Probably a little closer to 3.5 stars, but I'm rounding up because I think my expectations were a little too high going into it. I'd had this spot bookmarked for years before finally coming in, so the excitement was real. Came in with a friend who comes here all the time with her family, they have a huge menu so it was very helpful to have someone who knew what they were doing. Though they do have descriptions of everything on the menu, names are Persian so I didn't know what most items were. Three of us ordered a bunch of stuff to share. We started with Mast-e-Moosir (yogurt dip) and Mirza Ghasemi (eggplant and egg dish) for apps. We also got the Tahdeeg (crispy rice with stew) and for mains we got Baghali Polo with lamb shank and Chicken with Bones and Ground Beef skewers. While I've had crispy rice that I've really liked in the past, I wasn't a fan of the Tahdeeg, seemed like it could've been cooked a bit more and then cripsed up for a better texture. I'm not huge on eggplant so the Mirza Ghasemi wasn't my favorite, but it was still okay and was a hit among others. Of the chicken and beef skewers, the beef was the winner, and of all the meats, the lamb shank was the winner.

We dined at Negeen restaurant last weekend and everything was amazing -- the food, service, and beautiful updated setting all made for a wonderful evening. I happily gave them a 5-star review based on that experience. Wanting to share that same great food for a birthday celebration at home (since we had a few seniors in our group), we decided to order takeout. I placed the order at 4 PM and received a text confirming it would be ready by 4:35 PM. Two family members went to pick it up, but a few minutes later my husband called saying they couldn't find our order -- even though we had received a confirmation! Shortly after, they said they had "found it" and it would be ready soon. Unfortunately, it took another half hour before the food was finally ready. Given that kabobs don't take that long to prepare, it was clear the order hadn't been started until they realized the mix-up. What made it worse was that no one apologized or took responsibility for the delay. My husband even mentioned that the woman he spoke with seemed dismissive -- not a good look, especially for a loyal customer. To top it off, we ordered *Gheymeh Tahdig* as an appetizer, but they gave us a combo with *Ghormeh Sabzi* instead -- a dish our family doesn't care for. It's really disappointing to see such a great restaurant drop the ball so quickly. I hope they take this feedback seriously, because we truly loved our first experience and would love to see them do better!

Salmon Kebab with baghalli polo (rice)

I used to frequent this restaurant when I lived in the area. Having moved away, my visits are few and far between, but I enjoy each one. I love that this restaurant still brings out a complementary basket of bread and some feta cheese . This time, I had their Salmon Kebab and asked for "Bahgalli polo" (green rice with Lima beans) instead of the usual white Basmati rice. This combination is heavenly and the Salmon was cooked to perfection. I also enjoyed the Salad Shirazi as an appetizer (diced tomatoes, cucumbers and onions) and then some Faloudeh for dessert. Everything was terrific and I look forward to my next visit.

I ordered ground beef and filet Mignon. I liked ground beef. I did not taste seasoning for Filet Mignon. Overall was good. They had delivery option available through DoorDash

We always order take out but I think eating there tastes better. It's our favorite spot to go to when we want Persian food. I like it better than CHELOKABABI in Sunnyvale.

Ground beef and fillet minon were tender and really delicious. Lamb shank is fall of the bone tender. Not much flavor though but it does complement the rice it came with, as the rice is flavorful. Decor were nice and service is good. Our attendant came to us a couple of times to check on us and see if we need anything.

Well-cooked food. I enjoyed the kebabs. The lamb was not gamy. I do not like gamy meat.

Ground chicken and ground beef kebab plate

Solid Persian restaurant. Their portion sizes are hugeeeeee so I would recommend only getting like 1 plate for like 4 ppl. I ordered delivery and it was very well packed. The ground chicken kebab was really yummy. It was tender and well marinated (***but most importantly not too salty). I also quite liked the ground beef kebab -- it was also juicy with yummy marinade. I liked the sauce on the chicken a little more though.

I did love their appetizer - cut pita with fresh cheese, basil and onion. Will go back for this. I did not enjoy the other food we ordered but will come back and try other food if I am in the area.

I visit this restaurant many times and every time is a treat. Today for the first time, I had the prawns kebab, and it is perfect in every which way. And the green rise is heavenly as well.

Their food quality has declined. Kababs are getting smaller, the stews are below average. Their prices keep going up.

