Can be hit or miss depending on what you order, however I will say the service is good. We all got kebabs and I'll give my rating for each: chicken - dry, simple "wagyu" beef - tastes like butter, fatty, not great lamb - gamey, better that previous koobideh - soft, juicy, delicious. the best choice. Stay away from the other skewers they just don't hit the same as the koobideh. The rice was good and you get a tomato. Overall pretty good spot, maybe go when they have the belly dancers that's always fun. Aside from that they have no persian beers, wines, etc. Doesn't really feel cultural without being able to try something new. A bit expensive which is why I'm rating 3/5, if it was 25% cheaper it would get a 4/5. read more

Probably a little closer to 3.5 stars, but I'm rounding up because I think my expectations were a little too high going into it. I'd had this spot bookmarked for years before finally coming in, so the excitement was real. Came in with a friend who comes here all the time with her family, they have a huge menu so it was very helpful to have someone who knew what they were doing. Though they do have descriptions of everything on the menu, names are Persian so I didn't know what most items were. Three of us ordered a bunch of stuff to share. We started with Mast-e-Moosir (yogurt dip) and Mirza Ghasemi (eggplant and egg dish) for apps. We also got the Tahdeeg (crispy rice with stew) and for mains we got Baghali Polo with lamb shank and Chicken with Bones and Ground Beef skewers. While I've had crispy rice that I've really liked in the past, I wasn't a fan of the Tahdeeg, seemed like it could've been cooked a bit more and then cripsed up for a better texture. I'm not huge on eggplant so the Mirza Ghasemi wasn't my favorite, but it was still okay and was a hit among others. We dined at Negeen restaurant last weekend and everything was amazing -- the food, service, and beautiful updated setting all made for a wonderful evening. I happily gave them a 5-star review based on that experience. Wanting to share that same great food for a birthday celebration at home (since we had a few seniors in our group), we decided to order takeout. I placed the order at 4 PM and received a text confirming it would be ready by 4:35 PM. Two family members went to pick it up, but a few minutes later my husband called saying they couldn't find our order -- even though we had received a confirmation! Shortly after, they said they had "found it" and it would be ready soon. Unfortunately, it took another half hour before the food was finally ready. Given that kabobs don't take that long to prepare, it was clear the order hadn't been started until they realized the mix-up. What made it worse was that no one apologized or took responsibility for the delay. My husband even mentioned that the woman he spoke with seemed dismissive -- not a good look, especially for a loyal customer. To top it off, we ordered *Gheymeh Tahdig* as an appetizer, but they gave us a combo with *Ghormeh Sabzi* instead -- a dish our family doesn't care for. It's really disappointing to see such a great restaurant drop the ball so quickly. This restaurant was recommended by my Persian friend and she was absolutely right! The food here is excellent: fresh, flavorful, and truly authentic. I love that Negeen is tucked away in a quieter part of Campbell, with its own parking lot (a big plus!). As soon as you walk in, you're greeted by a very courteous hostess, and the restaurant itself feels clean, spacious, and welcoming. I had the chicken koobideh and beef koobideh, both were super delicious, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. From what I hear, they even have live dance performances on the weekends, which sounds like so much fun. We'll definitely be back! read more

I used to frequent this restaurant when I lived in the area. Having moved away, my visits are few and far between, but I enjoy each one. I love that this restaurant still brings out a complementary basket of bread and some feta cheese . This time, I had their Salmon Kebab and asked for "Bahgalli polo" (green rice with Lima beans) instead of the usual white Basmati rice. This combination is heavenly and the Salmon was cooked to perfection. I also enjoyed the Salad Shirazi as an appetizer (diced tomatoes, cucumbers and onions) and then some Faloudeh for dessert. Service was also very friendly and fast, granted it was just us there. The dolmeh were good, I am used to the greek version so I was just surprised to get them warm and a tad sweet. But I liked them! I had never heard of this restaurant until driving by recently, and then suddenly heard 2 reviews so had to try. Came in casually at an off hour, into this strip mall establishment that doesn't seem like it once you walk in. A lot of negative comments here about the decor, which was completely fine - nice even! Hostess wasn't able to communicate with us, but we did end up getting served by helpful staff who gave us tips on eating the complimentary appetizer and vegetarian recommendations. Get the Kashk-e-Bademjan eggplant appetizer, bottom line. It is the best eggplant dish I've maybe EVER had. So much flavor with a little crunch from walnuts and fried onions. The veggie kabobs were simple but delicious. The rice was fluffy and buttery. I would have loved a fresh piece of pita with this to make the meal complete. We were excited to try a new Persian restaurant. When we arrived a little after 7pm, only 3 tables were full, most of the restaurant was empty. The hostess asked us if we had a reservation and we didn't. There was no reservation system on their website. She told us every single table was reserved, which was clearly not true. 7pm is prime time and the restaurant was fairly empty. Also, she wouldn't let us wait for a table, as there were many empty tables. There's a strong possibility the one employee was either racist or was turning away customers for unknown reasons. Hands down one of the best Persian restaurants ever!! I thought I didn't like kebabs anymore, but it turns out I just did not have any good ones for a long time until coming to Negeen! We tried the lamb, chicken, and beef kebabs, and they were incredible. The chicken is so flavorful, and the beef is so tender. I also really like the saffron rice with cranberry and other toppings. Delicious Persian food in Campbell! I've been here several times and it never disappoints. The Koobideh and the Khoresh Badejman, along with the fluffy basmati rice are my favorites. I love to wrap the kabob meat in the Lavash bread with the raw onions and the Khoresh Badejman, which is an eggplant dip. My only critique was that the lavash bread was a bit dry, prob was cut some time ago. Service is always impeccable and they even have belly dancers on certain nights. This restaurant is way too old and dirty. Salt and Somagh on the table is nasty old, idk why there's a few decoration Cabinet in the restaurant, old clock, Carpet disgusting, ceiling (popcorn style) decoration gold and flowers hanging heart from valentines still there, curtains, chandelier in the middle of restaurant it's very outdated even in Iran you won't see like that kinda of restaurant. I hope the owner is going to take care of the cleaning and updated everything in this restaurant because I love the food and waitress. read more

Decades of eating at negeen for dinners, holidays and special occasions. Our visits have dwindled to say the least in the last decade then 5 years then couple of years. Decided to order food for a small christmas gathering tonight. This chicken is what appx $200 gets you at negeen (see pic) DISGUSTING RAW CHICKEN. Our kabobs were bloody and everything was cold and stale (rice and bread) We had to recook everything. It was embarassing infuriating, dangerous to eat and a waste of our time especially after driving half an hour each way to get there. NEVER AGAIN. We tried for hours after pick up to call and no one answered. Will be giving them a call tomorrow along with our bank. Let's hope the toilet is not our best friend tonight. read more
