. making it so we had to jerry rig the straps so my dress looked ok from the front, and had to change my hair to cover the the straps. The hem was also super uneven. The price of the alterations were also way more than expected. I really would have loved to leave a 5 star review because the girls were very nice, but unfortunately I won't be back because of how expensive it was just to have a bunch of issues with my dress. read more

They are a godsend! I needed an urgent alteration for my uniform items and they went above and beyond on care and quality of alteration. Everyone is so nice and attentive to your needs. TLDR: Save yourself the time and money, just go on base where presumably they have read the uniform reg. I only wanted basic alterations to my OCPs- stitching name tags/rank and banding the trouser legs. 14 days and ~$80 later, the OCPs were returned with the name tags reversed (last name on left side) and the trousers banded all the way at the bottom (defeating the purpose since now they would sit at the bottom of my boots). I asked for both issues to be fixed and they fussed at me, trying to claim I was wrong about the name tags. 14 additional days later, the uniform was returned with the name tags crooked and I was charged an additional $20 on pickup. In total, I wasted a month and almost the value of a new uniform and now I still need to bring the top to a different tailor to fix the name tags. read more

I started coming to Nellis Alterations in 01/2019 after relocating to Las Vegas. The customer service is good, the quality of work is excellent and the prices are reasonable. I have used their services 5 times. After not coming here from 03/2020 until 12/2020 due to COVID-19, I was saddened to learn that the beautiful older Asian lady Ms. May who would always greet me with a smile and laughter passed away last year. Not only was Ms. May skilled at her profession, but she was also a wonderful person. Ms. May you are truly missed! Went in to get 3 pairs of sweat pants hemmed. Was told it will take a week and pickup is after 3pm so my receipt showed 18 Jan Pickup. Today the 19th I went to pick up my pants. Owner told me pickup is after 3pm, I asked het if I had to drive back after 3pm she said pickup is after 3pm. I informed her of my heart condition and couldn't return the same day...she then told me she is refunding me my money and my unfinished pants. I showed her the receipt with the 18 Jan pickup and she told me they were not done and she was giving me my money and pants back...why didn't she just tell me they were not ready yet. I told her I needed my pants hemmed and I will wait for her text to tell me to come pick them up.. To me its a hell of a way to treat customers and a hell of a way to do business. I waited the 7 days and paid for the alterations my receipt said 18 Jan pickup after 3pm. Sorry but her attitude was out of line, Never using them again. read more

Being that Nellis is an Air Force, do you know how HARD it is to find Marine Corps Chevrons and insignias? Almost IMPOSSIBLE! My friend recommended this place so I made the call to see if they had any USMC Service Bravo E7 Chevrons (very specific, I know) on hand. I called and to my surprise... they had a set and they offered them FREE to me if I paid for the sewing service fee. I dropped the uniform off to them at 1:45PM and it was ready within 10 mins! We took 2 pairs of dress pants to be hemmed and a jacket that needed a zipper replaced on January 24th. We were told they would be done in a week. Returned on 2/1 still werent done. Returned on 2/3 to be told the order would be ready on 2/6. We waited until 2/8 to pick them up. The pants had blue fabric for the hem and when it was brought to their attention the girl behind the counter got an attitude and said that's why I hate dealing with you people- meaning military ( I am a retired Air Force veteran)...they are outside and Air Force base, who does she think her clientele will be??? She started pounding her fists and cursing and said take your stuff you don't owe anything. We ended up calling the police because of the attitude to make sure we weren't charged with theft. read more

This is the only alteration shop in Las Vegas that I trust with my uniforms. I've had my OCPs and ASUs tailored here. The owners know the standards our uniforms need to be in. I even quizzed them on this and brought a different size rank (female) to see if they would notice and they immediately did. Heading out to SDCC this weekend and decided to cosplay. One of the items for my costume did not not arrive until Monday evening and to my dismay, it was too long. Tuesday, I checked with multiple places to see if they could alter it in a few days time. All said no. I was ready to give up when I saw this location after stopping for a bite to eat. I walked in as they were closing up for the evening. They listened to my issue and said they could help. I was able to pick up my altered item within 48 hours and it was perfect. This used to be my go to place for uniforms. However, due to some family issues the service here has taken an absolute dive. I have uniforms in the shop but their doors have been closed sporadically for the past four weeks and I can't get them out. It is completely unacceptable.