I came into the restaurant asking how long my order would take, she said 10 minutes. Although there were chairs and tables under an eave, I chose to go to the car. Faviola brought the food to me and it was sprinkling outside! She even came back and gave us extra utensils when she realized there were two of us. All the while smiling:) I ordered via yelp because we were starving and easily this restaurant has their menu in organized and visually appealing. Their descriptions and the variety of selections and customizations on point. My husband said he wasn't hungry but then saw the food and we scarfed it all down. He gave it 8.5 and said would come back. I ordered pickled vegetables which I thought was going to be onions but I think it's actually cabbage. Not my preference so I will take that home to the parents. Did order yogurt dip- husband was a fan. The chicken thigh and filet were so tender. I had put a note on the order for medium rare. I wouldn't call that medium rare but it was tender nonetheless. I'm sad I had to pay extra for a half of a Roma tomato, salad and lavash- the lavash I saw it in the add-ons menu so I assumed it wasn't in there. Ended up with so much lavash. No need to buy extra. The entire thing came up to $63-ish. The food was 4/5 but service was 5/5! I know this economy has everyone struggling. This was probably the most I have spent on Mediterranean food. I would have expected $45-$50. We just came back from Turkey so this would have costed us $15-$20 USD. Portions for rice and meat were good though! All in all- would come back!

I got my usual Beef Koobideh (it was okay, a little bland compared to the persian places I have tried in Los Angeles, NJ, FL, etc...). The beef koobideh was larger than most other places and they gave a lot of rice too (which I like). My son got the Chicken Koobideh, he also thought it was okay... he was indifferent. I tasted a bite of it, it was also less flavorful than I would usually expect. My wife got the Jewel Polo with Steamed Chicken. She was the one with a not happy review, she was telling me that it was unlike any place she had ever tried and was like "All they did was lightly boil the chicken and put it in the tray". I didn't try it because that is not my dish, I only stick with Beef Koobideh anywhere I go. The people working here seemed very friendly, the customers were also very friendly since they seemed to know the workers and helped me flag down the main guy for a question. My review isn't to discourage anyone from this place. It just didn't hit the spot for my wife so I won't be able to give it a second try. As a south asian person, we like our food with lots of flavor and lots of spices... so you might find this place perfect for your palate. My wife kinda forced my hand on the topic, I would not beat them up as harshly (I ate all of my Beef koobideh and enjoyed it, but even left to my own opinion... I'd go back to my usual place for a familiar flavor). I only took one star off because of the feedback from my wife.

I guess these guys are too greedy for decency. Despite the good food, I recommend avoiding unless you are ok waiting over an hour.

They generously gave us their flatbread and hummus for free, which was delicious! The hummus has a bit more tahini and lemon than the other hummus I've tried at other Middle Eastern restaurants. The bread was phenomenal, I devoured a whole basket by myself within minutes. Lathered with their hummus, can't find this quality anywhere else. The Ghormeh Sabzi had a fresh herby, minty soup with kidney beans and ground beef. My boyfriend loved this and commented how it's like being in a Persian mom's kitchen. The owner has lots of hidden and outrageous charges. We were very disappointed that they charged us $37.99 for 1 skewer of koobiedeh & 1 skewer of chicken kabob with bone ($10 extra), oily rice and the smallest bbqed tomato. $6.99 for 1 cup of "homemade" lemonade sour and with crunchy sugar on the bottom. $13.99 for the smallest microwave reheated (cause even the plate was hot) kashkeh bademjan. And even more disappointed when we ordered a togo order of 1 skewer of chicken kabob & 1 skewer of chenjeh and being charged almost $60 dollars!!! You can see this on our receipt (that thankfully my mom asked for because when the bill came out we were shocked). - We asked the owner about all the charges and she just said "that's our menu charges" and walked away. The prices are outrageous for the quality, portion sizes and cheap corny decoration/table settings. Like plastic table coverings, pitchers for water, smelling piping in the bathrooms, servers running (literally running) around with $60 portions, come on! The owner claims it's a "whole Cornish hen" and that's why they charged us so much. Hmm. We are obviously Iranian and therefore have been to MANY Iranian restaurants, that was not a whole Cornish hen. If so, poor gal only had one breast, one thigh and one wing. And the yellow food dye they used on the chicken was stuck on my fingers after many hand washes. The koobiedeh's weren't bad but very dingy and thin. Not "por bareekat" as we Iranians say... not sure how to translate it. We won't come back again. I gave 2-stars because the Afghani bread they served was warm and fresh.
